Design and Implementation of Space Time Point for Real-time Public Transportation Route Guidance (실시간 대중교통 경로안내를 위한 Space Time Point 모델의 설계와 구현)

  • Recent environmental concerns have made interest in environment-friendly transportation means such as walking, biking, and public transportation. However, since it is difficult to move long distance by walking or biking, their scope of application is rather limited. On the other hand, public transportation can solve traffic congestion, a recent social issue, though its usability may depend on its time schedule. Currently available information services on public transportation in the Web do not reflect well such traits of the public transportation; thus, in some cases, they may provide wrong information to end users. To solve such problems and provide information based on timetable of public transportations, this paper proposes a STP(Space Time Point) data model. Unlike existing space-time data models, this model recognizes the bottommost element of an object as a point and structures these points in hierarchical way to define an object. In particular, It can make it possible to implement a variety of dynamic spatial objects changing object information according to time. An objective of this study is to design a STP model for bus and subway based on timetables of public transportation in Daejeon area and builds a system to provide path navigation. With the designed navigation function, a path from the Daejeon National Cemetery to Hannam University was searched by time slot. The result showed that the system provided different paths by time, as the system guided different paths when bus operation was limited in midnight. As existing data model could not provide such results, it is confirmed that the system can provide path navigation based on real-time traffic information. It is expected that based on such functionality, it is possible to provide additional functionalities by applying diverse data models such as real-time transport information or traffic history information.

  • 최근 사회 전반적으로 빅데이터가 주목 받고 있다. 기존 대중교통 안내 어플리케이션의 경우 현재 교통정보를 기준으로 추천하기 때문에 실제로는 최적의 경로가 아닌 경로가 추천될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 빅데이터 분석을 통한 실시간 최적 교통 경로 안내 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 설계한 시스템은 과거 교통 정보를 분석하여 각 경로들의 교통상황을 예측하여 경로 이동 계획을 설정해준다. 또한 중간에 교통상황이 급변하여 경로를 수정해야할 필요가 있을 때 사용자에게 알림을 주고 그에 대한 조치를 취할 수 있도록 지원한다.

A Study on Road Network Modeling over POI for Pedestrian Navigation Services in Smart Phones (스마트폰에서 보행자 길안내 서비스를 위한 관심지점 기반 도로 네트워크 모델링 연구)

  • Recently, the wide spread popularity of smart phones causes the advent of various mobile applications base on the location information. Since previous pedestrian navigations are applied by extending car navigations, these are not only difficult to provide the appropriate route information, but also raise limitations in the efficient query processing by data structures of car road networks. In addition, these increase the power consumption caused by the growth of I/O frequency. In this paper, we propose a pedestrian road network model for the accurate route information and a storage structure for the pedestrian road network based on POI to reduce the I/O frequency. The proposed method enables efficient route searches over POI reflecting the characteristics and requirements of pedestrian roads. Also, a reduction of query processing costs for the route searching by a data structure considered with POI can save the power consumption more than previous approaches.

  • Recently, analysis techniques to extract new meanings using big data analysis and various services using these analysis techniques have been developed. Among them, the transport is one of the most important areas that can be utilized about big data. However, the existing traffic route guidance system can not recommend the optimal traffic route because they use only the traffic information when the user search the route. In this paper, we propose a realtime optimal traffic route guidance system using big data analysis. The proposed system considers the realtime traffic information and results of big data analysis using historical traffic data. And, the proposed system show the warning message to the user when the user need to change the traffic route.

  • Recently route guiding system using GPS is spread widely. In the parking management system of complex mall, RFID is mainly used to control status of parking lots. However, in a case that a vehicle only with RFID tag enters into small market-populated district with service of parking lots, there is no parking route guiding system optimized with information of real tine status of parking lots and the system only with GPS can't provide a function of using real time status of parking lots. This paper proposes a location recognizing method of RFID tag object for parking control system to integrated several parking lots in the business district and database-linked route guiding system optimized for parking. The proposed location recognizing method makes the search of optimized parking route possible by abstracting decoding order of tag and antenna number and recognizing direction of tag linked with database. Ihe implemented system that is composed of RFID tag, reader, middleware, server, parking lot clients and mobile clients shows that the proposed method works well and it will be useful for integrated parking control system.

