A Study on Effects of Internal Marketing on Secretaries' Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment in IT Companies (IT기업의 내부마케팅이 비서직의 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of internal marketing on job satisfaction and organizational commitment of secretaries working in IT based companies. Especially, to analyze the effects of internal marketing on secretaries in IT companies, this study has adopted job specialization rather than the comprehensive market point of internal customers. Through the analysis, the following results were obtained: firstly, internal marketing factors such as effectiveness of communication, various compensation systems, and chance of educational training have positive effects on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Secondly, job satisfaction has no impact on organizational commitment. To be able to satisfy external customers through internal marketing, communication skills has be to improved between the workers in the company, and also various compensation systems and educational training should be provided more extensively. The secretary in the company is considered a vital link between the company and customer service. In this view, the result of this study is expected to provide some managerial strategies to decision maker in the company to establish a way to increase the satisfaction and needs of internal customers in applying internal marketing.

  • Currently, the service industry share in domestic industry is increasing. Especially the size and marketability of the food service industry, which satisfies with basic human desire, is growing significantly. In this food industry, the coffee industry is recognized as a different area from the traditional food industry. The age of instant coffee at low price has gone. Today, more and more customers want to drink more delicious coffee and coffee that is good to their bodies. Especially as individualism has been rambling, more and more people enjoy individualism and want their personal space. This is why coffee speciality stores have been universalized. Also, as coffee speciality stores have been generalized, their own service quality is necessary and they should satisfy and affirm their loyalty to the customers in line with the enhancement of service quality. The purpose of this research is understanding of the impact of coffee specialty shop's service quality on affective commitment and repurchase intentions. The results of an empirical study in this research are as follows: First, compassion among the execution factors of coffee specialty shop's quality has a positive effect on both of affective commitment. But typicality and reactivity don't. Second, affective commitment have a positive effect on repurchase intentions. With a base of the above research result, we should comprehend that another service quality factor exists compared to other dining-out industry and establish marketing strategies in order to contribute to enhance repurchase intentions for the customers.

  • The customer retention of internet shopping mall become important nowadays as internet shopping mall is expanding quickly. In this situation, the present study aims to analyze the components of internet shopping mall service quality and it's relationship with satisfaction, and retention. The CRM is a very important point for company marketing, it is also necessary to construct trust and commitment. Especially it has been recognized that when we deal with online shopping, the correlation with customers is very important. At this point one purpose of this study is to find out those effects on satisfaction of the service quality. Another purpose is to find the factors which effect retention. Structural equation modeling is used to test the model building in this paper based on the data from survey of 223 online shopping mall customers. The results in the study provide our supports to the model and indicate that: first, service quality has a positive effect on satisfaction. Second, satisfaction, trust and commitment have strong relations and they affect customer retention in the internet shopping mall service.

Effects of Perceived Value and Value Congruence on Loyalty about Products or Services Provided by Social Enterprises: Focused on Commitment and Trust (인지된 가치와 가치 일치성이 사회적 기업 제품과 서비스 충성도에 미치는 영향: 몰입과 신뢰를 중심으로)

  • Establishing a financial independence is essential for sustainable growth of social enterprises. In this vein, this study investigated the key factors that affect customer loyalty about the products or services provided by social enterprises. Commitment and trust in social enterprises were considered as main factors affecting customer loyalty. We also examined the effects of functional, hedonic and social value about the products or services of social enterprises on purchasing decision-making processes. The research model analysis was conducted on 204 consumers using social enterprises in Dong-gu, Daegu. The analysis of research model has shown that commitment and trust had a significant impact on customer loyalty about the product or service of those enterprises. Functional value did not have a significant effect on commitment, while it had a significant effect on trust. Hedonic value had a significant impact on both commitment and trust. Social value had a significant effect on commitment, but not on trust. Value congruence had a significant effect on both commitment and trust. Based on the our findings, it is expected that it would help establish operational and marketing strategies to improve competitiveness in products and services of social enterprises.

