본 연구는 미국의 실용주의 철학자인 존 듀이의 공생적 합리주의 모형에 대한 분석과 이 모형의 계획이론의 적용에 대한 사회규범적 논의에 관한 것이다. 다양한 사회과학분야의 문헌고찰과 듀이를 비롯한 실용주의학파들의 연구를 중심으로 이루어진 본 연구는, 최근 논의되고 있는 사회 규범적 차원에서 논의되고 있는 계획이론의 이론적 근거를 존 듀이의 공생적 합리주의에서 찾고자 하였다. 민주주의의 속성상 계획과정에서의 상충과 갈등이 피할수 없는 현실이라면, 이러한 갈등과 상충이 발전적 도구로 존재할 수 있다고 제시한 듀이의 공생주의는 합리성의 가능성에 바탕을 둔 고전적 합리주의 이론을 대체할 수 있는 하나의 이론으로 제시될 수 있을 것이다. 존 듀이의 공생주의 이론에 대한 연구는 기존의 계획이론분야에서는 제시된 적이 없는 최초의 연구로서, 향후 계획이론 분야의 발전에 있어서 이론적 분석의 한 축을 제시했다는데 본 논문의 기여가 있다고 하겠다.

건설산업 참여주체 사이의 고질적 문제들을 해소하고 건설산업의 재도약을 지원하기 위해 지난 1년 동안 운영해 왔던 건설산업 공생발전위원회(이하 공생발전위원회)가 하도급대금 지급보증제도 개선 등 많은 성과를 남기고 지난 10월 19일 제7차 위원회를 끝으로 활동을 마무리했다. 정해돈 대한설비건설협회 회장은 공생발전위원회 위원으로 참여하며 설비건설업계의 애로사항을 역설하고 ${\bigtriangleup}$공공공사 저가하도급심사제도 개선 ${\bigtriangleup}$하도급공사대금의 지급실적 점검 및 부당특약유형 확대 ${\bigtriangleup}$하도급대금지급보증서 보증약관 개선 및 발급감독 강화 ${\bigtriangleup}$주계약자 공동도급 대상범위 확대 ${\bigtriangleup}$산업재해 은폐에 대한 제도개선 등을 건의한 결과 저가하도급심사제도, 하도급대금 지급보증제도 등의 제도가 개선되었다. 특히 저가하도급 심사제도와 하도급대금 지급보증제도 개선 성과는 그동안 건설협회가 강력히 반대했으나 정해돈 회장을 비롯한 제8대 집행부가 똘똘 뭉쳐 일궈낸 성과라 더욱 의의가 크다. 본지는 공생발전위원회의 지난 1년간 활동을 점검해 본다.

The beneficial effects of mycorrhizal fungi on plant growth has largely been attributed to higher uptake of P and other mineral nutrients. However, the effects of mycorrhizal colonization on uptake of mineral nutrients are conflicting in various past investigations. This study was carried out to investigate the effect of P application rate on mycorrhizal colonization and nutrient uptake of Poncirus trifoliata (trifoliate orange) seedlings grown in non-cultivated volcanic ash soil of Cheju island. Five levels of P (40, 573, 1,106, 1,373. $1,640mg\;P\;kg^{-1}$) were applied with double superphosphate. Seedlings inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi were grown for 5 month in a greenhouse. As the level of P application increased, mycorrhizal colonization in the seedlings decreased, and the colonization was significantly reduced when available P was higher than $150mg\;P\;kg^{-1}$ levels. There was a significant correlation between mycorrhizal colonization and P uptake by trifoliate orange seedlings at lower P applications. The effectiveness of mycorrhiaze on P uptake was more significant at lower P applications. Uptake of N, K, Ca, Mg an Zn by trifoliate orange seedlings also increased as mycorrhizal colonization increased, but mycorrhizae could not enhance the uptake of Cu by trifoliate orange seedlings in volcanic ash soil of Cheju island.

The bacterial community structure associated with two marine sponges, Hyrtios sp. 604 and Callyspongia sp. 612 collected from the South Pacific Ocean were analyzed by 16S rDNA-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). The phylogenetic analysis showed that the bacterial community associated with Hyrtios sp. 604 contained diverse bacterial groups such as Chloroflexi, Firmicutes, Cyanobacteria, Alphaproteobacteria, Gammaproteobacteria, Actinobacteria, and Acidobacteria. Callyspongia sp. 612 harbored Chloroflexi, Cyanobacteria, Alphaproteobacteria, and Gammaproteobacteria. Hyrtios sp. 604 belonging to genus Hyrtios known to produce natural products showed greater bacterial diversity than Callyspongia sp. 612. Phylum Actinobacteria was shown to be one of dominant bacterial groups in Hyrtios sp. 604. Although the same phyla of bacteria were found in both sponge species, the spongeassociated predominant bacterial groups differed between the two sponges with different chemical characteristics from the same geographical location. Uncultured bacteria represented over 90% of the bacteria diversity present in all bacterial communities of the sponges.

