A Position Revision Method by Path-Loss Factor in GIS based Wireless Sensor Node Deployments (GIS기반 무선 센서노드 배치에서 경로손실을 고려한 위치 보정 방법)

  • In this paper, we proposes a sensor node positioning algorithm that utilizes the geo-spatial elements and considers the factors to represent the propagation loss generated by the various obstacles in the urban wireless environments. First, we measures the propagation loss about the radio frequencies in major road of the urban, and defines the correlation between the measured loss and the environment information for the road and its surrounding get from Urban GIS. Secondly, through the utilization of the loss-environment correlation, we describes the detailed instruction for requiring the radio coverage decision and deploy system implementation for the wireless sensor node in urban. By the consideration of interference factor by the building and the linear structure of road, we can evaluate the path loss below 5dB RMS error. And, we proposes the way to revise the sensor node deployment based on the corelation and the measured path loss.

  • As single-person households increase, demands for self interior design has been also increasing. The furniture arrangement takes big part of interior design. But sometimes people need professional helps for the proper and effective arrangement of furniture which makes self-interior design harder. Often, people share information and advices about interior design through Social Network Service. Experts could help directly but this approach would have several issues: First, the detailed and accurate advice would be difficult because experts have to examine the space through 2D pictures or video. Second, they have to make an appointment which would cause inconvenience to both customer and expert. In this paper, the furniture arrangement application for real-time sharing of interior design based on virtual reality is proposed to make up for the weak points. People can precisely share information and advice about self-interior design through this application in realtime, reducing waste of time and energy.

  • The planning and design of healthcare architecture generally requires the participation and consultation of skilled experts since it has more complex space program than any other buildings. Therefore, the computer-based expert systems for the planning of healthcare architecture have been tried continuously. The recent development of BIM technologies and object-oriented CAAD systems is leading these attempts to realize gradually. Thus, this study attempts to verify whether the new evaluation model and system of the spatial layout, which are based on the validation of space program that developed in earlier studies, are applicable to real examples of design competition. Through this simulation, this study tries to find the possibility of expert systems for the planning of healthcare architecture and act as basic data for the development of new system for the integrated design environment based on BIM technologies in the near future.

  • 2002년의 태풍 루사와 2003년의 태풍 매미 이후 수공구조물의 설계기준에 대한 관심이 커지고 있는 가운데, 댐 설계기준인 가능최대강수량 및 가능최대홍수량 산정의 일관성에 대한 문제가 제기된 바 있다. 그러나 이러한 문제들은 우리나라의 전반적인 기후, 강수형태, 지형 등을 종합적으로 고려하고, 장기간에 걸쳐 진행되어야 할 연구로 단기간 내의 분석을 통한 해결책 제시는 어렵다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 가능최대강수량의 공간분포 시 등우선 배치에 따른 가능최대강수량의 면적별 감소율을 분석하여 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 우리나라의 대표 유역인 한강 유역, 낙동강 유역, 금강 유역의 수자원단위유역을 기준으로 유역면적과 배치된 등우선 면적간의 차에 대한 가능최대강수량의 감소율을 분석하였다. 이때 대상유역별 가능최대강수량은 국토해양부에서 제공하는 가능최대강수량도에서 값을 읽었고, 가능최대강수량의 포락방법에 따라 기존 방법 및 Horton 경험식과 spline식을 이용하는 경우로 구분하여 공간분포 방법을 적용하였다. 그 결과 기존에 사용하고 있는 포락방법을 적용하여 가능최대강수량을 산정한 경우에는 한강, 낙동강, 금강 유역의 지속기간별 면적차에 대한 감소율을 회귀식의 형태로 도출할 수 있었으나, Horton 경험식과 spline 방법을 이용하여 포락을 수행한 경우에는 PMP의 감소량 및 감소율은 지속기간, 면적차 또는 면적차비율에 대해 뚜렷한 경향성을 나타내지는 못하는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • Since the method of generating 3D Spatial Information using aerial photographs was introduced, lots of researches on effective generation methods and applications have been performed. Nadir and oblique imagery are acquired in a same time by Pictometry system, and then 3D positioning is processed as Multi-Looking Camera procedure. In this procedure, the number of GCPs is the main factor which can affect the accuracy of true-orthoimage. In this study, 3D positioning accuracies of true-orthoimages which had been generated using various number of GCPs were estimated. Also, the standard of GCP number and distribution were proposed.

A Study on Space Arrangement and Interior Space Division of Superyachts (수퍼요트의 공간배치와 실내공간구획에 관한 연구)

  • Superyachts are passenger vessels whose hull exceeds 24m. They are a kind of luxurious leisure ships. Interior designers can contribute in the field of space design of superyachts. This study is intended to investigate the space elements and their organization of superyachts for putting the base of superyachts interior design. Especially it is focused on the interior space division by structural elements such as the watertight bulkheads and decks. In this study we analyze general arrangements, floor plans of decks, of 31 superyachts and extract space elements and their disposition in three dimension. On the basis of the space arrangement we classify the types of space organization of superyachts. And then we inquire the interior space division of superyachts, which is characterized by the structural elements of the ship. The watertight compartments made by the bulkheads and decks have a great effect on interior space design in super yachts. The results of this study are summed up as follows: At first, the small-size superyacht has 3 decks and the midium or large-size superyachts has 4decks. Secondly, depending on the number of decks the superyachts has several typical patterns of space organization. Thirdly, in general there are 5-6 watertight compartments on a deck depending on the superyachts scale. Finally, there are distinct separation between the passenger's movement and the crew's movement on the ship.

  • 무선 매쉬 네트워크에서의 액세스 포인트의 배치는 예상 가입자의 위치와 서비스 공급자의 위치, 액세스 포인트의 수를 모두 고려해야 하는 NP-complete 문제이나, 효율과 비용의 측면에서 간과할 수 없는 매우 중요한 문제이다. 본 연구에서는 대규모 매쉬 네트워크의 효율적인 배치를 위해, 유전 알고리즘을 사용하여 최소한의 액세스 포인트를 사용하여 최대한의 가입자를 수용할 수 있는 무선 메쉬 네트워크의 배치 방안을 모색한다. 구현을 통한 성능평가 결과와 수치적 분석은 본 문제 공간에서의 유전 알고리즘의 효용성을 입증한다.

  • 재택근무와 소규모 창업 등 사무 환경의 변화 에 따라 프린터와 복합기의 소형화가 요구 되고 있다. 이러한 소형화에 의해 프린터 내부의 발열 요소들이 제한 된 공간에 배치되어, 기기 내부의 열 유동 및 발열 개선은 제품의 수명과 안정성 확보를 위한 중요 사항이 되었다. 본 논문에서는 프린터와 복합기의 내부 요소 중 주요 발열원인 전원 공급 장치에 대하여 Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software 인 ICEPAK을 이용하여 중요 부품의 배치 조건에 따른 대류 와 온도 특성을 확인 하고, 최적화 된 부품 배치 방법을 제안한다. 또한 제안하는 부품 배치 방법을 적용한 초박형 프린터용 50W 급 전원 공급 장치를 제작하여 실제 온도 특성이 개선됨을 확인한다.

  • Placement is an important step in the physical design of VLSI circuits. It is the problem of placing a set of circuit modules on a chip to optimize the circuit performance. The most popular algorithms for placement include the cluster growth, simulated annealing and integer linear programming. In this paper we propose a stochastic evolution algorithm searching solution space for the placement problem, and then compare it with simulated annealing by analyzing the results of each implementation.