A Study on Management Strategies and Structural Relationships in the Restaurant Industry Using the Service Profit Chain (서비스이익사슬 모형을 적용한 외식업의 구조적 관계와 경영전략에 관한 연구: 직원과 고객을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically determine the structural relationship between employee constructs such as internal service quality, employee satisfaction, and organization commitment and customer constructs such as perceived value, customer satisfaction, and loyalty to suggest an effective business strategy for restaurant business. To do this, the study consulted with the Korea Restaurant Association, the representative of Korean food service and got the intention of participating in the research from the Daegu branch. As a result, 51 restaurants registered in the Daegu branch who showed their intention to participate were selected as an initial sample. Also, other restaurants were introduced through snow-ball sampling method by the owners of restaurants who finished responding to the survey, and total 100 restaurants were examined. A survey was conducted to external customers who visited restaurants and internal customers working there. For final analysis, 741 questionnaires of internal customers and 970 questionnaires of external customers were used. The result of analysis showed that team-work & communication in internal service quality has a significant effect on employee satisfaction, employee satisfaction on organization commitment, and organization commitment on value perceived by customers. Also, perceived value has a significant effect on customer satisfaction and loyalty, and customer satisfaction on loyalty.

The Relationships among the Service Education Satisfaction, Service Involvement, and Customer Orientation of Hospital Employees (의료기관 종사자의 고객접점 (MOT)서비스교육만족도, 고객지향성 및 서비스몰입 간의 관계)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the relationships among the service education satisfaction, service involvement, and customer orientation of hospital employees after yearly-planned MOT service education. Methods: The data collection was done through the questionnaire survey in a university hospital located in D city from March 15 to 31, 2010. The statistical analysis was done by SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: The enrolled employees were two hundred and seventy six. Among the characteristics of employees, adequate work load, good payment, reasonable promotion system, suitability of work aptitude and good relationships with staff improved the service education satisfaction, customer orientation, and service involvement of hospital employees. For the customer orientation, old age and lower educational background were positive factors. The correlations among the service education satisfaction, customer orientation, and service involvement of hospital employees were significant. The factors that affect customer orientation and service involvement were found to be age, suitability of work aptitude and service education satisfaction. Conclusion: In conclusion, customer orientation and service involvement were related with the satisfaction of employees for working condition and service education. In terms of good medical service quality, plans for maintaining adequate working environment and systematic service education should be established.

  • One recurrent theme within the literature on 6 sigma was the study of its effect on organizational performance. Nonetheless, most research were focused on analyzing the relationships between the implementation of different elements and several types of performance. This research incorporated the effect of organizational environment as a variable for explaining the impact of 6 sigma on business results. The model was tested using regression analyses, employing a survey of employees of hotels' cuisine departments involved in 6 sigma. The causal analysis results showed that dynamism, munificence and complexity influenced the degree of implementation of the main 6 sigma principles. Similarly, the dimensions of 6 sigma had an impact on employees' work commitment. The model could be used by hotels to assess their level of 6 sigma success depending on specific environmental characteristics.

  • This study strives to identify effects of the relationship between the loyalty program and service loyalty through focusing on the role of the loyalty program which is used as a means of promotion in relationship marketing. According to the result of the empirical testing, the higher the economical usefulness and psychological usefulness (the perceived value of the loyalty program) are, the higher the customer satisfaction rate was. Also, the higher the satisfaction of the loyalty program, the more credibility increased. Furthermore, the higher credibility was the more positive the influencing relationship with a heightened level of commitment was found to be. It was discovered that different factors such as customer satisfaction, customer trust, customer commitment in the loyalty program have a positive influence on service loyalty. Loyalty program satisfaction, along with loyalty program credibility and commitment indirectly affected service loyalty.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the components and verify the relationship among service quality, customer satisfaction and relationship quality in liner shipping company. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, literature survey related to service quality, customer satisfaction, relationship quality was carried out and took an empirical analysis by the use of questionnaire method for employees in international freight forwarders. The final results are as follows; First, correlations between service quality and customer satisfaction are found to be positive. But service quality component of tangibles and responsiveness with customer satisfaction are not to be positive. Second, as the other study on the similar logistics industries, the correlation between customer satisfaction and relationship quality is found to be positive in this study.
