  • Development of computer and internet has permitted cyber education transcending time and space, which escapes traditional classroom. As a result, the study of learner's own leading in Web-based instruction environment can be possible. In order to perform it effectively, suitable helps and advices, called scaffolding, must be offered. In this pater, we select a principle of computer in information technology basic subject of technical high school, and design and implement the web contents that provide the proper scaffolding for learners.

  • In middle and high school to learn the principles of fluid mechanics to Experiments in space and time constraints and difficulties for the study of the principles of fluid mechanics to the problem is superficial. In this paper, Pascal's principles, Archimedes' Principle, Bernoulli's Theorem, etc. learning about the fluid mechanics and implemented in Web Browser, In connection with flash and HTML, web simulation is to implement. Web Based Instruction program that implemented a comparative analysis became an effect of 15% to industrial total high school students in satisfaction, Interest, Achievement. The fluid mechanics education through engineering design and web design through the actual web server is implemented on the Internet over broadband. Department of Education, this study the fluid mechanics and the Internet will contribute to the development of distance education.

  • In the knowledge-based society, the quality of education is the core factor of national development. Above all, for improving educational quality, it is important to advance teacher's quality. Therefore, in order to maintaining high-level quality of education, it is required to select and appoint competent teacher. It deserves emphasis on importance of teacher recruitment test for maintaining high-level quality of education in this changes of age. Specially, Secondary School Teacher Recruitment Test of Electricity Electronics Communication Subject is declined qualitatively as each Subject of Electricity Electronics Communication is integrated and criterion of examination is obscured. This research analyzed The seventh curriculum and curriculum of Institution of Teacher Education of Electricity Electronics Communication Subject and already known examination of it On the basis of analyzing result, A field, proportion and points of examination decided through a expert conference are as follow: first, Teacher Recruitment Test of Electricity Electronics Communication Subject consists of subject pedagogics and contents. a proportion of subject pedagogics is 20% and subject contents is 80%. second, a subfield of subject contents consists of industrial education, industrial curriculum, industrial instruction method, practical guidance method, management of practical field organization, assesment of industrial education, industrial-educational cooperation and vocation and career education. third, subject contents consists of a common special, foundation special and application special field. a common a proportion of special field is 7.4%, foundation special is 20% and application special field which consists of electric field(21.3%), electronic field(21.3%) and communication field(10%) is 52.6%. fourth, Teacher Recruitment Test of Electricity Electronics Communication Subject execute practical technique test after finishing writing test.

A Study on the Refractive Error according to Subjects of Industrial High School Students in Deajeon Metropolitan City (대전광역시 공업고등학교 학생들의 학과별 굴절이상에 관한 연구)

  • The results of having studied the relationships between environmental factors and family history which affected distribution of ametropia according to departments are like these. The subjects of study were 920 persons who were the industrial high school students in Daejeon. First, When we searched ametropia degree and congenital factors, expecially in case of emmetropia, it showed that the students' parents who wore glasses amounted to 22.6% in ratio and the students' brothers and sisters wore glasses in 22.8%. But in case of the students of ametropia, their parents' rate of wearing glasses was 27.7%. The result showed that refractive error status of offsprings was related to their parents' eye condition. Second, We studied emmetropia and ametropia who used computer for over 3 hours in order to see relationships between refractive error and acquired factors. The emmetropias were 45.6%, while the ametropias were 70.1%. The result showed that it appeared 24.5% more in ametropia. In the end, refractive error can be greatly influenced by environmental factors. Third, The result of comparing distribution of ametropia with VDT using time according to each department showed the students of constructional information department had much more ametropia rate. They used computers than any other students in taking lessons and spent much more time than other department's students.

Suggestion of Implications for Korean Textiles and Clothing Apprenticeship Education Through the Analysis of Vocational Education in Korea and Germany (한국과 독일 직업 교육 분석을 통한 한국 섬유·의류 도제교육에 관한 시사점 제안)

  • Apprenticeship education in Korea started approximately in 2005, and is divided into government-led apprenticeship education and Gyeonggi-do-led apprenticeship education. Apprenticeship education for textile and clothing-related majors in Korea is a very different process compared to Germany, where the country, companies, and schools have cooperated with each other with a long tradition, and there are many points to be supplemented. In order to explore the literature on apprenticeship education in Germany and Korea, and to understand the phenomena or actual conditions that have not been shown in the literature, interviews were conducted with two German professors living in South Korea. As a result of the analysis, Germany's long tradition and positive perception of vocational education are the basis for the establishment of apprenticeship education, and it is positioned as a system of education process. Various associations related to apprenticeship education make systematic training manuals, and then distribute certificates to trainees who have completed these courses. Therefore, companies promote the stability of the job market by educating local talents through apprenticeship training to nurture industrial manpower. Currently, in Korea's apprenticeship education, a series of procedures for developing educational courses such as company discovery and job analysis for each company are entirely entrusted to vocational high schools. Therefore, public confidence and solidity in apprenticeship education were found to be insignificant. This study has limitations in that it cannot confirm a phenomenon that has not been shown in the literature review, there is insufficient research on German literature, and the number of samples interviewed is small. However, if, based on the results of this study, an association dedicated to apprenticeship education is created in Korea and a systematic curriculum is developed, it will be able to contribute to establishing the stability of the textile and apparel labor market in the future.

