A Study on Development of the Wet Type Filter for Combustion Air of Diesel Engine (디젤엔진 연소공기 습식여과기의 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the performance of wet type filter for diesel engine combustion air has been studied with effects of air temperature, humidity, and pressure. After experiments are performed without diesel engine, it has been investigated the applicability to diesel engine. Wet type filter for diesel engine combustion air had advantages that it is not necessary to change air filter and that engine exhaust gas is environmentally friendly due to low NOx and particulate emission. Also, the filtration performance has been carried out with smoke shell.

  • 섬유층 여과기(fibrous filter)는 일반적으로 공기여과기(air filter) 라고 불리는 여과기로 fiber의 직경, filter의 두께, 공극률, 하전 여부에 따라 그 용도가 다양하다. 전하를 가진 섬유로 제조한 정전 필터는 장시간 사용시에 일반 섬유층 필터에 비해 작은 압력강하와 높은 집진 효율을 나타내기 때문에 성능과 수명이 증가한다.(중략)

  • 공기 여과 장비에 주로 쓰이는 섬유층 여과기(fibrous filter)는 다양한 장비에 널리 쓰이고 있다. 섬유층 여과기는 이를 구성하는 섬유(fiber)의 직경, 표면 조도, 그리고 이들로 해서 나타나는 공극률, 하전여부, 등 여러 가지 필터의 특성에 따라 다양한 포집양상(Deposition Morphology)을 보인다. 제조 공정에 따라 달라지는 특성을 가진 필터는 여과 과정을 거치면서 입자가 퇴적되고 압력강하가 증가하여 필터의 수명이 다하게 된다. (중략)

  • As the friction between two mated materials generates electrostatic voltage, vehicles especially in the cold climate has been accumulated an electrostatic voltage by the reason of fuel flow in the fuel line, air flows out side of vehicle, etc. In this study, investigations of electrostatic discharge characteristics has been carried out in the fuel systems of gasoline engines depending on the environment temperature. For the experiment, conventional fuel filters(paint coated steel case) and specially made testing equipment are prepared. The experimental results shows, an accumulation speed of electrostatic voltage depends on the environmental temperature and new methods of testing procedures are required compare to SAE standards.

  • 최근 사회는 첨단산업화 속에서 국민생활의 질적 향상과 인구의 도시 집중화 현상에 따라 많은 사람들이 직장 및 작업현장에서 건강에 영향을 미치고 작업능력의 저하를 유발하는 각종 유해물질이 점차 증가하고 있다. 또한 장기간에 걸쳐 호흡기질환을 일으키는 도시의 대기오염은 매우 심각한 사회적문제로서 관심의 대상임에도 불구하고 이에대한 대책이 미흡한 실정이다. 특히 작업장과 실내생활공간은 실내에서 발생되는 오염물질과 외기에서 유입되는 대기오염물질의 영향으로 실내공기의 질은 급속도로 악화되고 있다. 따라서 실내공기질을 쾌적하게 하기 위해서 환기장치의 설치와 지속적인 유지관리는 대단히 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 환기장치설비에서 공기정화장치는 유해 물질을 처리하기 위한 핵심 장치이며 입자상.가스상 물질에 따라 그 종류와 기능이 서로 다르다. 특히 공기정화장치 설비에 보펀적으로 가장 많이 사용되 는 것이 여과기(filter) 이며 사용목적에 알맞는 에어 필터(air filter)의 선정은 전체환기시스템에 막대한 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서 본 고에서는 산업환기시스템에 사용되고 있는 대표적인 에어필터의 종류와 각각의 특성 및 환기장치 설계상의 에어필터에 관한 이론과 적용기술 등을 설명하고자 한다.

A Study on Performance Degradation Analysis of Gas Turbine Combined Heat and Power Plant (가스터빈 열병합발전소 성능저하 분석에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the degree of performance changes between the guaranteed performance and the performance after a certain operating start time is calculated by using the performance test of gas turbine CHP. The reason of the performance degradation will then be analysed. For some results of the CHP plant performance tests the comprehensive electric power output was 8,380 kW lower than the guaranteed performance, and the gas turbine's output was reduced to about 250 kW whenever ambient temperatures rose to $1^{\circ}C$. Also, causes of the performance degradation of gas turbines are ambient temperature rise, temperature aging and air compressor's efficiency drop.

  • The air filter in engine intake system filters the dirt in the breathing air but also it attenuates the noise although the phenomenon has been regarded negligible. For the analysis of the acoustical performance of air filter, an acoustical model is suggested in this paper. The air filter consists of a porous filter element, which catches the particulate dirt, and a plastic filter box, which supports the filter element. Fibrous structure of the filter element is modeled as a micro-perforated panel using the flow resistivity and porosity. The pleated geometry of the filter element is modeled as two coupled ducts and a mathematical model is developed for the analysis of sound propagation. The filter box Is modeled as a rigid rectangular box. By combining two models, a 4-pole transfer matrix for the air filter is derived. The transmission loss calculated using the transfer matrix of the suggested model is compared with the measured data. Reasonably good agreement is observed. The result can be improved by considering the visco-thermal effect in modeling, in particular at a frequency range near the troughs of TL curve.

  • The air filter in engine intake system has a function of filtrating the dirt in the scavenging air as well as attenuating the noise. The noise attenuation within the air cleaner filter, however, has been regarded as negligible by the field engineers. In this paper, for the analysis of the acoustical performance of air filter, an acoustical model was suggested and the characteristics of air filter system were investigated. Fibrous structure of the filter element was modeled as a micro-perforated panel using the flow resistivity and porosity. The pleated geometry of the filter element was modeled as two coupled ducts that have permeable walls, in which each duct area was assumed being constant. Using such simplified geometry, a mathematical model was developed for the sound propagation within a narrow duct system. Visco-thermal effect was considered in modeling the sound propagation through such tubes; the filter box was modeled as a rigid rectangular box. By combining two models, a four-pole transfer matrix was derived. For the validation purpose, transmission loss was measured for a plastic rectangular box containing an air filter. A noticeable effect of the air filter element was observed by including the filter into the box. Comparing the predicted and measured data, we found that the predicted TL agrees well with experimental results, in particular, in magnitude and frequency at TL troughs.
