ln competitive electricity market, useful technique would be required to calculate settlement amount for electric power traded between market participants and KPX since a number of market partici-pants would appear and trade electric power. Especially calculation of constrained on/off compensation amount can be complicated, and needs to be understood clearly by market participants to avoid unnecessary disputes. This paper presents a technique to settle more easily constrained on/off compensation amount using surplus function. In this technique, a surplus is calculated by each dispatched values and then the compen-sation amount is calculated by the difference of each surpluses. By doing this, settlement amount can be cal-culated by summing the trading amount and the compensation amount.

세계무역기수(WTO) 출범으로 국내 건설산업은 그 동안의 제도적인 보호막과 안주에서 벗어나 앞선 기술력과 자본력을 갖고 있는 외국의 선진건설업체들과 경쟁해야 하는 국제화 시대를 맞이하게 되었다. 국내 건설산업이 기술수준이나 경영능력면에서 해외선진업체에 비해 뒤떨어져 있는 상황에서 건설시장 개방은 선진건설업체의 국내시장의 잠식 등 부정적인 예상을 줄 것으로 예상된다. 그러나 장기적으로 국내 업체의 해외시장 진출 확대, 산업구조 합리화, 기술개발촉진 등 긍정적인 영향도 클 것으로 기대된다. 따라서 정부 및 업계는 시장개방에 대응하여 외국 업체에 의한 국내시장 잠식의 최소화, 국내 건설업체의 체질 강화 방안을 하루속히 강구하여 국제화 시대에 대비해야 한다. 즉, 외국 건설업체들의 국내시장 진출에 따른 관련 제도의 합리적인 정비, 국내 업체의 선진화를 위한 기술개발투자 확대, 경영혁신 및 경쟁력 제고, 해외건설 시장 진출을 위한 금융지원 등 입찰, 계약제도의 개선, 국내 제반여건을 시급히 마련해야 할 것이다. 여기세 소개되는 신기술$\cdot$신공법은 지난 3월 28일부터 4월 1일까지 독일 프랑크프르트에서 개최된 $\ulcorner$ISH기자재박랍회$\lrcorner$에 출품된 것으로서 우리나라 실정에 어느정도 맞고 앞으로 개선 발전이 요구되는 사항으로 자재 생산업체와 설비업체 공동으로 지속적인 연구와 기술개발을 할 경우 건설시장 개방과 국제화 추세에 대응하는데 크게 도움이 되리라 사료된다.

This paper is to survey the major results of the game-theoretic models and recent research directions of the literature on auctions and competitive biddings. This paper classifies the auctions and competitive biddings into the following four major types:(i) English auction, (ii) Dutch auction, (iii) the first-price sealed-bid auction, (iv) the second-price sealed-bid auction. In order to survey the major ideas related to auctions and competitive biddings, we use two representative theoretical models developed under the game-theoretic framework : (i) the independent private value model are summarized as follows ; (1) The Dutch auction and the first-price auction are strategically equivalent, and so are the English auction and the second-price auction. (2) At the symmetric equilibria, the expected selling price is the same for all four types of auction. Meanwhile, the major results of the general model are as follows ; (1) When bidders are uncertain about their value extimate, the English and second-price auctions are not equivalent, but the dutch and the first-price auctions are still strategically equivalent. (2) The English auction generates the higher expected prices than the second-price auction. Also, when bidders are risk-neutral, the second-price auction generated higher average prices than the Dutch and the first-price auctions.

This paper addresses the bidding strategies of a hydro generator in an electricity market, and their effect on the electricity market in accordance with some parameters: the water volume, the demand elasticity, and the hydro unit performance. The competition of a hydro generator is formulated as a hi-level optimization problem, and the solving scheme for the equilibrium condition is proposed as a set of nonlinear simultaneous equations. The equilibrium of the oligopolistic model is evaluated by comparison with that of a perfect competition model from the viewpoint of a market power. Simulation results show some parameters have an influence on the market power of an electricity market including a hydro generator.

