Information acquisition and searching in hypertext: Comparison Between adults and children (하이퍼텍스트상의 정보획득과 성인과 아동의 정보탐색)

  • This study investigated information acquisition from hypertext and the difference of searching behavior between adults and children. In experiment 1. we compared the amount of information acquisition from the hypertext to that of the printed text. The result showed that the performance in printed text was better than in hypertext. However. the performance of experienced (in the internet) participant showed no difference between the hypertext and the printed text. Experiment 2 compared the information-searching behavior of the adults and children in the hypertext environment. The results showed that adults performed the information-searching faster than children, yet there was no difference in the proportion of correct responses of the two groups. However. children who were more experienced in the internet and produced right answers to the 7th level questions in depth performed better and faster than the adults who were not. These results suggest that the experience in the internet is the most important factor in the searching of the wanted information.

  • Why people share location context information? The purpose of our study is that why users share location context information and which factors is related to co-experiences in LBSNS. Through an exploratory approach, first, we conducted a qualitative study in order to understand experiences among people in LBSNS and analyzed according to Grounded Theory. As a result, we found concepts regarding co-experiences cooperatively and competitively in LBSNS. Second, the theoretical model of co-experience was constructed by mediating perceived empathy based on theoretical foundation. In this study, theoretically, we suggested exploratory research model of co-experiences in LBSNS. Practically, designers could adopt concepts in terms of competition and collaboration among users to build co-experience of LBSNS services as its guidelines.

  • 대학의 게임개발 프로젝트에서 QA를 수행하기 위해 필요한 테스트 베이시스를 확보하기 쉽지 않다는 문제가 있다. 이렇게 테스트 베이시스가 부족한 경우 경험기반 테스트 기법이 대안이 될 수 있다. 탐색적 테스팅은 경험기반 테스트 기법 중에서도 체계화가 되어 있는 기법이다. 본 논문에서는 탐색적 테스팅을 활용할 경우에 필요한 탐색적 테스팅 수행 절차와 보고서 양식을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 QA 프로세스와 양식은 실제 게임개발 프로젝트에서 유용하게 적용할 수 있다.

Searching the Meaning of Life Insurance Planner's Job Experiences (생명보험설계사의 직무경험 의미 탐색)

  • This study explores the meaning of life insurance planner's job experiences achieving job security, high performance and high income. After 6 of life insurance planners working in the field were chosen as the study participants, we use narrative approach to studying the meaning of their job experiences. The study shows that perception about job competency of planners depends on the level of experience: candidates who had no experience at all feel that anyone can perform planner's job, new employees after introduction training program see planners can do with product knowledge and consulting competency, and experienced people admit they can perform successfully only when they have good attitude towards customers and do all their work in a conscientious manner. Also, the meaning of planner's job experiences is identified as awareness of work value and serving customers with their commitment. The anticipated factors that make planner's job performed successfully are playing a role as a teacher, doctor, and angel, being regarded as happiness preacher for economic stability of individuals and families, and displaying their performance as experts.

The Effects of External Search Strategy on Innovation Performance: In the Context of Korean SMEs (외부 정보 탐색 전략이 혁신 성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구: 한국 중소기업을 대상으로)

  • This paper seeks to explore the effects of search strategies on innovation performance in the context of small and medium enterprises. The empirical results of 3,398 Korean SMEs demonstrate that there is a substitutive relationship between search depth and search width, and this substitutive relationship is weakened when a firm possesses collaboration experience. Furthermore, although these two types of search enhance innovation performance, the impact of search depth is greater than that of search width. The positive effect of search width on innovation performance is weakened when the firm adopts formal information protection mechanisms.

  • Despite the popularity of e-commerce, the understanding of preferred product types for information searches and purchase on the internet are not sufficient. This paper studies the effect of risk perception on information search behavior through online only, offline only, and on-offline together. Specially, this study classifies product types into search goods, experience goods, and credence goods. The study attempts to determine how the relationship between the perceived risk and the information search is influenced by the product knowledge level. The results show that the higher the risk perceptions about experience goods and credence goods, the more the consumer searches information through online and offline together when the consumer's knowledge level is low. When the consumer's knowledge level is high, however, the higher the risk perception regarding search goods, the more the consumer searches information through online only.

