Economic evaluation analysis for accommodation re-arrangement of 9,600TEU Container ship (9,600TEU급 컨테이너선의 거주 공간 재배치에 의한 경제성 평가 분석)

  • As ship builder companies have a tendency to pursuit the effect of scale economy, recently the ultra-large sized container ship is discussed very actively among them. It is expected that these situation will be continued for the time being. The need of accommodation re-arrangement is carefully proposed according to the tendency of ultra-large sized ship. In this paper, accommodation re-arrangement of ultra-large container ship is examined in the view of economy. We proposed separation of engine room and accommodation part through review and supplementaition of drawing generation in intial design stage. Also we investigated its merits and demerits to find out whether it can be realized or not in the view of economical efficiency. The RFR(Required Freight Rate) is considered as the objective function to evaluate the re-designed vessel. The economical benefits for increasing the number of TEU(Twenty-foot Equivalent Units)'s and the re-arranged space are analyzed in the view of ship owner and shipyards respectively.

Temporal Spatial Externalities on Agglomeration Economy of Manufacturing : Estimation of Spatial SUR by Using 3SLS (시간을 고려한 제조업 집적경제의 공간외부성 분석 : 3단계최소자승법을 이용한 공간 SUR 추정)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the spatial externalities of agglomeration economy of manufacturing has been changed or not, from 1991 to 2005. To find this spatial SUR model was used to consider covariance of each equation and it was estimated by 3SLS. This paper found that spatial externalities has been decreased and there is economy of scale in same sector. As a result, we can conclude that there is industrial specialization in region whereas interregional linkage are weaken. This finding supports the desirability of creating supra-regional agencies promoting interregional linkage because supra-regional agencies can internalize spatial externality of agglomeration economy.

  • Recently the building of ultra large container ship are discussed among ship building companies and ship operating company who have a tendency to pursue the advantage of large scale of economy. These tendency will be continued for the time being, if ship-building skill and economical efficiency are available. As the enlargement of container ship size becomes hot issues in ship-building markets, the needs for re-arrangement of accommodation house in large container ship are proposed carefully in some researches. This study examined economical efficiency of re-arrangement of accommodation house in ultra large container ship. The separation between accommodation and engine room is proposed through out drawing works in initial design stage and we examined the merits and demerits of the separation in the view of economical efficiency. The RFR(Required Freight Rate) is considered as the objective function to evaluate the re-designed vessel. The economical benefits are analyzed in the view of ship operator and shipyard respectively.

  • This study attempts to figure out the impact of Information and communication technologies (ICTs) on spatial structure and to speculate on spatial strategies in the electronic economy from a geographical perspective. The unprecedented development of ICTs based on the explosive use of the Internet was enough to lead to the expectation that physical distance would not be a significant barrier in business activities. In fact, however, at least at a current stage, the development of ICTs has not automatically removed the inequality in spatial structure. The accessibility to electronic space is different by economic and social status within a country as well as between countries. The importance of place, locality, and place-specific assets has been strengthened in the global economy. Physical proximity is still of great importance because it helps to minimize transaction costs, to exploit place-specific social networks, and to accumulate credibility for successful businesses. Likewise, the development of electronic commerce such as B2B and B2C EC also does not necessarily result in the ignorance of place and locality. Rather, the recognition of the importance of spatial strategies is extremely important for the success in online businesses. As a conclusion, the spatial dimension becomes more important in the digital era for successful businesses and balanced regional developments than ever before. The need for the improvement of ICT infrastructures, the development of human resources, and the establishment of regional innovation systems in peripheral areas cannot be overemphasized even in the digital era.

  • 본 연구는 대구광역시에서 구축하여 운영중인 GIS과 GIS간 On-Line을 통하여 변동된 개체만을 교환하는 자료교환체계의 경제성 평가를 비용편익 분석기법을 이용하여 지역전체 측면과 수치지도의 제작과 유지관리를 수행하는 대구광역시 측면, 시설물 관리 및 활용기관 측면 등 3가지 측면에서 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구는 지상지하 지형지물들의 효율적인 관리를 위하여 자치단체별로 추진하고 있는 GIS사업들의 효율적인 추진방안을 제시하고, 확산함으로써 NGIS발전에 많은 공헌을 할 수 있을 것으로 간주되며, 공간객체별 실시간 자료교환에 따른 경제성 평가를 실시하고 제시하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.

Economic Geographical Research Agenda for Social Economy (사회적 경제에 관한 경제지리학의 연구 주제)

  • Taking note of growing tendency of academic interests and policy applications with regard to social economy, this study aims to suggest economic geographical agenda for social economy. It is presumed that the orientation of social economy toward pursuing social value will exhibit unique spatial characteristics. Elements containing spatial implications have been identified through a review of hierarchial concepts including social innovation, social economy organization and social enterprise. Three approached are suggested as tools of understanding the spatial context of social economy: spatial characteristics inspiring social entrepreneurship, place-based context of decision-making by social economy organizations, and spaces formulated by interactions between the demand for solving social problems and the supply of economic resources. The investigation of social innovation clusters is required to focus on the differentiated characteristics from normal industrial clusters. It is also suggested that the concept of embeddedness be applied in the search of the essence and elements of social economy's ties with local community.

