As a nonstationarity is observed in hydrological data, various studies on nonstationary frequency analysis for hydraulic structure design have been actively conducted. Although the inherent diversity in the atmosphere-ocean system is known to be related to the nonstationary phenomena, a nonstationary frequency analysis is generally performed based on the linear trend. In this study, a nonstationary frequency analysis was performed using climate indices as covariates to consider the climate variability and the long-term trend of the extreme rainfall. For 11 weather stations where the trend was detected, the long-term trend within the annual maximum rainfall data was extracted using the ensemble empirical mode decomposition. Then the correlation between the extracted data and various climate indices was analyzed. As a result, autumn-averaged AMM, autumn-averaged AMO, and summer-averaged NINO4 in the previous year significantly influenced the long-term trend of the annual maximum rainfall data at almost all stations. The selected seasonal climate indices were applied to the generalized extreme value (GEV) model and the best model was selected using the AIC. Using the model diagnosis for the selected model and the nonstationary GEV model with the linear trend, we identified that the selected model could compensate the underestimation of the rainfall quantiles.
Until recently, most people have invested in a traditional portfolio consisting of stocks, bonds and real estates based on the three-division method of properties in Korea. However, this study analyzed the impact of the composition of a portfolio combining representative real estate indirect investment products such as Reits and real estate funds on the investment performance. For this purpose, the empirical analysis using the mean variance model, which is the most appropriate method for the portfolio composition, was used. For variables used in this study, mixed asset portfolios were classified into Portfolio A through Portfolio G depending on the composition of assets, and the price indices selected as Kospi, Krx bond, Reits Trus Y7, Hanwha-Lasal fund, and Office (Seoul). The results are as follows; first Portfolio D, which combined bonds, stocks, Reits and Real Estate funds, and Portfolio G, which added the office, the actual real estate, were shown to have the lowest risk. second, Portfolio B composed of bonds, stocks and Reits and Portfolio D with added real estate funds had the lowest risk while Portfolio F composed of bonds, stocks, offices and real estate funds, and Portfolio G with added Reits were the most profitable. As a result, it has been analyzed that it was more effective to compose a portfolio including Reits and real estate funds, which were real estate indirect investment products that eliminated the illiquidity limitation of real estates than real estates, the traditional three-division method of properties. Therefore, it is possible to minimize the risk of investors and reduce the cost of ownership of the real estate by solving the illiquidity problem that is the biggest disadvantage of the direct investment, In addition, it is considered that it is more necessary to reinvigorate the real estate indirect investment market where small amounts can be invested.
Recently, thank to the popularization of light-weight drone through the significant developments in computer technologies as well as the advanced automated procedures in photogrammetry, Unmanned Aircraft Systems have led to a growing interest in industry as a whole. Documentation, maintenance, and restoration projects of large scaled cultural property would required accurate 3D phenomenon modeling and efficient visual inspection methods. The object of this study verify on the accuracies achieved of 3D phenomenon reconstruction as well as on the validity of the preservation, maintenance and restoration of large scaled cultural property by UAS photogrammetry. The test object is cltural heritage(treasure 1324) that is the rock-carved standing Bodhisattva in Soraesan Mountain, Siheung, documented in Goryeo Period(918-1392). This standing Bodhisattva has of particular interests since it's size is largest stone Buddha carved in a rock wall and is wearing a lotus shaped crown that is decorated with arabesque patterns. The positioning accuracy of UAS photogrammetry were compared with non-target total station survey results on the check points after creating 3D phenomenal models in real world coordinates system from photos, and also the quantified informations documented by Culture Heritage Administration were compared with UAS on the bodhisattva image of thin lines. Especially, tests the validity of UAS photogrammetry as a alternative method of visual inspection methods. In particular, we examined the effectiveness of the two techniques as well as the relative fluctuation of rock surface for about 2 years through superposition analysis of 3D points cloud models produced by both UAS image analysis and ground laser scanning techniques. Comparison studies and experimental results prove the accuracy and efficient of UAS photogrammetry in 3D phenomenon modeling, maintenance and restoration for various large-sized Cultural Heritage.
The purpose of this study is to grasp factors the increasing population growth rate of the region through the regional and housing market characteristics. This paper has used multiple regression as the dependent variable (average of the population growth rate of 85cities during the last five years) and the independent variables analyzed the regional and housing market characteristics on the average. The results of the analysis, The regional and housing market variables that have had a significant impact on the regional population growth rate over the last five years are birth rate, employment rate, production available population growth rate, apartment rate, resale rights rate, and apartment turnover rate and the number of businesses per thousand and has decreased. In other words, The regions where the population increased by region for the last five years were the ones with the transfer of public institutions (innovation cities) and land development among the Seoul metropolitan area and non-Seoul metropolitan area excluding Seoul and metropolitan cities. The results of this study is intentional to suggest Policy point of view for the balanced regional development presented at the government level for other the metropolitan area, such as the small and medium cities that are undergoing population decline.
Purpose: In this study, the location and history information of the cavity identified in the cavity exploration, such as repacking of the pavement, is not known. Therefore, it is to review the field applicability of RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) systems that enable anyone to accurately identify information. Method: Basic experiments were conducted for field applicability for cavity recognition distance, recognition and recognition rate, tag performance and tag type, reader interference, communication, underground burial impact, and duplicate recognition by RFID system. Results: As a result of the depth of tag and reader recognition, the electronic tag chips and readers applied in the basic experiment are judged to be effectively applicable in the field environment where the road cavity is located. Conclusion: The RFID tags for field application of the pavement management system store various information such as location and size of cavity, identification date, cause of occurrence, and surrounding underground facilities to maximize cavity management effect with a system that can be computerized and mobile utilization.

