Development of electro hydraulic ballast remote valve control system with diagnostic function using redundant modbus communication (이중화 모드버스 통신을 이용한 퍼지기반 고장진단기능을 가진 선박 밸러스트 전기유압식 원격밸브제어시스템 개발)

  • This paper describes development of distributed type independent electro-hydraulic ballast valve remote control system with diagnostic function based on fuzzy inference using redundant Modbus communication and ethernet Modbus TCP/IP. Diagnostic function estimate degradation of system components and diagnose system faults, which results in shortage of fault maintenance time and improvement of system safety. Slave devices which control each valve and master device which command, monitor and diagnose slave system are developed. Slave devices are connected to master device with redundant Modbus networks and master device is connected to ship's integrated control system with Modbus TCP/IP. Also this paper describes development of simulator to test and confirm whether developed system can be integrated with ship's integrated control and monitoring system.

Comparative Analysis on the Performance of NHPP Software Reliability Model with Exponential Distribution Characteristics (지수분포 특성을 갖는 NHPP 소프트웨어 신뢰성 모형의 성능 비교 분석)

  • In this study, the performance of the NHPP software reliability model with exponential distribution (Exponential Basic, Inverse Exponential, Lindley, Rayleigh) characteristics was comparatively analyzed, and based on this, the optimal reliability model was also presented. To analyze the software failure phenomenon, the failure time data collected during system operation was used, and the parameter estimation was solved by applying the maximum likelihood estimation method (MLE). Through various comparative analysis (mean square error analysis, true value predictive power analysis of average value function, strength function evaluation, and reliability evaluation applied with mission time), it was found that the Lindley model was an efficient model with the best performance. Through this study, the reliability performance of the distribution with the characteristic of the exponential form, which has no existing research case, was newly identified, and through this, basic design data that software developers could use in the initial stage can be presented.

  • One of the failure mechanism of spaceborne electronics is a fatigue fracture on solder joint under launch random vibration. Thus, a necessity of early diagnosis through the fatigue life evaluation on solder joint arises to prevent such potential risk of failure. The conventional life prediction methods cannot assure the accuracy of life estimation results if the packaging type changes, and also requires much time and effort to construct the analysis model of highly integrated PCB with various packaging types. In this study, we performed life prediction of PCB based on a reliability and life prediction tool of sherlock as a new approach for evaluating the structural reliability on solder joint, and those prediction results were validated by fatigue tests. In addition, we also investigated an influence of solder height on the fatigue life of solder joint. These results indicated that the Sherlock is applicable tool for evaluating the structural reliability of spaceborne electronic.

Estimation of Storage Life for Propellant Bag by Using Gamma Process Model (감마과정 모델에 의한 장약포의 저장수명 예측)

  • The purpose of this paper is to present a method to estimate the storage life of propellant bag for degradation of breaking load with storage time by using gamma process model. The nitrogen compound generated by natural decomposition of propellants degrades the breaking load of propellant bag with time. The statistical distributions of condition and lifetime with time were shown from the results of accelerated life test of propellant bag cloth at $80^{\circ}C$. It was found that the use of median for life was highly appropriate and the $B_1$ or $B_5$ life should be selectively applied to the quality assurance policy.

  • Accurate predictions of software release times, and estimation of the reliability and availability of a software product require quantification of a critical element of the software testing process: Change-point problem. In this paper, exponential (Goel-Okumoto) model was reviewed, proposes the percentile change-point problem, which maked out efficiency application for software reliability. Algorithm to estimate the parameters used to maximum likelihood estimator and bisection method, model selection based on SSE statistics, for the sake of efficient model, was employed. Using NTDS data, The numerical example of percentilechange-point problemi s presented.

  • Maintainability is a major design parameter that includes availability as well as reliability in a RAM (reliability, availability, maintainability) analysis, and is an index that must be considered when developing a system. There is a lack of awareness of the importance of predicting and analyzing maintainability; therefore, it is dependent on past-experience data. To improve the utilization rate, maintainability must be managed as a key indicator to meet the user's requirements for failure maintenance time and to reduce life-cycle costs. To improve the maintainability-prediction accuracy in the detailed design stage, we present a maintainability-prediction method that applies Method B of the Military Standardization Handbook (MIL-HDBK-472) Procedure V, as well as a Korean maintainability-prediction software package that reflects the system complexity.

  • 고장전류의 문제점을 파악하고, 두 코일의 직렬연결을 갖는 자기결합형 초전도 전류제한기의 필요성에 대해서 알아보았다. 그리고 두 코일의 직렬연결을 갖는 자기결합형 초전도 전류 제한기의 구성과, 실험장치의 회로구성에 대하여 나타내었다. 실험에서는 결선방향의 변화와 부하저항 값의 변화에 따른 사고전류와 초전도 소자의 값을 측정하여 분석하였다. 또한, 사고 제거 후 제한기의 복귀시간 변화의 값을 측정하고 그에 따른 분석 후 발전 가능성을 예측해보았다.

  • 원자력발전소, 병원 및 철도와 같이 지속적인 전력공급이 필요한 시설에서는 IT접지시스템의 적용이 활발해지고 있다. 또한 자가발전을 통한 DC배전계통에서 IT접지시스템이 사용될 것으로 예측되고 있다. 이러한 IT접지시스템은 전력선의 어느 쪽도 접지하지 않으며, 장비의 외함 만을 접지함으로써 전력선의 어느 한쪽이 접지되는 사고를 당하더라도 계통의 운전을 정지시키지 않고 고장부위를 찾을 수 있는 시간적 여유가 있으므로, 계통의 연속적인 운전을 확보할 수 있다. 그러나 이러한 접지의 장점을 얻기 위해서는 계통의 운전 중에 전력선의 상태를 지속적으로 감시할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 사용자의 활용도가 높은 LabVIEW 소프트웨어를 이용하여 절연저항을 모니터링 함으로써 전력선의 절연상태를 지속적으로 감시하는 활선절연저항측정기를 개발한다.

  • 컴퓨터시스템은 여러 가지 복잡하고 민감한 시스템을 제어하는데 광범위하게 쓰이고 있다. 최근에 와서는 운영시스템, 제어프로그램, 적용프로그램과 같은 여러 가지 소프트웨어 시스템이 더욱더 복잡화 및 대형화되고 있기 때문에 신뢰성이 높은 소프트웨어 시스템을 개발하는 일이 매우 중요하며, 소프트웨어 제품개발에 있어서 소프트웨어의 신뢰도가 핵심사항이다. 1970년대 이후 소프트웨어의 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위한 여러 가지 소프트웨어의 신뢰도 모델이 제시되고 검토되었으며, 특히, 소프트웨어 개발 후 테스트단계에 적용하는 신뢰도를 추정하고 예측하는 모델이 많이 개발되었다. 소프트웨어가 주어진 시간간격동안 고장이 발생하지 않을 확률 즉, 신뢰도는 소프트웨어의 테스트과정을 계속해서 반복 및 수정하면 더욱 더 증가된다. 그러한 결함검출현상을 설명해주는 소프트웨어 신뢰도 모델을 소프트웨어 신뢰도 성장 모델(SRGM)이라 한다.
