Recycling Water Treatment of Aquaculture by Using Three Phase Fluidized Bed Reactor (삼상유동층 반응기를 이용한 양어장 순환수 처리에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of the present study were to evaluate nitrification characteristics and determine optimum treatment conditions of three phase fluidized bed reactor for recycling water treatment of aquaculture. When the loading rates were 2.739-0.086kg $COD/m^3/day$ and 1.575-0.128kg $NH_4\;^+-N/m^3/day$, COD and ammonia removal efficiencies were $56.3-94.7\%\;and\; 67.3­92.6\%$, respectively. The maximum removal rates of COD and ammonia were 1200mg/l/day and 488mg/l/day, respectively. Ammonia removal rates were more than $90\%$ beyond 1hr HRT. The ammoniaremoval efficiency was sensitive to the variation of media concentration and air flowrate.

  • As the demand for healthy food increases, an automated system capable of precisely controlling the growth environment is essential for stable crop production. This study proposes an automated system for monitoring and controlling plant factories. It manages the growth environment using Arduino and various sensors, utilizing an efficient air circulation method to maintain stable internal temperatures. The experiment showed that the proposed system maintained a temperature deviation of ±1℃, a pH of 6.0, and an electrical conductivity of 1.6 dS/m, meeting standard performance. Additionally, leaf growth was found to be superior compared to crops grown in open-field conditions. The proposed system is expected to help reduce labor costs and improve the efficiency of cultivating high-quality crops.

  • 본 논문은 Comprex압력파 과급기(Pressure-wave Supercharger;이하 PWS)의 공기 역학적인 원 리에 대해 기술하였으며, 또 기체 동력학적인 현상들이 별도의 제어장치없이도 우수한 운전성과 낮은 연료소모율, 적은 배기 배출물을 형성하는 차량들에 대해 기계적으로는 간단하면서도 완벽 한 boosting장치를 만들어 내는데 어떻게 사용될 수 있는지를 설명하였다. 근본적인 목적은 종 래의 turbo charger와 동일이지만 Comprex PWS는 현재 응용되고 있는 승용차가 요구하는 여러 가지면, 즉 1) 부하변동에 대한 충진공기압의 빠른 응답성 2) 엔진속도 전영역에 걸친 높은 boost 효과 3) 배기배출물특성을 좋게할 수 있는 배기가스 재순환(EGR)효과 등에서 종래의 것과 구별된다. 따라서 PWS의 중요한 특징들을 기술하였으며 마지막으로 최근 자동차용 Diesel Engine에의 몇 가지 예를 보았다.

The Effects of the Refrigerant Charge on the Performance of an Air Conditioner with Capillary Tube Expansions (냉매충전량이 모세관 팽창장치를 가진 공기조화기의 성능에 미치는 영향)

  • A popular type of residential air conditioner is the split system which has two separate units: indoor and outdoor units During field installation of the split system, the potential exists for not setting the charge exactly to the manufacturer´s specifications. The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of the refrigerant charge on the performance of the air conditioner. An air conditioner with capillary tube expansions was tested for various refrigerant charges. The results indicated that the more charge resulted in the more flowrate of the refrigerant. The flowrate of the refrigerant was one of the most important factors to understand the e(sects of the charge on the performance of the air conditioner with capillary tube expansions. Under-charge results in wide region of superheated vapor of the refrigerant in the evaporator, while over-charge results in high temperature of the liquid refrigerant in the evaporator.

  • 본 연구에서는 고구마 조직배양묘의 $CO_2$ 교환량을 측정하기위해 개방형 광합성측정장치의 원리를 이용해 자체제작한 $CO_2$ 교환량 측정장치를 이용하여 공기 주입구와 배출구의 $CO_2$ 농도를 연속측정하고, 명기와 암기에 있어서의 $CO_2$ 교환량의 일변화를 분석했다. 내용적 1.48$\ell$의 배양기에 32개의 식물체를 이식했을 때 식물체당 일일 $CO_2$ 교환량은 19일째에 포화에 달했다. 식물체 생장에 있어서는 자연환기구보다 강제환기구의 생장이 촉진되었고, 강제환기구에서는 $CO_2$ 시용구가 무시용구보다 생장이 촉진되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 고구마 조직배양묘를 강제환기와 $CO_2$ 시용등 배양환경의 개선함으로써 순환과정을 거치지 않고 포장정식이 가능한 배양묘나 삽수의 생산이 가능함을 시사한다고 사료된다.

Oxygen Transfer System in Biological Fluidised Bed Using the Deep Shaft as Aeration Device (생물학적(生物學的) 유동층(流動層)을 이용(利用)한 폐수처리(廢水處理)에 있어서의 심층(深層) 폭기장치(曝氣裝置)에 의한 산소전달(酸素傳達) 시스템)

  • This paper is concentrated on the development of oxygen transfer system by U-tube deep shaft in biological fluidised bed process. The depth of the shaft is 32 m, it is composed of downcomer and riser. Not only flow pattern and oxygen transfer in the deep shaft but also oxygen limitation in biofilm and oxygen utilization in biological fluidised bed are investigated. In this investigation, driving force for liquid circulation in the deep shaft is affected by air injection depth and gas hold-up in downcomer. Flow pattern of the deep shaft is revealed to plug flow. When flow velocity in the deep shaft is maintained to 0.52 m/sec, $K_La$ value is peak at 25~30 m depth in riser. The efficiency of dissolved oxygen supply which passed from the deep shaft to biological fluidised bed is estimated to 56~81 % in the organic wastewater treatment using the deep shaft and when dissolved oxygen concentration is 9.2 mg/l and over, limiting factors of flux and substrate within biofilm are organic materials. Terefore, organic loadings could be increase without decreasing of BOD removal efficiency.

