A Study on the Signal Processing Techiques for Pattern Classification of Electrical Loads (전기부하 패턴분류를 위한 신호처리 기법에 관한 연구)

  • Recently several techniques for disaster prevention based on IoT(Internet of Things) are being developed. In this paper, a new smart pattern classification method for electric loads is proposed. CT(Current Transformer) data are extracted from electric loads, and then the sampled CT data are converted using FFT and MFCC. FFT and FMCC data are used for the input data of neural networks. Experiments were conducted using FFT and MFCC data for 7 kinds of electric loads. Experiments results indicate the superiority of MFCC in comparison to FFT.

  • 아크 고장검출차단기(Air Fault Circuit Interrupter)는 전기배선에 있어서 노화, 절연파괴등 아크를 검출하여 전기화재를 미연에 방지해준다. 반면 여러가지 아크성 신호가 혼재되어 있어 유사 아크로 인해 유해 아크만을 검출하지 못하여 오동작하게 된다. 따라서 아크전류를 검출하기 위해서는 아크전류와 혼동되는 많은 신호들을 분석할 필요가 있으며, 이러한 전기 기구에서 발생하는 노이즈와 전기 도선에서 발생한 아크 전류를 분류하여 전기 도선에서 발생하는 유해 아크 전류만을 검출하여 차단하도록 설계하였다.

  • In this paper, we proposed selective extraction method of frequency information and PCA-ELM based diagnosis system for three-phase induction motors. As the first step for diagnosis procedure, DFT is performed to transform the acquired current signal into frequency domain. And then, frequency components are selected according to discriminate order calculated by variance As the next step, feature extraction is performed by principal component analysis (PCA). Finally, we used the classifier based on Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) with fast learning procedure. To show the effectiveness, the proposed diagnostic system has been intensively tested with the various data acquired under different electrical and mechanical faults with varying load.

  • This paper proposed a design of intelligent supervisory control systems for maintenance of highway traffic information equiprrent and processing algorithm of equiprrent fault data. The fault data of highway traffic equipment are transmitted from rerrnte supervisory controller to central supervisory system by real time, the transmitted fault data are anaIyzed the characteristic using evaluation algorithm of fault data in central supervisory system. The evaluation algorithm includes a neural network and fault knowlOOge-base for processing the multi-generated fault data. For validating the evaluation algorithm of intelligent supervisory control systems, the rrethod of analysis used to the five pattern of binary signal by transmitted real time and the opTclting user-interface constructed in central supervisory system.

An Effective Feature Extraction Method for Fault Diagnosis of Induction Motors (유도전동기의 고장 진단을 위한 효과적인 특징 추출 방법)

  • This paper proposes an effective technique that is used to automatically extract feature vectors from vibration signals for fault classification systems. Conventional mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCCs) are sensitive to noise of vibration signals, degrading classification accuracy. To solve this problem, this paper proposes spectral envelope cepstral coefficients (SECC) analysis, where a 4-step filter bank based on spectral envelopes of vibration signals is used: (1) a linear predictive coding (LPC) algorithm is used to specify spectral envelopes of all faulty vibration signals, (2) all envelopes are averaged to get general spectral shape, (3) a gradient descent method is used to find extremes of the average envelope and its frequencies, (4) a non-overlapped filter is used to have centers calculated from distances between valley frequencies of the envelope. This 4-step filter bank is then used in cepstral coefficients computation to extract feature vectors. Finally, a multi-layer support vector machine (MLSVM) with various sigma values uses these special parameters to identify faulty types of induction motors. Experimental results indicate that the proposed extraction method outperforms other feature extraction algorithms, yielding more than about 99.65% of classification accuracy.

  • In this paper, a new type of integrated AFCI is designed and implemented by combining individual circuit breaker characteristics, which can effectively detect arc fault signals in real-time. The proposed integrated AFCI satisfies the UL1699, the USA certification standard, and the Korean circuit breaker standards such as KS C4613 and KS C8321. Data signals are transferred to the management server via ZigBee network to analyze dangerous factors and to prevent unwanted trip. It is also shown by experiments that arc fault signals are detected and analyzed by using the integrated AFCI with ZigBee networks.

  • In this paper, we propose neural network-based fault diagnosis method to diagnose of sensor in the gas monitoring system. In the proposed method, using thermal modulation of operating temperature of sensor, the signal patterns are extracted from the voltage of load resistance. Also, ART2 neural network is used for fault isolation. The performance and effectiveness of the proposed ART2 neural network based fault diagnosis method are shown by simulation results using real data obtained from the gas monitoring system.

  • 베어링은 각종 설비에서 활용하는 중요한 기계요소 중 하나이다. 설비고장의 상당수는 베어링의 결함이나 파손에 기인하고 있다. 따라서 베어링에 대한 온라인모니터링기술은 설비의 정지를 예방하고 손실을 줄이는 데 필수적이다. 본 논문은 진동신호를 이용하여 베어링의 상태를 예측하기 위한 온라인모니터링에 대해 연구한다. 프로파일로 주어지는 진동신호는 이산웨이블릿변환을 통해 분석되고, 분해수준별 웨이블릿계수로부터 얻은 통계적 특징 중 유의한 것을 선별하고자 분산분석 (ANOVA)을 이용한다. 선별된 특징벡터는 Support Vector Machine (SVM)의 입력이 되는 데, 본 논문에서는 다중클래스 분류문제를 다루기 위한 계층적 SVM 네트워크를 제안한다.

  • In this paper we proposed a model of a fault diagnosis expert system with high reliability to compare identical well-functioning motors. The purpose of the survey was to determine if any differences exit among these identical motors and to identify exactly what these differences were, if in fact they were found. Using measured data for many identical brushless dc motors, this study attempted to find out whether normal and fault can be classified by each other. Measured data was analyzed using the State Transition Model (STM). Based on a proposed STM method, the effect of a different normal state is minimized and the detection of fault is improved in identical motor system. Experimental results are presented to prove that STM method could be a useful tool for diagnosing the condition of identical BLDE motors.

  • 본 연구는 유도전동기 진단시스템을 개발하기 위하여 테스트 전동기 내부에 취부된 자속센서 신호를 사용한 알고리즘 적용 결과를 논한 것으로서 분류기별 고장 판별 정확도에 대하여 서술하였다. 특징추출은 Kernel Principal Component Analysis (KPCA) 방법을 이용 하였으며, 테스트 샘플들에 대해서는 LDA(Linear Discriminant Analysis)와 k-NN(k-Nearest neighbors) 분류기법을 이용하여 판별하였다. 회전자 바 손상이나 편심(동적/정적)인 경우는 두 가지 분류기 모두 95[%]이상의 높은 분류 정확도를 보였지만, LDA인 경우 정상상태를 비롯한 베이링 불량이나, 샤프트 변형인 경우는 낮은 분류율을 보였다.