Market price and curtailment amounts of the Demand Resource Market(DRM) are determined by competition between electricity consumers. An important aspect of the DRM involves the assessment of strategic behavior of participants for maximizing their profits. This paper presents economic equilibrium models for simulating imperfect competition among electricity consumers in the DRM and analyzes the models at Nash Equilibrium of Game Theory. The proposed demand functions and supply functions of DRM are based on the Demand Resource Market Rules in Korean electricity market. Simulation results show that the models are adequate for obtaining Nash Equilibrium of consumers' competitive curtailment.

전력 거래 체제에 관한 기존의 연구들은 분석의 편의를 위해 복잡한 전력 시스템을 너무 단순화하여 현실성을 좀더 반영해야 할 필요가 있었다. 본 논문에서는 양방향 입찰의 전력 도매 경쟁 시장에서 선도 계약 시장의 도입과 가격 결정 방식의 변화가 장기적으로 전력 가격의 수준 및 변동성, 그리고 발전 회사들의 이윤과 같은 시장 성과에 미치는 영향에 대해 실제 데이터를 적용한 객체 기반모형 시뮬레이션을 통하여 분석하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 선도 계약 시장이 도입되는 경우 전력 가격은 상승하며 투자가 활발하게 발생하고, 가격결정방식이 단일 가격에서 차별 가격으로 바뀌는 경우 전력 가격과 가격 변동성이 감소하였다.

Combined cycle plants which feature distinct advantages for power generation such as fast response, high efficiency, environmental friendliness, fuel flexiblity represent the majority of new generating plant installations across the globe. Combined cycle plants have different operating modes where the operating parameters can differ greatly depending which mode is operating at the time. This paper addresses the bidding strategy model of combined cycle plants in a competitive electricity market by using a characteristic of multiple operating modes of combined cycle plants. Simulation results of case studies show that an operating mode among multiple ones is selected strategically in generation bidding for more profit of generation company.

Local freight forwarders circles is suffering financially and insecure employment from over competition which caused by a saturated local logistics market. To overcome ongoing slumping business, it is high time that local freight forwarders went to blue ocean global logistics market, emerging UN procurement logistics market. However it is needed to study on method of successful entry, scrutinizing of market status and ensuing supporting measure from government and research institute.

정보통신 기술의 비약적인 발전과 인터넷 이용의 증가로 인하여 전자 상거래 (Electronic Commerce), 그 중에서도 인터넷 경매에 대한 일반인의 관심과 참여가 높아지고 있다. 전통적인 경매에서 시공간의 제약으로 인한 문제점들을 인터넷 경매에서는 누구나 쉽게 경매에 참여하여 경쟁할 수 있도록 개선시켰다. 인터넷 경매에서 구매자가 원하는 상품을 구입하기 위해서는 구입물품의 가격정보, 상품정보 등이 필요하며 이러한 정보를 수집하는데는 많은 시간과 반복된 작업이 필요하다. 따라서 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 구매상품에 대한 상품정보와 적정 낙찰가를 제공하여 구매자가 입찰액을 정하는데 있어서 참고자료로서 활용할 수 있으며 부적당한 가격에 상품을 구매하거나 경매가 유찰되는 것을 피할 수 있어서 보다 효율적인 경매를 할 수 있도록 도와준다. 본 논문은 기존의 단순한 가격 정책에서 벗어나 사례베이스를 활용하여 실시간 상품의 특성에 따라 다양하게 적정낙찰가를 제시하는 적정낙찰가 추천 시스템을 설계하였으며, 몇 가지 사례를 구현을 통해 적정낙찰가를 제시하는 과정을 보여준다.

As deregulation evolves, pricing electricity becomes a major issue in the electric industry. Participants of competitive marketplace are able to improve their profits substantially by adequately pricing the electricity. In this paper, game theory is applied to analyze the price-clearing in the generation bidding competition and the competition is modeled as the noncooperative and complete information. The result of this analysis can be useful in understanding spot price-clearing of electricity and generating entity's strategic behavior in the competitive electricity market.
