  • 미래 육군의 대대급이하 NCW 핵심은 기반통신장비인 TMMR(Tactical Multi Function Terminal)과 전투지휘를 위한 전장단말기인 대대급이하 전투지휘체계(B2CS)로 대표할 수 있다. 이중 TMMR은 음성과 데이터 통신이 가능토록 개발중인 무전기이다. 하지만, 군 무전기 특성상 은 엄폐 지역에서의 통신 보장을 위해 낮은 주파수 대역을 사용함에 따라 최대 지원 가능한 전송속도는 매우 한정적이다. 따라서 TMMR을 기반 통신장비로 활용하는 B2CS는 이 낮은 대역폭을 어떻게 효율적으로 사용할 것인가가 핵심이다. 따라서 본고에서는 이를 위해 군 운용환경에서의 TMMR 기반하 B2CS 운용 시 필요한 TMMR의 요구대역폭을 분석, 데이터 경량화 설계가 필요함을 확인하고, 이에 따른 B2CS에서 적용하고 있는 데이터 경량화 설계 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

A Study on the System Design for Deep-Space Probe Reference Model (표준 심우주 탐사선 시스템 설계 연구)

  • In order for a latecomer in deep-space exploration such as Korea to quickly keep pace with advanced deep-space exploration countries in the mutually-beneficial space exploration market, it is essential to derive a deep-space probe reference model that can reduce development period and cost. In this paper, concept and configuration for the deep-space probe reference model consisting of basic, lightweight, and expansion types are newly presented, which are based on commonly required designs for various deep-space probes. The proposed configuration adopts modular design so that the expandability and design/implementation efficiency are improved. In addition, the electrical system design pursuing lightweight and expandability is also described, which is applicable to the proposed three-types of deep-space probe reference model.

  • This paper aims to design and realize movie reservation system based EJB 3.0 enterprise for standardization. Non EJB and the EJB architecture to resolve the problem with benefits to support the new architecture is a lightweight container architecture. This architecture, such as the EJB, but not heavy, to provide all of the architecture is possible. The lightweight container architecture is most often used in business EJB 3.0 is well-known architecture. Therefore, this research has the Non EJB and the EJB to solve the advantages and disadvantages developed to support the latest EJB 3.0 architecture based on the design and implementation of a movie reservation system.

  • In this study, we perform the weight reduction and miniaturization of the shielding element that is applied for gamma-ray detectors for imaging of gamma-ray source. Through previous studies, we implemented a lead-based shielding element that represents the shielding effectiveness and performance of commercially available gamma-ray imaging apparatus similar to the shielding body. In this paper, we designed a tungsten-based shield for weight reduction and miniaturization than lead-based shield. We performed the MCNP simulation for shield design and then we obtained the results of reducing the weight of the 17% and 51% of the volume.

Mix Design Procedure of Structural Concrete Using Artificial Lightweight Aggregates Produced from Bottom Ash and Dredged Soils (바텀애시 및 준설토 기반의 인공 경량골재를 활용한 구조용 콘크리트의 배합설계 절차)

  • The objective of this study is to propose a reliable mixing design procedure of concrete using artificial lightweight aggregate produced from expanded bottom ash and dredged soil. Based on test results obtained from 25 mixes, empirical equations to determine water-to-cement ratio, unit cement content, and replacement level of lightweight fine aggregates were formulated with regard to the targeted performance (compressive strength, dry density, initial slump, and air content) of lightweight aggregate concrete. From the proposed equations and absolute volume mixing concept, unit weight of each ingredient was calculated. The proposed mix design procedure limits the fine aggregate-to-total aggregate ratio by considering the replacement level of lightweight fine aggregates, different to previous approach for expanded fly ash and clay-based lightweight aggregate concrete. Thus, it is expected that the proposed procedure is effectively applied for determining the first trial mixing proportions for the designed requirements of concrete.

