  • Nowadays, insufficient parking lots give rise to a serious problem. Cars are increased in geometrical progression, but parking lots that takes in cars are relatively limited. Often we spend a lot of time to look for a parking lot because of limited parking lot. To solve this problem, we can use real time parking lot information system provided from mobile vehicles. In this paper, we will tell you how to deliver the parking lot information in real time by construction wireless network environment to be provided real time information and making XML data that is easy to share and to exchange data between applications.

  • 이동체 기술은 자동차, 비행기, 선박 등과 같이 시간에 따라 공간상의 위치를 변경하는 시공간 객체에 대한 효율적인 데이터를 관리를 의미한다. 최근 정보통신 기술의 발전으로 이동차량의 위치를 측정하는 다양한 방법이 개발되었으며, 이를 기반으로 하는 개별적인 응용 시스템들이 개발되었다. 그러나 대부분의 기존의 관련 시스템은 특정한 단일의 측위 장치와 통신 방법만을 고려하여 구축되었기 때문에 이들간 데이터의 원활한 공유가 어려운 문제가 있다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 기존의 추적 기술을 토대로 생성된 다양한 형태의 위치 데이터를 통합하는 이동체 위치 데이터 인터페이스 모형을 제시한다.

  • 본 논문은 GPS 수신기와 CDMA 통신모듈을 장착한 이동단말기를 대상으로 자신의 위치를 Windows Mobile 운영체제의 API를 통해 중앙의 서버에게 전송하는 프레임워크를 설계하고 구현한다. 단말기 소프트웨어는 자원의 효율적인 사용과 확장성을 위하여 GPS 쓰레드, 통신 쓰레드 등으로 구성되어 미동기적으로 GPS 위치 정보를 공유 자료구조에 저장하고 응용에서 정의한 주기에 의해 중앙서버에게 보고한다. 서버는 이를 받아 위치로그의 생성, 이동객체 위치 트래킹을 위한 가시화 등 다양한 응용을 작성할 수 있게 된다. Garmin 포맷의 분석, RAS에 기반한 CDMA 통신, 쓰레드 처리, 서버의 로그 생성 등 핵심적인 요소들의 구현에 의해 차량 텔레매틱스 등 다양한 위치기반 응용을 작성할 수 있도록 한다.

  • 요즘 많은 사람이 사용하고 있는 쏘카, 그린카, 피플카, 딜카 등 카 셰어링(car sharing) 애플리케이션 방식에 대한 차량 외관 부분이 많은 문제점으로 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 카 셰어링 시스템에 SURF(Speed-Up Robust Feature) 시스템 방식을 휴대폰 애플리케이션에 적용하여 카 셰어링 시스템에서 발생하고 있는 외부적인 훼손에 대하여 사용자들의 안정적인 보안 솔루션을 제공하고자 한다.

  • 최근 수년간 급속도로 발전한 정보통신(ICT) 및 인공지능(AI) 관련 기술은 사회전반에 걸쳐 모든 산업영역에 변화의 바람을 불러일으키고 있다. 교통부문에서도 이러한 기술의 융 복합을 통해 교통체계의 효율성과 안전성을 향상시키기 위한 노력이 자율주행의 기술발전으로 나타나고 있다. 자율주행은 그동안 인간이 운전해오던 자동차 중심의 교통체계에 혁신적인 변화의 동인이 될 것으로 전망된다. 개인 승용차 시장에 자율주행자동차의 등장과 버스, 택시 등 대중교통과 공유교통차량의 대중교통 기능 적용, 그리고 트럭 및 대형버스 등 상용차의 군집주행기술 도입 등 다양한 분야에서 산업화가 진행되고 있는 것이 그 이유다. 이로 인해 시민들의 일상생활에서 가장 중요한 부분을 차지하는 이동성(Mobility)을 제공하는 서비스에 상당한 영향을 줄 것으로 예측되고 있다. 본 고는 자율주행이 가져올 미래 교통체계의 변화로 대변되는 스마트 모빌리티에 대한 기술과 서비스 방향에 대해 진단하고, 효율적인 산업화를 위한 방안을 제시한다.

Improving the Efficiency of National Defense Transportation Information System by using ITS (ITS를 활용한 국방수송정보체계 효율성 증진에 관한 연구)

  • Currently, when the military performs military operations in wartime and peace time, it is important for him to obtain repeatedly updated traffic information for security of the military supply support. The purpose of this study is to present an acquisition way of the repeatedly updated traffic information which the military is available. To achieve this Purpose, firstly, this paper finded types of traffic information which the military demanded and limitations caused by an connection of traffic information network between the military and associated government agencies. Also. grasped ITS(Intelligent Transportation systems) equipment operation by associated government agencies (Ministry Construction & Transportation, Korea Highway Corporation, Seoul Metropolitan Government, National Police Agency, Korea Institute of Construction Technology) and connection situations of traffic information network among associated government agencies. On the basis of these materials, this study presented the most efficient connection method in the field of the space and the contents of traffic information between the military and associated government agencies and ITS connection system between the military and associated government agencies was contrived. Throughout the upper processes, this paper showed a method which is available for acquiring ITS traffic information of associated government agencies. In addition to the connection method of ITS traffic information network, resolutions for the problems caused by connection of ITS network were come up with. But the more deep study for this matter is needed since resolutions for the problems of the ITS network connection, which this paper presented, were very restricted.

