According to the recent statistics of Korean National Police which analyze the present status on the rate of the traffic accidents and their effects in Korea, the number of casualties by traffic accidents of 2004 amounted to 6,563, which means that the average number of casualties per 10,000 vehicles is 3.99. The figure of 3.99 is much larger than 1.85 of U.S.A, 1.10 of Japan, 1.14 of U.K., and 1.23 of Germany. The number of registered vehicles of Korea is steeply increasing since 1997 when it reached 10,000,000. Since then, the number of annual increase is estimated at 860,000 except for the year 1998 when the Korean economy was under the control of IMF, and over 14 million vehicles are registered as of the end of the year 2004. With the increase of vehicles, the violations of traffic rules, crimes using vehicles, car thefts, etc have been imposing a lot of serious problems on our society. On this thesis, we are aiming at analyzing some characteristics of traffic accidents reported to the police and suggesting some kinds of the police activities for securing the safety of the transportation. 통계청에 의하면 65세 이상 인구가 2024년 1,000만명을 도래할 것으로 예측하고 있으며, 노인인구 증가와 함께 노인치안 이슈들은 매년 증가하고 있다. 특히, 경찰청 자료에 따르면 최근 5년간 노인범죄피해는 매년 증가하고 있는 것으로 나타났다(경찰청, 2021). 치안서비스 대상에서 주요한 영역을 차지하게 될 노인을 대상으로 한 범죄예방정책을 마련하기 위하여 범죄피해노인의 특성에 관한 연구를 함에 있어 연도별 노인의 범죄피해영향요인의 차이가 있는지를 이 연구에서는 분석하고자 하였다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 한국형사·법무정책연구원의 2014년, 2016년, 2018년 전국범죄피해조사 2차 자료를 활용하였으며, 그 중 만65세 노인대상 자료만을 추출하여 2014년 1.921명, 2016년, 2,935명, 2018년 2,707명을 각각 최종분석에 활용하였다. Spss ver 21. 통계프로그램을 활용하여 로지스틱회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 연구결과 2014년에는 사회적 무질서 수준과 노인범죄피해와의 관계성이 높았다면, 2016년에는 물리적 무질서 수준과 노인범죄피해와의 관계성이 높았고, 2016년과 2018년에는 독거노인과 빈 집으로 가구가 노출되는 시간이 긴 정도가 노인범죄피해와의 관계성이 높은 것으로 볼 수 있었다. 이러한 연도별 노인 범죄피해 영향요인의 변화를 실증연구를 통해 검증함으로써 추후 노인범죄예방을 위한 정책마련의 자료로 활용하고자 한다.

For 5 years and 6 months, ranging from January 2003 to June 2008, SPSS 12.0 Statistical Program was used to analyze the overall analysis, analysis of center line encroachment, analysis of signal violations, analysis of drinking while intoxicated, analysis of driving without license, analysis of two-wheel vehicle, analysis of pedestrian, analysis of safety equipment, analysis of traffic publicity or education and automobile registration accounts, and casualty of traffic accidents that are determined as having statistical implication based on the statistics available from the policy to take a look at traffic accident in the Daejeon area, and there were some meaningful results. With the proof that there is a certain level of ratio for the correlations between traffic control and traffic accident that the effect of traffic control has shown with certain time interval. The relationship of traffic control and the casualty of traffic accident has very low coefficient of correlations that it is not statistically noticeable that traffic control of the police has almost no effect in preventing traffic accident. This is a display of the fact that the conversion of direction for traffic safety measure undertaken to this point is rather urgent that there is a dire need of establishing the effective alternatives.

Evidence-based policymaking and assessments for scientific administration have increased the importance of statistics (data) utilization. Statistics can explain specific phenomena by providing numerical values and are a public resource for national decision making. Due to these inherent attributes, statistics are utilized as baseline and base data for government policy determinations and the analysis of various phenomena. However, compared to the importance, the role of statistics is limited, and statistics are often used as simple abstracts, produced mainly for suppliers, not for consumers' perspectives to create value. This study explores the statistical data and other attributes that can be utilized for policies or research to address the problems mentioned above. The baseline statistical data used in this study is from the Maritime Distress Accident Statistical Yearbook published by the South Korean Coast Guard, and other additional attributes are from text analyses of vessel casualty situation reports from the South Korean Maritime Police. Collecting 56 attributes drawn from the text analysis and executing an EDA resulted in 88 attribute unions: 18 attribute unions had a satisfactory significance probability (p-value < .05) and a strong correlation coefficient above 0.7, and 70 attribute unions had a middle correlation. (over 0.4 and under 0.7). Additionally, to utilize the extra attributes discovered from the EDA politically, a keyword analysis for each detailed strategy of the disaster Preparation basic plan was executed, the utilization availability of the attributes was obtained using a matching process of keywords, and the EDA deducted attributes were examined.

