Modeling and Simulation of Ontology-based Path Finding in War-game Simulation (워게임 시뮬레이션에서 온톨로지 기반의 경로탐색 모델링 및 시뮬레이션)

  • War-game simulation models the situation of a battlefield and has been used for evaluating fighting power and analyzing the occupation of a troop. However, in war-game simulation environment, it is very complex to consider all factors which can be influenced in real battlefields. To solve the problem of the consideration, we propose an ontology-based path finding model. This model uses an ontology to conceptualize the situation data of a battlefield and represents the relations among the concepts. In addition, we extract new knowledge from the war-game ontology by defining some inference rules and share knowledge by the established rules. For the performance evaluation of the proposed model, we made a limitation on the simulation environment and measure the moving time of a troop, the fighting capability of a troop, and the necessary cost while a troop is moving. Experimental results show that this model provides many advantages in aspects of the moving time, a loss of fighting capability, and the necessary cost.

Localized Path Selection Algorithm for Energy Efficiency and Prolonging Lifetime in Ad-Hoc Networks (에드 혹 네트워크에서 에너지 효율성과 네트워크 수명 연장을 위한 지역적 경로 선택 알고리즘)

  • In ad-hoc network, the technique to efficiently consume the limited amounts of energy is an important issue since the wireless terminal node is operated on batteries as their energy resource. In order to extend the system lifetime, through a balanced energy consumption, we must delay the situation in which a particular terminal node's energy is depleted and results in system disconnection. Also, the link, which has low reliability due to the mobility of the node, should be avoided considering the key element when setting up the route. The proposed CMLR method in this paper enables to increase the efficiency of energy consumption with a new cost function considering the residue energy of node, error rate of link, and transmission energy consumption. This method is extending the network lifetime and increasing the energy efficiency by compromising the value between the minimization of the transmission energy consumption and maximization of the node's lifetime. Through the simulations the proposed CMLR algorithm was verified by showing better performance over the conventional methods in terms of network lifetime and path efficiency.

  • Concrete Pavement Cutting Operation have Labor-intensive features. And Cutting Operation quality and productivity is influenced by operator's experience. Moreover Workers have risk of safety concerns. Therefore we need Concrete Pavement Cutting Operation automation system and system support software development on the economics. First of all we have to develop driving Path Planning for Concrete Pavement Cutting automation system. If result of Path Planning connect with automation system, Weak points is a complement to the existing Path Planning and we can obtain effective automation system. Consequently this paper suggest method of Autonomous Driving Path Planning for Concrete Pavement Cutting Operation And the Path Planning system application.

Efficient Sketch Map Representation in Mobile Environment (모바일 환경에서 효율적인 약도 표현 방법)

  • In the mobile phone map service there are some restrictions of resolutions and process in terminals. So providing a sketch map is very efficient. This simplifies the map data and increases the understanding of the user. This sketched map marks the starting point and ending point. Then simplifies the surroundings like important roads or building so the user can find his/her way easily. First of all this sketch map service needs a method to simplify the route between starting point and ending point and the surroundings. After that it needs to make the simplified data into a sketch map and suitable to the terminal's resolution. To solve these problems this paper proposes a new method to manifest a sketch map efficiently through a mobile phone. The method, introduced in this paper, is surveyed to have a higher efficiency in data usage compared to the current services available in the market. And also it is examined to have a clear vision in process and easily understandable.

Factors Influencing Turnover Intention in Clinical Nurses: Affective Events, Affect, and Job Satisfaction (임상간호사의 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 요인: 정서사건, 정서, 직무만족)

  • This research was conducted to investigate the influence of affective events, affect, and job satisfaction on clinical nurse's turnover intention and to provide guidelines for interventions and strategies to decrease turnover intention. The participants consisted of 296 nurses recruited from three general hospitals in South Korea. Data was collected by a structured self-report questionnaire, and were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. The final path model was a good fit for the data based on the model fit indices. In the path analysis, positive events, negative events, positive affect, negative affect, and job satisfaction had statistically significant effects on turnover intention, explaining 37.0% of the variance. This research provided evidence identifying factors influencing turnover intention in clinical nurses. Therefore, findings from this research can be used to design appropriate strategies to decrease the clinical nurse's turnover intention.

Analysis of Reliability of Weather Fields for Typhoon Sanba (1216) (태풍 기상장의 신뢰도 분석: 태풍 산바(1216))

  • Numerical simulations of the storm surge and the wave induced by the Typhoon Sanba incident on the south coast of Korea in 2012 are conducted using the JMA-MSM forecast weather field, NCEP-CFSR reanalysis weather field, ECMWF-ERA5 reanalysis weather field, and the pressure and wind fields obtained using the best track information provided by JTWC. The calculated surge heights are compared with the time history observed at harbors along the coasts of Korea. For the waves the calculated significant wave heights are compared with the data measured using the wave buoys and the underwater pressure type wave gauge. As a result the JMA-MSM and the NCEP-CFSR weather fields give the highest reliability. The ECMWF-ERA5 gives in general surge and wave heights weaker than the measured. The ECMWF-ERA5, however, reproduces the best convergence belt formed in front of the typhoon. The weather field obtained using JTWC best track information gives the worst agreement.

