Autonomously replicating sequence Binding Factor 1(ABF1) is a DNA-binding protein that specifically recognizes the $RTCRYN_5ACG$ at many sites in the yeast genome including the promoter element, mating-type silencer and ARS. To express the intact full-length ABF1 gene in E. coli, the ABF1 gene has been cloned into pMAL-c2 and His-61, Leu-353 and Leu-360 were substituted with other amino acid. ABF1 fusion proteins of wild type ABF1 and H61A, L353R and L360R nutants were purified by amylose resin affinity chromatography. Fusion protein of MBP and ABF1 was digested by Factor Xa and Characterized by gel retardation assay and complementation test. As aresult, we suggested that other DNA binding motif except atypical inc-finger motif is in the middle region of ABF1.

The characteristics of the Asian summer monsoon have been investigated for the periods of 1993/1994, the contrasting years in a view of the summer monsoon precipitation. In order to investigate the monsoon features over the eastern Asian monsoon region, the cloudiness(using the extensive data derived by the geostationary meteorological satellite), the condition of underlying surface including sea-surface temperature, and the summer rainfall are analyzed and some comparisons with 1993 and 1994 are also made and the characteristic differences are discussed. An analysis of the 2-degree latitude-longitude gridded 5-day mean high cloud amount data shows the detailed movement and persistence of the convective activities. In order to describe the spatial and temporal structures of the intraseasonal oscillation for the movement and evolution of the monsoon cloud, the extended empirical orthogonal fnction analysis with the twenty-day window size is used for the each year. Also, in order to find out the periodicity of the equatorial convective cluster, Fourier harmonic analysis is applied to the each year. The most prevailing intraseasonal oscillations of high cloud amount are 61 day mode and 15day mode in the equatorial and the subtropical oceans. However it was found that the most prevailing modes over the equatorial western Pacific and Indian Ocean were different for each year, hence raising the possibillity that the contrasting monsoon presipitation may be more fundamentally related to the interaction of intraseasonal oscillations and seasonal variation of convective activities over the lower latitude ocean.

This study is aimed to improve the youth theft prevention program with rationality and practicality, based on the needs of practitioners who conduct these programs in fields. The survey questionnaire was prepared based on previous researches, and the survey was conducted on 72 probation officers and education instructors nationwide running a youth theft prevention program. As a result, practitioners reported the lack of self-control and high impulsivity as the main characteristics of the theft delinquent adolescents. And they recognized peer alignment and family problems as the causes of theft. As for the contents of the program, they reported that recidivism prevention skills such as understanding psychological problems, peer relationships, raising a sense of law compliance, anger, impulse control, dealing with negative emotions, and finding alternative behaviors, as well as moral development, are necessary. These results indicate that multi-dimensional interventions such as individuals, families, and peers are needed to prevent recidivism of juvenile theft. Implications of these results, future research directions, and limitations and significance of the study were discussed.

Study Design: Case report Objectives: To document fistula formation between the disc and dura by an unrecognized dural tear after percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PELD). Summary of Literature Review: The risk of durotomy is relatively low with PELD, but cases of unrecognized durotomies have been reported. An effective diagnostic tool for such situations has not yet been identified. Materials and Methods: A patient twice underwent transforaminal PELD under the diagnosis of a herniated lumbar disc at L4-5. She still complained of intractable pain and motor weakness around the left lower extremity at 6 months postoperatively. Magnetic resonance imaging showed no specific findings suggestive of violation of the nerve root. However, L5 and S1 nerve root injury was noted on electromyography. An exploratory operation was planned to characterize damage to the neural structures. Results: In the exploration, a dural tear was found at the previous operative site, along with a fistula between the disc and dura was also found at the dural tear site. The durotomy site was located on the ventrolateral side of the dura and measured approximately 5 mm. The durotomy site was repaired with Nylon 5-0 and adhesive sealants. The patient's preoperative symptoms diminished considerably. Conclusions: Fistula formation between the disc and dura can be caused by an unrecognized dural tear after PELD. Discography is a reliable diagnostic tool for fistulas formed by an unrecognized durotomy.

This thesis is performed to suggest an objective and effective optimization plan of appraisal for archival values. Even though saving all of archives and records and passing them to descendants would be a strong preservation method, but preservation expenses cannot be ignored. Additionally the appraisal for archives is completed by selecting and preserving high-value records, preserving all of records seems not to be effective. In this aspects archivists have tried to find the appraisal standard to ensure the objectivity of it, however, existing studies cannot bring out positive method because of focusing on analyzing only theoretical analysis on appraisal. This study divides appraisal for archives in 3 steps; inquiry for the records creators, appraisal of archivists, appraisal of appraisal experts, and suggests the standard to increase objectivity and confidency of appraisal. The optimization plan of appraisal for archival values with the results of this thesis would influence on the revitalization of reappraisal for the archives in repository and archive of Korea.