A Theoretical Study of Personal Characteristics of Online Searchers (온라인 탐색자의 개인적 특성에 관한 문헌연구)

  • A variety of searcher traits, characteristics, subject background and behaviors have been the subject of investigations exploring various hypotheses relating to searching performances. Previous studies have focused on searchers personal characteristics such as training, experience, subject knowledge, intelligence, cognitive style, attitude and searching style, Each of these factors is examined in this paper in order to find out searcher's personal characteristics affecting searching performance. Surprisingly, searching training and experience have not been found to influence searching performance. The hypothesis that intellectual ability correlates with the ability to online search seems to have little effect Various cognitive styles of searchers were tested to find out whether they relate to search results. Only FD/Fl cognitive style were found to be significant in relation to search results. Searchers showed a variety of attitudes about online searching. They revealed sensitivity toward searching charges. The attitude toward charges was reflected on the searching behavior. The sensitive searchers tend to conduct cost-effective searches, Searching styles of intermediaries were characterized as interactive and fast batch. It was found that experienced searchers prefer simple searches which do not explore the interactive capabilities of online system. In summary, previous studies have confirmed that there are apparently great individual differences among online searchers in searching behaviors as well as attitudes. But relationships between these individual differences and search performance were too weak to be significant.

  • The purpose of this study is to define determinants of tourists' behavior focused on tourism omni-channel and to verify the relationship between tourism information search motivation, tourism omni-channel satisfaction, tourism experience and perceived risk. We presented the hypotheses including ease of use, trust and satisfaction and also analyzed the moderator effects of tourism experience and perceived risk(financial risk, psychological risk) variables. For an accuracy of expected results, we focused on survey with 298 respondents. Based upon prior studies, it is meaningful that this study verified 1) the positive relationship between tourism information search motivation and tourism omni-channel satisfaction and 2) the significant moderating effect of financial risk on the relationship between tourism information search motivation and tourism omni-channel satisfaction.

  • In the modern society, as development innovative technology consumers could access various information. It make consumers empower in the market, and information asymmetry problem were solving more and more. In the technical information, however, there are still information asymmetry because technical information is very difficult to understand, and those are related with professional knowledge such as financial information. This study used the dataset which was collected to track Korean consumers consumption index by KCA(Korea Consumer Agency) which included consumer's problem experience at financial field. The results are followings. Firstly, consumers want to get exact and important information to decide purchase or not and comparative information in technical information area. Secondly, age is the influence variable to experience more problems in technical information section. Thirdly, consumer's subjective financial competency is major influence factor to reduce problem experience.

  • 우리나라의 자영업자 비율은 G7보다 높은 수치로서 OECD회원국들 중 상위에 속하며, 그 중에서도 소상공인은 전체 사업자 수의 93.3%에 달한다. 하지만 2020년 3/4분기 기준 서울시의 소상공인 5년 생존율은 38.4%에 불과하며, 대표적인 폐업/업종전환 고려 이유는 수익성 악화, 판매부진, 경기불황이다. 이처럼 폐업한 소상공인들은 취업을 하거나 기존 업종으로 다시 창업을 하는 경우도 있으나, 새로운 업종에 도전하기도 한다. 그러나 재창업의지에 대한 선행연구는 많은 반면, 업종전환 및 업종전환 의지는 아직 심도있게 연구된 바 없다. 본 연구의 목적은 사업에 실패한 뒤 재창업을 하였거나, 사업에 실패한 뒤 재창업을 목표하는 소상공인을 대상으로 창업 실패 경험이 업종전환 의지에 미치는 영향 관계를 검증하는 것이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 소상공인의 사업 실패 경험이 업종전환 의지에 미치는 영향의 탐색적 연구를 사회적지지 조절효과를 중심으로 진행하였으며, 소상공인의 사업 실패 경험이 업종전환 의지를 높인다는 인과관계를 검증하고자 한다.