  • Ionic wind is produced by a corona discharge when a DC high voltage is applied across the point-to-plane gap geometry. The corona discharge phenomena have been investigated in several beneficial application fields such as electrostatic cooling, ozone generation, electrostatic precipitation and electrostatic spraying. Recently ionic wind might be used in aerodynamic, for example, heat transfer, airflow modification, and etc. In this work, in order to analyze the control behavior of the velocity and amount of ionic wind produced by the positive DC corona discharges. The ionic wind velocity was measured as a function of the applied voltage, diameter of the punched hole on plate electrode and separation between the point-to-plate electrodes. As a results, the airflow is generated from the tip of needle to the plate electrode in the needle-to-punched-plate electrode systems. The ionic wind velocity is linearly increased with an increase in applied voltage and ranges from 1 to 3 m/sec at the locations of 100-200 mm from the punched-plate.

  • The flame stabilization is one of the topics which have to be solved for the airbreathing propulsion systems, using the entering air which is supersonic velocity as an oxygen sources. Making a recirculation zone with an eddy flow, installed the reducing velocity devices such as the bluff body, is the typical method of the flame stabilization. Recently using a cavity flame stabilization at the wall is an emerging technique as an effective method which extends the stabilization zone, and the related research papers have been published on the flow separation and reattachment, pressures and oscillations including length/depth ratios in the cavities. Even though, still there are lots of topics to study more in the cavity flame stabilization field as the preceding techniques, as well as the research and the development of the airbreathing propulsion system itself.

  • 전기유압식 좌심실 보조장치에서 모터 전류 파형을 정보로 하여 작동기의 이완기 속도를 조절함으로써 좌심방으로부터 유입되는 혈류량을 조절하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 전기 유압식 좌심실 보조장치에서는 혈액의 유입이 능동적으로 이루어지므로, 좌심방 함몰로 인한 심근 손상 및 외부 공기 유입으로 인한 색전증을 방지하기 위해 유입혈류량을 현재 좌심방 내의 상태에 따라 적절히 조절해 주어야 한다. 좌심방 내의 혈액량 정도는 혈액을 유입해내는 작동기의 이완기 동작 시에 소모되는 에너지 크기에 반영되고, 작동기를 구동하는 모터에 들어가는 전류의 크기는 작동기에 공급되는 에너지에 비례하므로, 이 전류 파형의 정보들을 통해 좌심방 내의 상태를 추정해 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 퍼지로직을 적용하여 모터 전류 파형의 이상 유무를 판단한 뒤 이에 따라 작동기의 이완기 속도를 조절하는 알고리즘을 개발하여 모의순환장치 실험을 통해 그 실효성을 검증한 결과를 정리하였다.

Effect of Air Circulation Velocity on the Rate of Lumber Drying in a Small Compartment Wood Drying Kiln (소형 목재인공건조실에 있어서 공기순환속도가 목재건조율에 미치는 영향)

This study indicates that above the fiber saturation point the drying rate can be increased with increasing the velocity of the air circutation, i.e., the drying rate of sample boards is proportional to the air velocity, but below the fiber saturation point, the effect of the velocity of air circulation is very low as shown in Figs. 1 and 2. 2. Under the controlled temperature and humidity in the kiln, the more the sample boards have moisture, the higher drying rate of it can be obtained. In other words, this means that even though in the case of drying various moisture content of wood, at the final drying stage, approximately the same percentage of moisture content of wood can be secured by employing the higher velocity of air circulation. 3. This study shows that the rate of drying in kiln changes distinctly at the fiber saturation point, i, e., above the fiber saturation point, the drying curve shows concave aginst the X axsis, but below the fiber saturation point, in the range from 30 percent of moisture content to 20 percent of moisture content, the curve shows convex as shown in Fig. 3. As the drying progresses, however, the drying curve shows concave again below 20 percent of moisture content. This means that inflection point of drying curve may be located clearly at the fiber saturation point, i.e., 30 percent of moisture content. As mentioned above, the 30 percent of moisture content of wood at which the inflectional point appears can be recognized as a critical point, i. e., the fiber saturation point at which all free water was removed from wood. The existence of inflectional point indicates that the evaporation of hygroscopic water in a cell wall is more difficult than the evaporation of free water in a cell cavity and the minor space of cell wall. The convex curve in the range of moisture content from 30 percent to 20 percent means that the evaporation of capillary condensed water has a tendency of the same rates of drying approximately, but as approaching to the 20 percent of moisture, the transfusion of moisture from wood becomes difficult because of having less moisture in cell wall. Below 20 percent of moisture content, the drying curve shows concave again, which means that it is difficult to remove the moisture located nearer to the surface of cellulose molecules and the surface bound water. These relations were revealed in Fig. 4. In comparison AC curve which does not have the two inflection points with BD curve which has two inflection points, i.e., Band D, they are mentioned already, by existence of the inflection points, the curve BD shows that the change of drying rate in the interval from 20 percent of moisture content to 30 percent of moisture content is not greater than in the case of the curve AC in the same interval. At the inflection point of 30 percent of moisture content, it can be noticed that the changing of the drying rate is very conspicuous. This phenomenon also can be recognized, as it is noticed by the Fig. 3, the drying rate from green to 30 percent of moisture content is very great. But the inclination of the curve is very slow from 30 percent of moisture content to 20 percent of moisture content, i.e., the inclination of the curve becomes almost horizontal lines.