Mycorrhizae is well known to increase the uptake of P and other mineral nutrients of plants. But if available P levels in soil is too low or high, mycorrhizae formation is limited. This study was carried out to determine the optimum level of available P for mycorrhizae formation of Poncirus trifoliata (trifoliate orange) seedling in volcanic ash soil. Eight levels of P in the range $0-1050mg\;kg^{-1}$ were applied with double superphosphate, and in each P level mycorrhizal fungi inoculated and uninnoculated treatments were included. The seedlings were grown in a greenhouse for 5 months and mycorrhizae formation, growth, and nutrient uptake were measured. As P application level increased, mycorrhizae formation increased at lower range of P application and the highest formation ratio of 43% was found at $100mg\;kg^{-1}$ P level ($2.6mg\;kg^{-1}$ available P in soil). At further higher levels of P application, mycorrhizae formation was rather suppressed. Seedling growth was increased by the inoculation of mycorrhizal fungi, and maximum growth was found at $100mg\;kg^{-1}$ P level where mycorrhizae formation was highest. The growth and mineral nutrient uptake of Poncirus trifoliata seedling represented a significant positive correlation with mycorrhizae formation at all P treatments.

Cytosol protein patterns of two strains of A. proteus, tD and xD strain, were compared by two dimensional gel electrophoresis. Among the 200 major polypeptides that could be stained by silver stain method, tD strain contained a cell specific protein whose molecular weight was 45,000 dalton, pI 5.9. On the other hand, the cytosol and the symbiotic vesicles of xD strain contained a symbiosis specific protein (M.W. 29,000; pI 5.5). The fate of the symbiosis specific protein depended on the presence of symbiotic bacteria in the experiment of high temperature effect and of experimental infection. The significance of these results is discussed in relation to their function in organismic association on the basis of the previous findings.

국토해양부는 지난 6월 17일 정부과천청사에서 제6차 건설산업 공생발전위원회를 개최하고 건설산업기본법을 위반한 건설업체에 대해 보다 명확한 기준으로 재제처분이 이뤄지도록 '건설업체 행정제재 합리화방안'을 제시했다. 또한 공제조합 보증금 개선방안도 제시됐다. 건설업체가 부도 파산 워크아웃 등으로 계약이행이나 하도급대금 지급에 어려움을 겪는 경우 하도급대금지급 보증금을 15일 내 지급 완료토록 개정키로 한 것이다. 이러한 개선은 대한설비건설협회가 건설산업 공생발전위원회를 통해 하도급대금 지급보증제도 개선을 촉구한 결과이다.

Only four copepod species associated with sea stars have beenknown from the north Pacific . The examination of Korean sea stars for copepod associates revealed two species ; Scottomyzson gibberum and a new species belonging to the genus Synstellicola. Both species are (re) described. S. gibberum , A sole member of the genus hitherto known only from the northeastern Atlantic , is recorded in this report to be associated with various sea stars and distributed widely in Korean seas.

국토해양부는 지난해 12월 23일 권도엽 국토해양부장관 주재로 제3차 건설산업공생발전위원회 회의를 개최했다. 건설산업공생발전위원회는 지난해 10월 출범 이후 그동안 3차례의 본 위원회와 11차례의 실무위원회를 개최하여 ${\bigtriangleup}$건설산업 이미지 제고 ${\bigtriangleup}$건설산업 참여주체간 공생발전 정착 ${\bigtriangleup}$건설산업의 경쟁력 제고 및 미래시장 창출 등을 위한 다양한 과제들을 발굴하여 검토해 왔다. 이번 회의에서는 이들 과제 중에서 중요성, 시급성, 파급효과, 이해관계자 간 합의도출 가능성 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 우선적으로 추진이 필요한 과제들을 선정하여 조속히 추진해 나가기로 했다.

One feature of the multicultural policy practiced in Japan is that the central government stresses the importance of local administrations in executing the policy, providing a systematic framework through which local administrations can actively promote and execute multicultural policy intended to foster social tolerance. In other words, the multicultural policy practiced in Japan seeks to overcome some of the limits and issues inherent to such policy by encouraging the delivery of opinions from below that reflect differences among different localities, while the central government proposes the policy aims and recommendations from above down to local administrations. The multicultural policy of Japan, which allows local administrations to administer such networks by actively carrying out the roles of arbitration and integration within communities where multiculturalism is found, presents meaningful points of comparison and learning to the multicultural policy in Korea that has only recently begun to seek for the aims and ways of multicultural policy from the perspective of social integration.