Much research has been made for finding new and eco-friendly alternative sources of energy to solve the problems related with the pollution caused by emissions of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide as the use of fossil fuels increases worldwide. Among them, fuel cells draws particular interests as an eco-friendly energy generator because only water is obtained as a by-product. Anion exchange membrane-based alkaline fuel cell (AEMFC) that uses anion exchange membrane as an electrolyte is of increased interest recently because of its advantages in using low-cost metal catalyst unlike the PEMFC (potton exchange membrane fuel cell) due to the high-catalyst activity in alkaline conditions. The main properties required as an anion exchange membrane are high hydroxide conductivity and chemical stability at high pH. Recently we reported a chemically crosslinked poly(2-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) (PPO) by reacting PPO with N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl-1,6-hexanediamine as novel anion exchange membranes. In the current work, we further developed the same crosslinked polymer but having enhanced physicochemical properties, including higher conductivity, increased mechanical and dimensional stabilities by using the PPO with a higher molecular weight and also by increasing the crosslinking density. The obtained polymer membrane also showed a good cell performance.

A class imbalance problem arises when one class outnumbers the other class by a large proportion in binary data. Studies such as transforming the learning data have been conducted to solve this imbalance problem. In this study, we compared resampling methods among methods to deal with an imbalance in the classification problem. We sought to find a way to more effectively detect the minority class in the data. Through simulation, a total of 20 methods of over-sampling, under-sampling, and combined method of over- and under-sampling were compared. The logistic regression, support vector machine, and random forest models, which are commonly used in classification problems, were used as classifiers. The simulation results showed that the random under sampling (RUS) method had the highest sensitivity with an accuracy over 0.5. The next most sensitive method was an over-sampling adaptive synthetic sampling approach. This revealed that the RUS method was suitable for finding minority class values. The results of applying to some real data sets were similar to those of the simulation.

The purpose of this study is to find a way for social welfare organizations to actively cope with environmental changes such as the corona incident according to the work coordination theory that work performance improves when actively coping with environmental changes. In other words, the mediating effect of member agility in the relationship that participatory decision-making affects job performance was identified. The subjects of the survey were workers in welfare centers in the metropolitan area and Chungcheong area, and 310 questionnaires were analyzed, and confirmatory factor analysis, research model analysis, and mediation effect verification were conducted to verify the hypothesis. As a result of the study, participatory decision-making had a significant positive effect on member agility and job performance. In addition, it was confirmed that the partial mediation model including the path that participatory decision-making directly affects job performance and the indirect effect that is linked to job performance after first affecting the agility of members is appropriate. The study has academic significance in that it verifies the effect of participatory decision-making and agility necessary for social welfare organizations, and suggests ways to improve participatory decision-making and agility in hiring, evaluation, and education of employees in social welfare organizations. In this respect, significance can also be found in practical terms.

Lee Byeong-hun was introduced to Hanjuhak when he was taught by Myeonwoo Gwak Jong-seok. It is assumed that Hanjuhak circles had a certain influence on formation of his ideas in that they had liberal tendency at that time. Lee Byeong-hun accepted Geummungyonghak developed by Gang Yu-wee of China and participated in Confucian Science Movement while excluding Confucianism. After he accepted western civilization and the ideas of Gang Yu-wee, no traces of Hanjuhak was found in his writing, but it is assumed that Hanjuhak might work as a nutritious element for his ideas. He thought that religious nature of Confucianism could be revived only when he left Neo-confucianism which changed Confucianism into a philosophy by insisting reason instead of God. So, he respected Confucius as a religious founder and left such concepts as reason and respect which were considered important in Neo-confucianism and valued disposition and faith in "Jungyong", a doctrine of the Mean. He considered Confucianism as religious and joined in religious practices such as praying and reciting scriptures. He insisted that filial piety indicates a filial son of the Heaven when interpreting the following passage: Shun (Chinese leader) is a filial duty, which is assumed that he was influenced by Christianity. He respected Confucius as the only religious founder and God as the God to make Confucianism a religion. It is believed that he considered only Confucius as a founder instead of traditional Confucian sages as religion such as Buddhism and Christianity has one founder. God he thought is related with the God in Christianity and furthermore accepted reincarnation of Buddhism which is contrary to Confucian ideas. According to "Gyeongseol" by Lee Byeong-hun, it was believed that he was engaged in religion based on a faith that Confucianism is a religion rather than he pursued Confucianism as a religion to find out a way of its survival.

Ad hoc network is the network which can be considered without a pre-constructed infrastructure, and a mobile node can join the network freely. However, the participation of the mobile nodes to the ad hoc network brings up much burden of re-computation for new routes, because it leads to losing the connection frequently. And, also, it causes serious security problem to be broadcasted wrong information by the malicious user. Therefore, it needs authentication against the mobile nodes. To make that Possible, we have two methods: single CA and distributed CA. In the case of CA method, the wireless network can be collapsed owing to expose the CA, but still the distributed CA method is a little more safe than previous one because it needs attacks toward a lot of CAs to collapse the network We can consider Secret Share scheme as the method that constructs the distributed CA system, but it is weak when the network size is too large. In this paper, we suggest hierarchical structure for the authentication method to solve this problem, and we will show the results of simulation for this suggestion.
