  • In the field of information security, IDS(Intrusion Detection System) is normally classified in two different categories: signature-based IDS and anomaly-based IDS. Many studies in anomaly-based IDS have been conducted that analyze network traffic data generated in cyberspace by machine learning algorithms. In this paper, we studied pre-processing methods to overcome performance degradation problems cashed by rare classes. We experimented classification performance of a Machine Learning algorithm by reconstructing data set based on rare classes and semi rare classes. After reconstructing data into three different sets, wrapper and filter feature selection methods are applied continuously. Each data set is regularized by a quantile scaler. Depp neural network model is used for learning and validation. The evaluation results are compared by true positive values and false negative values. We acquired improved classification performances on all of three data sets.

  • Web service is defined to support interoperable machine to machine interaction over a network and defined as distributed technologies. Recently in web service environment, security has become one of the most critical issues. An attacker may expose user privacy and service information without authentication. Furthermore, the users of web services must temporarily delegate some or all of their behalf. This results in the exposure of user privacy information by agents. We propose a delegation model for providing safety of web service and user privacy in ubiquitous computing environments. In order to provide safety of web service and user privacy, XML-based encryption and a digital signature mechanism need to be efficiently integrated. In this paper, we propose web service management server based on XACML, in order to manage services and policies of web service providers. For this purpose, we extend SAML to declare delegation assertions transferred to web service providers by delegation among agents.

  • This paper proposes the detection method of spreading mails which hacker injects malicious codes to steal the information. And I developed the 'Analysis model' which is decoding traffics when hacker's encoding them to steal the information. I researched 'Methodology of intrusion detection techniques' in the computer network monitoring. As a result of this simulation, I developed more efficient rules to detect the PCs which are infected malicious codes in the hacking mail. By proposing this security policy which can be applicable in the computer network environment including every government or company, I want to be helpful to minimize the damage by hacking mail with malicious codes.

  • To provide the privacy of transmitted message over network the use of cryptographic system is increasing gradually. Because the security and reliability of the cryptographic system is totally rely on the key, the key management is the most important part of the cryptographic system. Although there are a lot of security products providing encryption, the security of the key exchange protocols used in the product are not mostly proved yet. Therefore, we have to study properties and operation of key agreement protocols based on elliptic curve in ANSI X9.63. furthermore, we analyze the security of their protocols under passive and active attacker models and propose the most suitable application field taking the feature of the protocols into account.

  • Dynamic threshold public-key encryption provides dynamic setting of the group of all users, receivers and the threshold value. Over recent years, there are many studies on the construction of scheme, called ID-based dynamic threshold encryption, which combines the ID-based encryption with dynamic threshold encryption. In this paper, we analyze the ID-based dynamic threshold encryption proposed by Xing and Xu in 2011, and show that their scheme has a structural problem. We propose a conversion method from ID-based encryption which uses the bilinear map to ID-based dynamic threshold encryption. Additionally, we prove this converted scheme has CPA security under the full model.

  • In this study, the lift, drag and moments of the rudder that influences on the maneuvering ships directly has been investigated using CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics). One of typical ship rudders effecting on the forces and moments is the bow rudders during maneuvering on the sea. Thus, the forces and moments should be investigated for the bow of ship rudder. Among the IFS bow rudder series, the balance IFS 54 BR 15 is used for study. As a turbulent model, standard k-epsilon is applied to this study. The hydrodynamic of the bow rudder, especially lift, drag and moment coefficients are calculated for the different angles of attack. The angles of attack between water flow and rudder are presented in cases including 0°, 5°, 10°, 15°, 20°, 25°, 30° and 35°. The results of calculation for those influences on maneuvering performance of ships are compared with the relevant results of the previous experimental studies.

  • Along with the increase prevalence of computers, the number of malware distributions by attackers to ordinary users has also increased. Research to detect malware continues to this day, and in recent years, research on malware detection and analysis using AI is focused. However, the AI algorithm has a disadvantage that it cannot explain why it detects and classifies malware. XAI techniques have emerged to overcome these limitations of AI and make it practical. With XAI, it is possible to provide a basis for judgment on the final outcome of the AI. In this paper, we conducted malware group classification using XGBoost and Random Forest, and interpreted the results through SHAP. Both classification models showed a high classification accuracy of about 99%, and when comparing the top 20 API features derived through XAI with the main APIs of malware, it was possible to interpret and understand more than a certain level. In the future, based on this, a direct AI reliability improvement study will be conducted.

  • For more efficient energy management of nodes in wireless sensor networks, research has been conducted on mobile sink nodes that deliver data from sensor nodes to server recently. UAV (Unmanned Aerial vehicle) is used as a representative mobile sink node. Also, most studies on UAV propose algorithms for calculating optimal paths and have produced rapid advances in the IoD (Internet of Drones) environment. At the same time, some papers proposed mutual authentication and secure key exchange considering nature of the IoD, which requires efficient creation of multiple nodes and session keys in security perspective. However, most papers that proposed secure communication in mobile sink nodes did not protect end-to-end data privacy. Therefore, in this paper, we propose integrated security model that authentication between mobile sink nodes and sensor nodes to securely relay sensor data to base stations. Also, we show informal security analysis that our scheme is secure from various known attacks. Finally, we compare communication overhead with other key exchange schemes previously proposed.

  • With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the paradigm of finance is also changing. As remote work becomes more active due to cloud computing and coronavirus, the work environment changes and attack techniques are becoming intelligent and advanced, companies should accept new security models to further strengthen their current security systems. Zero trust security increases security by monitoring all networks and allowing strict authentication and minimal access rights for access requesters with the core concept of doubting and not trusting everything. In addition, the use of NAC and EDR for identification subjects and data to strengthen access control of the zero trust-based security system, and strict identity authentication through MFA will be explained. Therefore, this paper introduces a zero-trust security solution that strengthens existing security systems and presents the direction and validity to be introduced in the financial sector.

  • In the current business environment where dependence on IT has increased rapidly, the risk from disasters or cyber-attacks is also increasing. Business continuity, the ability to continue to provide service in the event of a business disruption caused by a disaster, is essential. In other words, you need to have a plan in place to keep your core business functions uninterrupted with rapid recovery within a predetermined Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) time frame. In this paper, we propose a disaster recovery system construction method that can minimize RTO and RPO to ensure business continuity. The system configuration adopts Tier 7 disaster recovery model, synchronous storage replication, hot disaster recovery site, and operation management automation solution. This ensures continuity of core business with virtually no data loss and minimal RTO and RPO.