Optimal Design of Lightweight Frame for Heavy Flat-Bed Trailer by Using Taguchi Method (다구찌기법을 이용한 대형 평판트레일러 하부프레임 경량설계)

  • For achieving economical fuel consumption, an increase in the load bearing capacity, and for environmental conservation, there is a constant demand for lightweight frames of commercial vehicles used in the transportation industry. In this study, a structural analysis of the frame of a heavy flat-bed trailer was performed to determine the optimal design of a new lightweight frame made of high-strength steel. To identify the key design parameters of the trailer frame, Taguchi's orthogonal array was used in the experiments. Using ANSYS, a commercial FEA program, the frame structure was optimized with respect to stress, deflection, and torsional stiffness by performing stress and vibration analyses. A physical model of the trailer was also built to verify the validity of the numerical analyses. Finally, an on-road fatigue test of the new lightweight frame made of the high-strength steel, ATOS80, was performed to confirm the durability of the new design.

  • 이상에서 자동차용 경량재료의 개발동향에 대 해 칸략히 서술하였다. 국내외에서 자동차 경량 화에 적합한 새로운 경량재료개발올 위해 많은 연구가 진행되어 다양한 가능성을 보여주었다. 현재 차동차 경량화에 대한 요구는 펼연적이며, 대체재료에 적합한 재료시스템을 확립하기 위해서는 신소재외 기계적 생질을 비롯한 여러 특성 평가를 위한 공정한 기법을 정립하고 재활용가능성, 설계를 위한 신뢰성 구축 그리고 수급안 정성이 흉족회어야 하며, 또한 특히 기존재료와 비교해서 우수하여야 할 것이다. 이런면에서 국 내의 각 대학, 연구소 및 기업체에서는 경량재료에 대한 연구를 나름대로 충실히 수행하고 있으나, 그 실적은 아직 미미한 상태이며, 장차 보다 훌흉한 연구결과룰 기대하고 이를 바탕으로 세계 자동차분야에서의 경쟁력을 배가시키기 위해서는 범 국가적인 관심과 연구개발투자가 요구한다.

  • In this paper, a method is proposed to evaluate a number of alternatives for light-weight rolling stock recommended from experts in rolling stock and to decide an optimal alternative. At first, many customer needs from various fields in railroad are drawn and weights of customer needs are decided by AHP. Secondly, technical requirements that should be real specifications for light-weight rolling stock are set and weights of technical requirements are decided by QFD. Finally, we evaluate some proposed alternatives and conclude an optimal alternative of light-weight rolling stock with TOPSIS.

  • Many people is studying the embedded system. The embedded system becomes a small size device. The DOM memory is using in the mobile device and small site devices. This paper proposes light-weighted Linux O.S that is running onto the DOM memory. The embedded system with the DOM must have a light-weigthed O.S due to the memory space restriction. This paper designs light-weigthed Linux O.S for the DOM memory. The new designed LILO boot loader boots the new designed light-weigthed Linux O.S as a normal Linux O.S. This paper experiments comparing the designed new light-weigthed Linux O.S with a Linux PC.

Effect of a Lightweight Hull Material and an Electric Propulsion System on Weight Reduction: Application to a 45ft CFRP Electric Yacht (CFRP 선체소재와 전기추진체계가 소형선박의 경량화에 미치는 효과)

  • CFRP is often used as lightweight hull material for luxury yachts or special-service ships. An electric propulsion system is also eco-friendly, and has been trialled to equip a small vessel as its main propulsion. In this study, replacing the hull materials and propulsion system with CFRP and electric motors, we made an estimate of the effect of weight reduction and compared it to the original design, for this purpose a case study was conducted on a 45-ft yacht. When redesigning structures with CFRP, we applied the reinforcement content of the carbon fiber in the same way as the original (GC = 0.4), and when changing to the electric propulsion system, we designed motors and battery packs to achieve the same performance as the original. The result showed that CFRP and the electric propulsion system could make the structural and machinery weights 45 % and 58 % lighter, respectively. However, in terms of efficiency, it was confirmed that the electric propulsion system is practically inefficient because it requires a huge amount of battery packs for the same navigation range with diesel engines.
