  • Since the time of Vitruvius, the sciences have impacted on the perspectives for architecture and have had a direct influence on the shaping of built space. In recent years, architects have been looking again at sciences as a source of inspiration in the production of their designs and constructions. There are various ways to look at architecture's relationship to science. It is interesting to see how many of the words of day-to-day architectural speech have been drawn from science, the abundant use of references such as topology, fractals, chaos theory, and so on. The reasons for this may be obvious, insofar as science has become the dominant discourse of our times. The numerous attempts have been made to constitute architectural practice so as to bring it into line with the methods of science. But Alberto Perez-Gomez juxtaposed architectural theory and Husserl's. The Crisis of European Science. In Husserl's 'Crisis', it is modern science itself that is laid open question. Through examining its changing relationships to architectural ideas this paper is intended to describe the problematic relationship between science and architecture, in other words, architecture's as science.

  • The metacercariae species have often been isolated from fresh water fish in Korea. In this study, we reported Clinostomum complanatum, a species of metacercariae isolated from gill and muscle of Korean barbel (Hemibarbus mylodon), a natural monument fresh water fish in Korea, by morphological observation. The excysted metacercariae, tongue-shaped and progenetic, were 3.11-4.62 mm in length and 0.90-1.43 mm in width. Fresh water fishes are known as the second intermediate hosts of C. complanatum. This is the first isolation report from Korean barbel.

  • The genus Proteus has been rarely isolated from cultured fish. In this study, we reported Proteus vulgaris isolated from fish skin lesion of Black-spotted porcupine fish (Diodon hystrix). Identification of f vulgaris was performed by general biological test, including API 20E and API ZYM. The sensitivity of isolated strains to different groups of antibiotics was evaluated using the disc diffusion method. It showed that the isolate is sensitive to ciprofloxacin $(5{\mu}g)$, norfloxacin $(10{\mu}g)$, enrofloxacin $(5{\mu}g)$, cefotaxime $(30{\mu}g)$.

  • This study was attempted to find appropriate surgery for gill cover curling disorder in arowana. Gill cover curling is a usual clinical findings in arowana, which often lead to death of the fish by dyspnea. Two different surgical methods were implemented in this study for gill cover by using cutting and incising fm-like fer two silver arowana. The surgery was identified to be successful since the fish healthily recovered. This experiment demonstrated that gill cover curling can be cured by using surgery.

  • This research analyzes the involvement of hermeneutics in architectural history and theory studies and its pedagogy in the West after the 1950s. The research focuses on representative architectural schools in the West. In particular, this paper examines from the curricula of Joseph Rykwert and Dalibor Vesely at the University of Essex to their former students who played a significant role in expanding the history and theory courses in the late 20th century in the North America such as Alberto $P{\acute{e}}rez-G{\acute{o}}mez^{\prime}s$ (McGill University) and David Leatherbarrow (University of Pennsylvania). Through their leadership and other related architectural historians' efforts: 1) hermeneutics have been applied in architectural history studies from the critical perspectives of post-modern philosophy; 2) hermeneutics help stimulate discussions of thoughtful architectural design, enabling strong interactions between design theories and the embodied meanings of buildings; 3) these schools have produced and involved many prominent scholars who actively practice and develop the discourse of architectural history and theory from the perspectives of hermeneutics; 4) Finally, the hermeneutic approach in architectural history studies has enlightened many achieved architects' thoughtful design practice and theories within the emerging context of regional criticism and international cross-cultural architecture.

  • Modern day despite technology advancements that manufacture a new generation of mobile devices with generous resources, the fact that they can offer only limited processing capacity still remains a painful experience. So far, a number of research studies have been carried out, trying to eliminate problems arising from shortcomings in the connection between thin clients and cloud networks, yet little have been found efficient. In this paper, we present a novel approach, taking advantage of collaboration of thin and thick clients, particularly aiming at optimizing data distribution by splitting data and utilizing cloud computing (CC) resources so that expected Quality-of-Service (QoS) requirements can be met. Moreover, we conduct simulations to evaluate our approach. Our results evaluation shows that our approach has better performance than existing approaches.

  • Once upon a time people dreamt for a connected world. But most of the people consider dream as simple as a dream. But when this dream come into reality, the dreamer sometimes alive and sometimes not. But the later generations get outcome from the visionary dream of the former. This is the way of life. If we consider the whole world as a cyber physical system, if everything connects everything, how do we feel then? It is the smart Internet of things that may connect the whole world. This paper addresses few challenges and opportunities of this envisioned connected World. We identify different systems as cyber physical system and it ultimately contribute to the cloud infrastructure.

  • Companies that have high need of some computational resources for an specific space of time, nowadays, the pay as they use manner for resources required, that, is a good solution provided these days by some Cloud computing providers. Also solutions that represent a distributed computation for processes with high demand of calculation have appeared lately, the only problem is that when they are created, they need also be configured to share the same working space, this is the scope that comprehends this work, where the aim is to propose a framework that can be used as a solution of automation of the configurations that sometimes can take undetermined time and sometimes the user that configures it has to have a lot of knowledge and also configurations can turn in tricky ones generating a delay in the time where real productivity should be exploited.

  • An Asian water monitor Varanus salvator with physical wound due to bite which was subsequently infected with bacterium resulting to hemorrhage and pus in the skin blisters, abdominal distention and septicemia. Morganella morganii was isolated and identified from the blood and kidney of the reptile, and confirmed by PCR and biochemical tests. The sensitivity of isolated strains to different groups of antibiotics was also evaluated using the disc diffusion method. Pathogenicity test using M. morganii (SNUFPC-MM01) (1.6 ${\times}$ $10^{11}$CFU/mouse) to suckling and adult mice resulted to the death of all mice. This paper describes the first isolation of M. morganii from Asian water monitor in Korea.

  • In this paper, we described a case of mass mortality of doctor fish from a private fish hatchery farm in Korea with a history of abnormal swimming behavior, diffuse bleeding on the skin and fins and sudden death caused by fish pathogenic bacteria, Citrobacter freundii. Twelve moribund fish fingerling samples were submitted to College of Veterinary Medicine, Seoul National University in October 2008 for diagnostic examination. Diagnostic results showed that the morphological and biochemical properties of the bacteria isolated from the moribund fish were C. freundii. The remaining diseased fish from the hatchery farm were given treatment based on our recommendation and successfully recovered.