Efficient Linear Path Query Processing using Information Retrieval Techniques for Large-Scale Heterogeneous XML Documents (정보 검색 기술을 이용한 대규모 이질적인 XML 문서에 대한 효율적인 선형 경로 질의 처리)

  • We propose XIR-Linear, a novel method for processing partial match queries on large-scale heterogeneous XML documents using information retrieval (IR) techniques. XPath queries are written in path expressions on a tree structure representing an XML document. An XPath query in its major form is a partial match query. The objective of XIR-Linear is to efficiently support this type of queries for large-scale documents of heterogeneous schemas. XIR-Linear has its basis on the schema-level methods using relational tables and drastically improves their efficiency and scalability using an inverted index technique. The method indexes the labels in label paths as key words in texts, and allows for finding the label paths that match the queries far more efficiently than string match used in conventional methods. We demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of XIR-Linear by comparing it with XRel and XParent using XML documents crawled from the Internet. The results show that XIR-Linear is more efficient than both XRel and XParent by several orders of magnitude for linear path expressions as the number of XML documents increases.

Measurement of 18GHz Radio Propagation Characteristics in Subway Tunnel for Train-Wayside Multimedia Transmission (지하철 터널에서의 18GHz 무선영상신호 전파특성 측정)

  • This paper presents an experimental study on the radio propagation characteristics in subway tunnel at 18GHz frequency band which has been assigned to video transmission between train and wayside. The radio propagation tests are carried out in the subway tunnel of Seoul Metro using the antenna and communication devices of the prototype video transmission system. The measurement results show that 18GHz radio propagation in subway tunnel has smaller path loss than that of general outdoor radio environment. It is also cleared that the arch-type tunnels have smaller radio propagation losses than rectangular tunnels, and single track tunnels have smaller pass loss than double track tunnels. From the measurements, the radio propagation coverage is worked out as 520 meters. The curved tunnels which cannot have LOS communication between transmitter and receiver have large pass losses and fluctuation profile along distance. The radio propagation coverage along curved tunnels is worked out as 300 meters. These investigation results can be used to design the 18GHz radio transmission system for subway tunnel by providing the optimized wayside transmitter locations and handover algorithm customized to the radio propagation characteristics in subway tunnels.

A Study on the Reaction Pathway for Isomerization of Tetrahydrotricyclopentadiene Using Ionic Liquid Catalyst (이온성 액체 촉매를 이용한 Tetrahydrotricyclopentadiene의 이성화 반응 경로에 관한 연구)

  • The kinetic behavior of tetrahydrotricyclopentadiene (THTCPD) isomerization was studied by using two kinds of chloroaluminate ionic liquid (IL) catalyst with different Lewis acidity. THTCPD isomerization pathway was discussed under the different temperature and time as reaction parameters using IL catalysts consisting of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolun chloride $(BMIC)/AlCl_3$ with low acidity and pyridine hydrochloride $(PHC)/AlCl_3$ with high acidity. The conversion of THTCPD isomerization increased with increasing Lewis acidity of IL catalyst. The THTCPD isomerization pathway changed as a function of reaction temperature and catalyst acidity. In the case of $BMIC/AlCl_3$ IL catalyst, THTCPD isomerization pathway was similar to that of using conventional $AlCl_3$ catalyst. However, two different types of additional pathways (endo, exo, endo-NB ${\rightarrow}$ exo, exo, endo-NB ${\rightarrow}$ exo, exo, exo-NB and endo, exo, endo-NB ${\rightarrow}$ exo, exo, endo-NB ${\rightarrow}$ exo, exo, exo-CP) were appeared when using $PHC/AlCl_3$ IL catalyst.

  • RYUTSUKEIRETSUKA(Vertical Marketing System) developed by the Japanese Leading Manufacturers began to turn weak with the presence of the large- scaled retail enterprises since 1980’s. Therefore the alliances between major manufacturers & large distributors that were in the conflict relations for a long time began to progress. In accordance with this change in the distribution channel practice, the stance of the distribution channel theory in Japan had also changed. As the normative researcher group who had been critical to RYUTSUKEIRETSUKA and sympathetic to the task of merchant judged that it would disappear sooner or later, they considered positively the alliances between major manufacturers & large distributors which the latter were in dominant position. On the other hand, even the empirical researchers who supported the affirmative function of RYUTSUKEIRETSUKA changed their standpoint. They recognized the new channel practice, in other words the vertical alliances between the power companies, would be the frontier of research in accordance with the impetus of positivism in terms of the Marketing methodology. Thus, researchers of distribution channel theory in Japan who supported the normative approach become few and even changed to hurry to absorb in the empirical research, while moving the main focus of the research from RYUTSUKEIRETSUKA to the Alliances. In the long run, the distribution channel theory which was regarded as the leading principle of the Japanese Marketing has just made the methodological paradigm shift. The author suggests a critical viewpoint against the current Japan’s academism with the assumption that RYUTSUKEIRETSUKA has negative aspects.
