Purpose : The purpose of this study was to survey the present status of the regional oral health centers for the disabled. Material and methods : Face to face interviews with oral healthcare professionals in eight regional oral health centers and literature reviews were conducted among eight regional oral health centers for the disabled during 2, July to 30, August 2017. Results : It is necessary to establish more regional oral health centers for the disabled in area where the number of disabled person as percentage of whole region population is high. Also, all the centers appeared a lack of professional manpower including dentist, dental hygienist and anesthesiologist, equipment and facilities for the demands of patients and their guardians. It is essential for the government to improve the support system to regional oral health centers for the disabled. Conclusions : This study can be used as a reference for the countermeasure to make a new policy and activate the accessibility of dental care services in the public for the disabled.

한국농촌경제연구원(원장 최세균) 주최로 1월 22일 잠실 롯데호델에서 제17회 '농업전망 2014'대회가 개최되어 '농업 농촌의 새로운 도전과 미래'라는 대주제를 통해 농업 농촌이 나아가야할 새로운 도전의 길과 새로운 비전을 제시했다. 세부주제에서는 농축산물과 산림에 대한 장단기 수급 및 가격을 전망하고 글로벌시대의 대응방안, 수급인정, 소득인정 등 정책 이슈에 대한 논의를 가졌다. 우리협회에서는 최근 발생한 조류인플루엔자(AI) 확산 우려로 인해 부득이하게 경북과 전북 대회가 연기 및 취소되어 회원들에게 알려드리기 위해 요약본을 게재하였다.

전자신문과 벤처기업협회가 공동 주최하고 매일경제TV가 후원하는‘제5차 벤처CEO포럼’이 지난 20일 한국기술센터 대회의실에서 열렸다. 이번 포럼은‘벤처기업의 정체성 형성과 혁신’이라는 주제로 조직사회학적인 관점에서의 벤처의 정체성과 문화에 관한 연구결과를 서울대 장덕진 교수, 연세대 박찬웅 교수, 연세대 한준 교수 등 3명의 연구진이 발표했다. 뒤이어 경북대 이장우 교수의 사회로 비트컴퓨터 조현정 대표, 조선일보 우병현 기자, 서울시립대 이춘우 교수, 일신창투 고정석 대표가 패널로 참가해 열띤 토론을 벌였다

한국건강관리협회 경상북도지부가 낙도주민 건강관리를 위한 무료검진을 실시했다. 건협 창립 30주년 기념사업의 일환으로 울릉군과 협조하여 울릉군내 50~59세 영세민을 대상으로 실시한 이 무료검진사업은 지난 9월 27일부터 10월 1일까지 군내 보건지소, 진료소를 순회하면서 실시되었다. 이와 더불어 주민건강검사, 학생건강검사, 근로자 건강진단등도 함께 실시해 모두 880여명의 울릉도민이 이 기간동안 건강검사를 받았다. 바쁜 일정이었지만 주민건강관리에 조금이라도 더 보탬이 되기를 바라는 건협 경북지부 검사팀의 마음이 울릉도를 훈훈하고 건강한 섬으로 만들기에 충분했다.

Chronic orofacial pain is an umbrella term as a kind of painful regional syndromes to describe unremitting and prolonged pains in orofacial area. It is frequently characterized with the intractable pain without the proportionally corresponding tissue pathology over 3 months. Accordingly, it is difficult or almost impossible to establish the causally oriented treatment strategies in those cases, while multidisciplinary approaches were usually considered for preventing prolonged pain conditions from limiting daily life. Among a variety of approaches, pharmacological approach was clinically based on proper applications of several groups of drugs useful to relieve or alleviate pain. These drugs usually encompass several analgesics, muscle relaxants, anti-depressants, anticonvulsants and so on. Therefore, it is essential for dental clinician to be aware of the many peculiarities of these medications applied for management of chronic orofacial pain disorders. This review focused on the clinical considerations for the careful drug selection and application including dosages and adverse drug reactions.

중국 동북부와 일본 혼슈 및 한국에 주로 분포하는 동아시아종으로서 우리나라에서는 해안가를 중심으로 전남 완도와 충남 안면도, 경기 백령도, 경남 등 도서지방과 경북 포항부근 등에 작은 집단을 이루며 분포하는 희귀식물이다. 과거에는 자생지가 잘 알려지지 않아 천연기념물로 지정된 안면도 모감주나무 군락에 대해 원산지 논란이 일기도 했었다.(중략)

이 글은 필자가 1988년 5월초 조국을 방문하였을때 성균관대학교를 비롯하여 서울여자대학에서 개최된 문헌정보학회 모임, 부산여자대학, 경북대학교 및 국회도서관에서 실시한 세미나의 내용을 보충하여 간추린 것이다. 이 글의 내용은 필자가 1980년과 1981년에 걸쳐 인디아나주의 여러 공공도서관을 이용하는 사람들 8,000명을 대상으로 설문조사하여 분석 연구한 결과를 근거로 하였다.

낙동강 1,300리. 이렇게 써 놓고 보니 그 거리가 쉽게 가늠이 되지 않는다. 낙동강은 강원도 태백시 함백산에서 발원해 경북 내륙 지방(봉화, 안동)을 거쳐 영남땅(밀양, 부산)을 관통, 남해로 흘러가는 총 연장 521.5㎞의 남한에서 가장 긴 강이다. 그런 만큼 강에 얽힌 사연도 가지가지이고 그 모습 또한 유장하기 이를 데 없다. 한민족의 역사를 오롯이 담은 강인 것이다.