The primary aim of this study is to provide effective operational directions of multi-purpose maneuver patrol via practical analysis on the fear of crime and its impact factors in the Hot Spots Policing target region. Comparative Analysis on fear of crime and its impact factors such as informal social control, disorder, and the perception of police activities is conducted in regions of maneuver patrol against its neighborhood. In Conclusion, no evident differences in fear of crime between the regions of maneuver patrol and its neighborhood were found. However, regions of maneuver patrol displayed significant distinctions in informal social control and perception of crime frequency in comparison to its neighborhood of no such patrol. In addition, it was noticed that in both regions disorder and perception of crime frequency served as the impact factors of fear of crime, which in part exhibits positive relationship with perception of hot spots policing. This study concludes that criterion in deciding on the regions of maneuver patrol should include subjective impact factors such as fear of crime. Furthermore, it suggests that along with the current unsatisfactory maneuver patrol system there needs specific guideline to enhance the perception of police activities including strengthened interactions with residents, improvement in social disorder.

According to the statistical yearbook 2012 by Korea Coast Guard, the 69% of accidents at the sea are due to fishing boat. Accordingly, we studied cases of accident due to fishing boat, and safety supervision state and circumstance for the find out the reason and problem from the point of human, equipment, policy and VTS. As a result we hope that this study contribute to decrease of the accident due to fishing boat at the sea.

The purpose of the paper is to provide policy suggestions for effectively tackling subway crimes, based on the UK and USA's crime control strategies and systems of subway crimes. The paper attempts to analyze the characteristics of subway crimes in Seoul Subways, and discovers that many of the crimes on the subways are basically 'opportunistic' crimes. In particular, crime statistics of Seoul Subways clearly show that sexual-related crimes are on the sharp increase. In this context, it is of great essence that official vigilance functions should be strengthened in order to eliminate crime opportunities in Seoul Subways. Based on such an analysis - in particular, focusing on official surveillance and response capabilities of subway passengers - the paper finally presents policy recommendations as follows: 1) an increase in the number of police officers of the Subway Police Squad, 2) an increase in the number of CCTV cameras and their effective use, 3) the development of subway riders' defence abilities, 4) strong law enforcement against minor disorder offences based on zero-tolerance policing, and 5) the reinforcement of community partnerships.

This study was carried out in order to identify oral health knowledge according to police officers' oral health behaviors. The questionnaire survey was conducted targeting 237 police officers in Gwangju. A tool used general characteristics, oral health knowledge, oral health behavior and oral health education needs. The analysis was processed with descriptive statistics, t-test, Anova and regression analysis. As a result, the oral health knowledge was high in a person of using oral hygiene products and in a person of experiencing a visit to dental clinic(p<0.001). The desired the oral health education were a specialist's direct verbal explanation and the correct tooth-brushing method. Also, marital status, educational level, smoking status, using oral hygiene products and Dental visit experience were identified to have influence upon a oral health knowledge (explanatory power, 40.5%). Hence, the results of this study will be able to be applied to basic data in case of developing an oral health education program and planning a dental health project for enhancing oral health in police officers.

화재발생시 경찰, 소방 등 행정관서는 현장통제 초동조치, 응급구조 진화작업, 화재조사 및 수사, 화재증명 발급 및 통계작성, 피의자(원인 제공자) 입건 및 송치를 담당하고 있고, 검찰청은 수사보완 및 기소, 법원은 형사 및 민사재판을 진행하게 됨으로써 책임과 보상관계를 판가름하게 된다. 물론 이재관계자의 합의, 화재보험 등으로 피해보상을 받기도 하나 모든 것이 국민으로부터 나온 것이고, 국민을 볼모로 하여서는 않되므로 화재원인의 명쾌한 규명으로 유사사고의 재발방지를 위한 연구가 필요하다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect that preferred music listening had on police officers' occupational stress and fatigue. The musical intervention took place over a total of six sessions from October 11 to October 19, 2016. At each session, the experimental group (n = 19) received 20 minutes of music listening with individually customized playlists that were compiled based on their preferred music list. The control group (n = 21) simply took a break from work for 20 minutes. Every participant checked his or her occupational stress and fatigue level before and after the experiment using the Occupational Stress Inventory and Subjective Symptoms of Fatigue Test. The data were then analyzed by the SPSS 22.0 statistics program. To examine the homogeneity and pretest-posttest results between groups, an independent t test was conducted, and a paired t test was used to examine the pretest-posttest results within groups. The results confirmed all hypotheses. Findings support that the use of preferred music listening is an effective way to help police officers to control their occupational stress and fatigue. This study used a convenience sample and has limited generalizability. Future research should explore interactive approaches in music therapy as well as receptive music listening for alleviating police officers' occupational stress and fatigue.