  • A car became that is essential already, and enjoy convenient benefit still more according as car skill is developed in modern's life. But, threaded other additional systems to use a car little more conveniently and representative thing is Navigation. Current Navigation system is not escaping greatly in mechanical system that do only unilateral guidance. Wish to propose about intelligence style Navigation that foretell driver's inclination and guide correct route to him because this treatise takes advantage of fuzzy logic. Verify algorithm that propose oriented Navigation algorithm the future that do path guidance by user's inclination within extent that do not escape greatly in most important final cause fast path proposition of Navigation and is proposed through an experiment.

  • 다중 이용시설, 학교, 주택 등 사람이 많이 이용하는 곳은 화재 발생 빈도가 높을 뿐만 아니라 대피하기가 어렵고, 기존의 비상등 표시 방법, 일회성 대피 안내 등으로 인해 화재 상황의 다양한 변수에 효과적으로 대처하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 트윈(Digital Twin) 기술을 기반으로 다양한 센서를 통해 인식된 화재 요소를 반영한 화재 대응 및 피난 시뮬레이션(Fire Dynamic Simulator & Pathfinder)을 통해 안전한 대피 경로를 도출하여 안내하는 시스템을 설계한다. 제시하는 방법은 화재 상황에 능동적으로 대처하기 위해 실시간 인원변동 및 변화하는 화재변수에 대비 할 수 있으며, 상황에 따른 적극적인 대피 훈련과 실제 상황에서의 긴급한 상황에서의 대피경로 도출과 안내에 활용할 수 있다.

  • Recently car navigation systems which are widely spreaded and provide routes exactly have been evolved. The systems use various information and techniques as follows. In order to provide shortest path with good flow, realtime traffic information provided by DMB is used. Augmented reality technique is also introduced to give the sense of real to driver by displaying real images captured by camera during driving. But these operate well when the GPS receives data normally. Exact information about the position of vehicles becomes a base that supports the above function with realities. This paper proposes a method for compensating a given path. It uses various information by integrated vehicle networks when the GPS does not operates normally.

Estimation of Willingness to pay for Realtime Route Guidance Information by Contingent Valuation Method (조건부가치측정법(CVM)을 이용한 실시간 경로안내시스템의 지불의사액 산정)

  • This study proposes an estimate method of willingness to pay(WTP) for real-time route guidance systems using contingent valuation method(CVM) under double bounded dichotomous choice question(DBDCQ) and analysis for impact factors of WTP estimation. This study assumed that provided real-time traffic information service is optimal route concepts dealing with traffic conditions on origin-destination. Analysis targets were classified into two groups as short distance path and middle distance path for estimating WTP for realtime route guidance system in a year using the survival analysis method and the regression model with personal information, actual condition and satisfaction of information usage and users' awareness and usage of facilities. As a result, mean WTP of realtime route guidance system is 4,034won/year in short distance path, and 4,884won/year in middle distance path. Therefore real-time route guidance system for longer distance path is recognized as more valuable than shorter distance path. Moreover, the necessity of information was required on a higher income group and higher WTP was estimated on owners of vehicle group and lower awareness of a route group.

  • Our society is rapidly changing, and there is a growing demand for various convenience services in our daily lives. Among these services, railway and subway stations require tailored wayfinding services to accommodate individuals with disabilities. Currently, signage and information desks are the primary means of navigation. However, individuals with disabilities often rely on assistance from others due to physical discomfort or cognitive impairments. In this paper, we propose a customized wayfinding system within railway stations to assist individuals with disabilities. This system aims to ensure safe and convenient mobility in complex indoor environments, including transfer facilities.
