A study on the Residents¡?Behavior for the Planning of the Shared Community Space (공동주택단지의 공동생활공간 구성을 위한 거주자 사용행태 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of users'behavior for the planning of the shared community space(SCS). It was analyzed and estimated that the present status of the SCS of the contemporary multi-family housing sites in Korea and the residents'behavior in the SCS. Theoretic investigation and empirical research methods were used in this study. The empirical survey focused on seeking out user-oriented design criteria, based on the analysis of residents'usage behavior for the SCS. The analysis was made by both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of this study are as follows; First, as to the usage status survey for the SCS, there is a difference in the degree of usage according to their locations. Second, as to the analysis of the SCS through a mental map, the sketch map analysis is found to be a useful research method for the SCS planning by actualizing the residents'behavior characteristics. In detail, the main characteristics in the SCS planning are nearness, centrality, intimacy, combination of facilities and the connection with the main paths of the complex.

Study on the Changes in Residents’ Perception of Neighborhood in the Surrounding Area after the Housing Complex Development - Focused on the cases in Gwang-Ju - (공동주거단지 개발에 따른 주변 거주자의 생활권 인식변화특성 연구 - 광주광역시 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to examine how residents' perception of Neighborhood in the surrounding area changes to the spatial configuration changes due to co-residential area development in old urban area, and find out the characteristics of the perception changes. The research findings are as follows: First, the results of the spatial configuration changes analyzed by Space Syntax Model show that the integration value is between 0.5 and 0.7, which implies that the development in the old urban area does not contribute to the establishment of hierarchy. When the development takes place with the renewal of streets with consideration of the urban context, however, the integration improves relatively. Second, the actual distance and accessibility due to the street network appear to influence the residents' perception of Neighborhood. After the development, the residents' scope of perception increases on average. Third, the changes in the integration value of the streets after the development appear to influence the residents' scope of perception of Neighborhood. It turns out that there are frequent changes in the residents' scope of perception in the surrounding area around the streets with large increase in integration value, and the perception scope also moves to the center.

  • 공동주택은 단독주택과는 달리 대지와 건물의 계단, 벽 등을 공동으로 사용하지만 각 세대별로는 독립된 주거생활을 영위할 수 있도록 건축된 소방대상물로서 아파트, 연립주택, 다세대주택 및 기숙사 등이 이에 해당된다. 공동주택은 대부분 단지 내 기계실에서 전 세대에 소화수를 공급하고 있기 때문에 부재중인 세대와 사생활침해 등의 이유로 출입이 자유롭지 못한 세대로 인하여 스프링클러의 점검 작업 시 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다.

The Development of Community Programs in Multihousing -The Evaluation and the Actual Conditions of Community in Multihousing in the City of Blacksburg, Virginia, U.S.A- (공동주택의 생활관리 프로그램 개발 -미국 블랙스버그시의 공동주택 생활관리 실태와 평가를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the community programs of multihousing in Korea through evaluating and analyzing the actual conditions of community in multihousing in U.S.A. This study was conducted by using a field survey and questionaire at the 2 multihousing complexes located in the City of Blacksburg, Virginia, U.S.A. The major findings were as follows: 1) There was a variety of community programs and facilities, such as a monthly newsletter which allowed information to be exchanged among all residents. The programs also provided news on events for the children, teenagers, college students, adults and seniors. These events were held at the club house or pond area. 2) The average degree of satisfaction of these programs and facilities was high. 3) Korea need to follow the example of the U.S.A by i) providing a monthly newsletter periodically to exchange information ii) offering a variety of community programs iii) providing programs regarding district bureau of public administration, kindergarten service, telecommunications office and holding service for package, registered mail, drycleaning, etc.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the direction for a process of change of the Community Space of Apartment Complex in national capital. Before looking at the change of Community Space of Apartment Complex, the study has been made of the chronological change in the policy of the house and the kind of Community Space since the 1960's. The method of this study is analyzing the existing study and the case study that is systematized present situation of each Community Space. The following are found out from this study, the policy of house in Korea has been developed to suitable direction, Community Space of the Apartment has been varied for the living environment in quality.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relation between the dwelling location and the satisfaction level, and suggest a proposal to increase the quality of the livability space. A first of this study began from public surveys conducted to gather the information of satisfaction level from 4 multi-family housing sites in Gwang-ju. The plan was to the characteristics of the LS(livability space). The poll and the observation investigation was run concurrently. The cross analysis and the frequency analysis were used to analyze the data from the questionnaires. The validity of fixed quantitative index was got through the correlation analysis between the result of former analysis and index of livability space. The result said that the dwelling location have relations with the satisfaction level. In the conclusion, this will be a suggestion of the methods to enhance equal-quality of the livability space.