Recognition of teachers and students' for operating BizCool in Industrial High School (공업고 BizCool 운영에 대한 담당 교사와 학생의 인식)

  • The purpose of this study is to research and analyze recognition of teachers and students about operating BizCool in technical high school. These results were obtained by questioning teachers and students of high school which operated BizCool. Above of all, On the Teachers' recognition about BizCool. First, the most effective programs in BizCool are the entrepreneurial club activities, and these activites fostering an entrepreneurial mind as the primary benefits of operating BizCool. Second, to activate BizCool they want to employ staff whose responsibility is to organize BizCool because of the demand and pressure involved, and Bizcool entrepreneurial club should be connected with related enterprises. The development and spread of standard managing models is necessary. Third, Students also have to be able to learn essential knowledge about management, increasing their will to rely on themselves, and getting actual chances to conduct business. Finally, On the Students' recognition about BizCool. First, The contents and level of Bizcool, the availability of BizCool material, the fostering and learning of entrepreneurship are relatively easy and they show much interest in systematic entrepreneurial education. Second, the data show that BizCool is helpful for students to create an entrepreneurial mind and increase confidence about conducting business. Third, about school activities. Entrepreneurial club activities did not help to improve students' grades, to develop good habits or to make friends.

The relationship between a cognitive styles and a technological problem solving among the industrial high school students (공업계 고등학교 학생의 장독립·장의존 인지양식과 기술적 문제해결과의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to contemplate the relationship between a cognitive styles(field-independence/dependence, Fl/D)and a technological problem solving(TPS) among the industrial high school students. When it comes to perception, remembrance and consideration, we all have our own individual and steady patterns. We call them cognitive styles. FI/D is one kind of cognitive styles and it is about how dependently we perceive the field which each object has. Custer(1995) presented the technological problem among problem solving existed in various types as organizing it with four conceptional frames, which are invention, design, trouble shooting and procedures. We tested 56students belong to B industrial high school in A city, Korea. We used Group Embedded Figures Test(GEFT) to experiment the FI/D cognitive styles. We also did the TPS test by using an appliance which a researcher has developed. The appliance was made according to the technological problem and its validity was justified by an expert. We came up with a correlation coefficient between the FI/D cognitive styles and TPS to figure out what kind of relationship those two variable factors have and how much they are correlated each other. The correlation coefficient turned out ".59" which means they have significant and positive correlation.To find out the TPS difference between FI group and FD group, we compared each group's TPS score. As a result of the analysis, the FI group's TPS score is significantly higher than FD group's one.

  • Technical high school aims at educating students to acquire fundamental skill and technology required for being competent technicians, to be creative in adjusting themselves to the changing industrial society, and to do self-realization and find their ways toward the future on their own. To attain that goal and maximize learning effect, mathematics education is very important as prerequisite learning for technical subjects, as most technical courses in technical high school are basically based on mathematics. The purpose of this study was to discuss how mathematics education could be successfully linked to technical courses in an attempt to make it function properly as prerequisite learning for major subjects and facilitate students' technical learning. For that purpose, what problems the mathematics components of major subjects and the curriculum had was examined and the way to offer better education was presented. And there are some suggestions regarding mathematics education: First, technical mathematics should be newly inserted into technical high school curricula to help students learn major subjects in more efficient way. Second, most technical high schools are expected to just require tenth graders to complete a 10-stage mathematics course. In that case, they might find difficulties in learning major subjects when they are in their 11st and 12th grade. The curriculum should be designed to have 11st and 12th graders take mathematics education. Third, many students find a job after graduation, but the growing number of students go on to university to receive more education in the same field. Accordingly, there is a need to enlarge continuous progress plan, rather than completion-type one, to make students well-grounded technically. And mathematics should be taught in more classes as prerequisite subject for major courses. Fourth, mathematics elements necessary for each major subject should be outlined and announced to schools so that they could reorganize mathematics and major courses appropriately.

To do this, we designed learning based on creative problem solving model and integrated thinking model. Students classify I (introvert) type and O (extrovert) type as a primary and T (thinking type) and P (cognitive type) as secondary. As a result of this study, learning motivation factors according to personality type were found. Therefore, in future research, we want to study the change of learning method according to learner personality type.