Road infrastructure has increased explosively due to economic development after industrialization and at present road infrastructure is being changed and increased by construction of new roads and maintenance and expansion of existing roads. Such road infrastructure should support safe driving. Road management plays an important role in safe driving. The purpose of this dissertation is to verify predictability of dangerous sections by analyzing road geometrical structure such as surface irregularity and superelevation for some sections in Central Inland Expressway by MMS and present ways of managing roads using MMS. Having analyzed surface irregularity of roads by using MMS, it was found that over 50 percent of all eight sections, targets of this study need betterments and for superelevation, over 50 percent of two sections goes against superelevation standard. Targets of this study are sections that accidents occurred frequently based on history of past accidents and predictability of dangerous sections can be verified through analysis of road geometrical structure using MMS. Using MMS data created by construction of high definition maps which are being undergone for all roads and methods proposed by this study will help investigate dangerous sections efficiently according to road environment. A result of MMS can be used for maintenance of road furniture.

Purpose: This study evaluated the usability of and satisfaction with two types of computer-aided design (CAD) software among users who had experience with dental implant CAD software and those who did not. Materials and Methods: Dental technicians (n = 20) who had previous experience with dental implant CAD Software and students from the College of Dentistry (n = 12) who had never designed implant custom abutments were asked to evaluate two types of CAD Software, Exocad and Deltanine. In addition, the participants were asked to fill out a structured questionnaire (Section 1: Entering basic information and retrieving files; Section 2: Setting conditions before abutment design; Section 3: Setting abutment design; and Section 4: Overall satisfaction). For the statistical analysis of the collected data, Mann-Whitney U test was used (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: The ease of design and satisfaction with the implant CAD Software, evaluated with respect to 21 statements divided into four Stages, were significantly higher for Exocad in both groups for Secion 1. For Sections 2 and 3, participants with experience evaluated Deltanine to be significantly better. For Section 4, both groups evaluated Exocad Software to be better. Conclusion: Overall, the Exocad Software was evaluated as having better usability and offering greater satisfaction. However, in terms of performance in the core of the design process, i.e. Sections 2 and 3, Deltanine was rated higher by the experienced users. Thus, if the user interface design parts are supplemented, Deltanine CAD Software could be put to a wider use in clinics.

Various types of robots running on power transmission lines have been developed for the purpose of line patrol monitoring. They usually have complex mechanism to run and avoid obstacles on the power line, but nevertheless did not show satisfactory performance for going over the obstacles. Moreover, they were so heavy that they could not be easily installed on the lines. To compensate these problems, flying robots have been developed and recently, multi-copter drones with flight stability have been used in the electric power industry. The drones could be remotely controlled by human operators to monitor power distribution lines. In the case of transmission line patrol, however, transmission towers are huge and their spans are very long, and thus, it is very difficult for the pilot to control the patrol drones with the naked eye from a long distance away. This means that the risk of a drone crash onto electric power facilities always resides. In addition, there exists another danger of electromagnetic interference with the drones on autopilot waypoint tracking under ultra-high voltage environments. This paper presents a patrol monitoring plan of autopilot drones for power transmission lines and its field tests. First, the magnetic field effect on an autopilot patrol drone is investigated. Then, how to build the flight path to avoid the magnetic interference is proposed and our autopilot drone system is introduced. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed patrol plan is confirmed through its field test results in the 154 kV, 345 kV and 765 kV transmission lines in Chungcheongnam-do.
Korea follows the slope design criteria during construction. It was enacted by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. There are cases where the Soil-nail is designed as a measure to secure slope stability. The arrangement of the soil-nail may be arranged at equal intervals or may be arranged differently depending on the soil failure model. The optimum design of the countermeasure method is determined by securing stability of the slope through optimization of dimensions and shape. However, when uniform nails are placed at low elevations in slopes, the standard safety factor is exceeded, which may hinder economic design. It is preferable to arrange the reinforcement of the nails over the entire slope. When the horizontal spacing of the nails was topology optimized according to the slope height, it was possible to minimize the amount of reinforcement while satisfying the standard safety factor. Since the active load is reduced in the section where the slope height is lowered, the safety factor after reinforcement may be excessively increased. Therefore, the phase optimization method is proposed as an economical optimal design method using the reinforcing shape density. In addition, a relational expression was designed to optimize the horizontal spacing by slope height.

In order to facilitate the supply of gradually increasing power demand, it is also necessary to increase the number of power cables for power transmission as well as generation facilities. However, the expansion of electric power cables for supplying power to most urban areas requires a space for installation of additional cables, and the space for installing cables in domestic downtown areas is insufficient at present. The superconducting power cable, which can transmit more power with the same size, has emerged as an alternative to overcome the insufficient cable installation space. However, superconducting power cables, which have the advantage of large power transmission, have some losses in the AC (Alternating Current) system. Therefore, the design and analysis of AC losses are essential to introduce superconducting power cables in AC power transmission systems. In this paper, we analyze the AC loss of various superconducting power cables and consider the actual superconducting power cables and their application to the system. Although there is a theoretical calculation method of AC loss for single superconducting wire, it is not easy to calculate AC loss of superconducting power cable with large number. Therefore, the authors intend to analyze various kinds of superconducting power cable AC loss by using electromagnetic finite element analysis considering E-J (Electric field-Current density) characteristics of superconductivity. The analysis of the AC loss characteristics of the superconducting power cable will be an important factor in the design and development of the superconducting power cable to be applied to the actual system.