Analysis of Spatial Association of Regional Economic Growth and Land Use Considering Regional Economic Sphere (광역경제권 설정을 고려한 지역경제성장과 토지이용에 관한 공간연관성 분석)

  • The aim of this study is to analyze the spatial association of regional economic growth and land use considering 5 plus 2 regional economic sphere (Capital region zone, Chungchung zone, Honam zone, Daekyung zone, Dongnam zone and kangwon zone, Jejudo zone) in Korea. The factors of regional economic growth are GRDP and the rate of self-finance and land use, especially industrial and manufactering zone. The data for this research are obtained by National Statistical Office web-site etc. For this, the Seemingly Unrelated Regression(SUR), as a kind of simultaneous equation model, is employed as empirical analysis. Overall results of this study show that the spatial association of the capital region zone and other zones is complementary. but Honam zone and Dongnam zone or Daekyung zone is competitive. We conclude from this study that the policy of regional development will be considered in accordance with the regional economic growth and land use. Also, this study found that Economic growth of regional economic sphere will be achieved from that of cities within zone and the results will be helpful to policy makers and regional planners when establishing regional planning in the future.

A Method for Estimating Building Damage by Using Grid Unit Spatial Information (격자단위 공간정보를 활용한 건물피해 산정방법)

  • 전 세계적인 기후변화로 인해 홍수가 발생하는 빈도가 상승하고 있으며, 도시화가 발달됨에 따라 재산 피해 금액도 증가하는 추세이다. 이와 같은 홍수피해를 저감시키기 위하여 수공 구조물의 보강 및 설치와 같은 효과적인 구조적 대책이 필수적이다. 구조적 대책의 경우 예방차원의 재난관리를 위하여 치수 사업 전/후의 경제성을 평가해야 하는데, 국내에서는 개선법과 다차원 홍수피해 산정법(MD-FDA, 이하 다차원법)을 활용하여 정량적인 경제성 평가를 수행하고 있다. 그리고 다차원법의 경우 공간정보자료인 토지피복도를 활용하기 때문에 침수된 건물을 각각 산정해줌으로서 보다 정확한 경제성 분석을 실시할 수 있지만 산정 절차가 복잡하여 시간이 오래 걸리는 단점을 지니고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 개선법과 다차원법의 단점을 보완하고자 격자단위 공간정보를 활용한 건물피해 산정방법을 제안하고자 하였다. 국토정보플랫폼에서는 100m×100m 격자 자료를 제공해주고 있으며, 각각의 격자에는 단독 주거, 공동 주거의 공간정보 자료가 구축 되어있다. 이러한 격자자료와 홍수범람지도를 중첩하여 격자 단위 홍수 피해액을 산정함으로서 절차를 간결하게 할 수 있다. 또한 본 연구를 통하여 추정된 피해 금액과 비교적 정확한 홍수 피해액을 추정하는 기존 다차원법의 피해 금액을 비교하여 격자단위 공간정보를 활용한 건물피해 산정방법을 평가하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 개발한 방법을 사용하게 된다면 경제성분석 결과가 과대 산정되는 개선법을 보완할 수 있으며, 계산과정이 복잡하여 실무에서의 적용성이 부족한 다차원법의 문제점도 보완할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 또한 신속한 피해액 추정을 통하여 홍수 피해를 예방하는데 필요한 치수사업을 빠르게 선정함으로서 후속 피해를 신속히 예방할 수 있을 것이다.

  • The column gap of underground parking lots of office considering a business background and effective parking divisions is planned. A parking plan by column gap of fixed forms in atypical underground parking lots makes much extra storage rooms. Most of the edge of the parking lots are used for fan room. Part of the edge are located at parking ramps. Also warehouses are located in extra storage rooms. In this study compare study economical efficiency between life cycle costs and leases earnings. Consequently, It is proved that the warehouse rental is efficient because of lease earning guaranted years.

군 유휴공간 태양광발전 경제성 연구

  • 대한민국 정부는 '재생에너지 3020 계획'에 따라 2030년까지 재생에너지 발전 비중을 20%까지 확대하겠다는 방침을 세웠다. 목표 달성을 위한 태양광발전은 30.8GW을 신규설비로 확보해야 하지만 신재생에너지를 설치할 수 있는 공간은 한정되어 있어 추가적인 공간이 문제가 된다. $297km^2$의 건물 부지를 소관하고 있는 군(軍)은 공공기관 중 가장 넓은 부지를 보유한 단일 기관이다. 이러한 군 유휴공간을 활용한 민간투자방식의 태양광 발전사업 경제적 타당성을 연구하였다. 본 연구에서는 경제적 효과를 RETScreen을 통해 분석하였고, 그 결과 내부수익률(IRR) 10.7%로 경제적 타당성이 입증되어 민간투자의 사업성을 확인하였다. SWOT분석 결과에 따르면 군 태양광 BOT사업은 전력 모니터링 및 유지보수 등 사업 전 과정에서 보안 요소가 발생하지만, 강한 규제의 산지 및 임야의 대안으로 표준화된 군사시설이, 한 번의 설계로, 유휴공간에 대량 설치가 가능한, 모듈화의 이점을 가지고 있었다.