Performance Evaluation of LTE-VPN based Disaster Investigation System for Sharing Disaster Field Information (재난사고 정보공유를 위한 LTE-VPN기반 현장조사시스템 성능평가)

  • In the event of a large-scale disaster such as an earthquake, typhoon, landslide, and building collapse, the disaster situation awareness and timely disaster information sharing play a key role in the disaster response and decision-making stages for disaster management, such as disaster site control and evacuation of residents. In this paper, an exited field investigation system of NDMI (National Disaster Management Research Institute) was enhanced with an LTE-VPN- based wireless communication system to provide an effective on-site response in an urgent disaster situation and share observation data or analysis information acquired at the disaster fields in real-time. The required performance of wireless communication for the disaster field investigation system was then analyzed and evaluated. The experimental result for field data transmission performance of an advanced wireless communication investigation system showed that the UDP transmission performance of at least 4.1Mbps is required to ensure a seamless video conference system between disaster sites. In addition, a wireless communication bandwidth of approximately 10 Mbps should be guaranteed to smoothly share the communication and field data between the survey equipment currently mounted on the survey vehicle.

  • Recently, the IoT (Internet of Things) environment is being developed rapidly through network which is linked to intellectual objects. Through the IoT, it is possible for human to intercommunicate with objects and objects to objects. Also, the IoT provides artificial intelligent service mixed with knowledge of situational awareness. One of the industries based on the IoT is a car industry. Nowadays, a self-driving vehicle which is not only fuel-efficient, smooth for traffic, but also puts top priority on eventual safety for humans became the most important conversation topic. Since several years ago, a research on the recognition of the surrounding environment for self-driving vehicles using sensors, lidar, camera, and radar techniques has been progressed actively. Currently, based on the WAVE (Wireless Access in Vehicular Environment), the research is being boosted by forming networking between vehicles, vehicle and infrastructures. In this paper, a research on the recognition of a traffic signs on highway was processed as a part of the awareness of the surrounding environment for self-driving vehicles. Through the traffic signs which have features of fixed standard and installation location, we provided a learning theory and a corresponding results of experiment about the way that a vehicle is aware of traffic signs and additional informations on it.

Developing Road Hazard Estimation Algorithms Based on Dynamic and Static Data (동적·정적 자료 기반 도로위험도 산정 알고리즘 개발)

  • This study developed four algorithms and their associated indices that can quantify and qualify road hazards along roadways. Initially, relevant raw data can be collected from commercial vehicles by camera and DTG. Well-processed data, such as potholes, road freezing, and fog, can be generated from the Integrated management system. Road hazard algorithms combine these data with road inventory data in the Data Sharing Platform. Depending on well-processed data, four different road hazard algorithms and their associated indices were developed. To test the algorithms, an experimental plan based on passive DTG attached in probe vehicles was performed at two different test locations. Selection of the test routes was based on historical data. Although there were limitations using random data for commercial vehicles, hazardous roadways sections, such as fog, road freezing, and potholes, were generated based on actual historical data. As a result, no algorithm error was found in the entire test. Because this study provides road hazard information according to a section, not a point, it can be practically helpful to road users as well as road agencies.

Diagnosis on Degree of Saturation Model of COSMOS Affected by Geometric and Detection Conditions and Detector Placements (교통조건, 기하구조 조건 및 검지기 설치위치에 따른 실시간신호제어시스템 포화도 산출방식 진단)

  • The Korean real-time traffic responsive control systems, Cycle Offset Split Model of Seoul (COSMOS), employs a single theoretical model to estimate the degree-of-saturation (DS) on approaches. However, the deployment of the system has been accomplished without practical consideration of its field performance. This paper delivers a diagnosis study performed to find the relationships yet known on the DS values against the operational conditions unproved in theory but ordinarily observed in field practice. Based on the analysis of the historical log data (476,505 cycles) obtained from the COSMOS server, it was found; (1) full coverage of lane detections should perform better than the sample coverage of detection in ordinary conditions, (2) the sample coverage of detection perform better than the other case with an exclusive bus lane, (3) detection in which a shared lane is involved provide poor estimation of DS, (4) poor DS estimation when a detection lane is adjacent to a shared lane, and (5) the DS values obtained during a day can hardly be stable all time. The findings suggest traffic engineers a progressive direction to move forward for the next real-time traffic control systems.
