Characteristics of Phosphate Flux at the Sediment-water Interface in Gamak Bay during the Hypoxic Water Mass (가막만 빈산소 발생 시 해수-퇴적물 경계면에서 인산염플럭스 특성)

  • The environmental changes related to hypoxic water mass were investigated at Gamak bay in summer times, June, July and August 2006. The hypoxic water mass was found, in first, at the northern area of Gamak bay on 27 June. This water mass has been sustained until the end of August and disappear on 13 September. In Gamak bay, the hypoxic water mass was closely related to geography. During the formation of oxygen deficiency, changes in dissolved nutrients was studied and found that on surface layer and lower layer, DIN were 0.80 ${\mu}M$~19.8 ${\mu}M$(6.03 ${\mu}M$) and 1.13 ${\mu}M$~60.83 ${\mu}M$(10.66 ${\mu}M$), and DIP were 0.01 ${\mu}M$~0.92 ${\mu}M$(0.24 ${\mu}M$), and 0.01 ${\mu}M$~3.57 ${\mu}M$(0.49 ${\mu}M$), respectively, far higher distribution on lower layer of the water where hypoxic water mass was occurred. The configuration of phosphorus was analyzed to figure out the possibility of release of phosphorus from sediments. It was found that the Labile-Phosphorus, which is capable of easy move to water layer by following environmental change was found more than 70%. Therefore, in Gamak bay, it was found that the possibility of large amount of release of soluble P into the water, while hypoxic water mass was occurred in deep layer was higher. It is suggested that DIP in the northern sea of Gamak bay mainly sourced from the soluble P from lower layer of the waters where hypoxic water mass was created more than that from basin. However, existence form of phosphorus in sediments during normal times, not during creation of hypoxic water mass, needs further study.

  • In this paper, a new adaptive vertex clustering using a KD-tree is presented for 3D mesh partitioning. A vertex clustering is used to divide a huge 3D mesh into several partitions for various mesh processing. An octree-based clustering and K-means clustering are currently leading techniques. However, the octree-based methods practice uniform space divisions and so each partitioned mesh has non-uniformly distributed number of vertices and the difference in its size. The K-means clustering produces uniformly partitioned meshes but takes much time due to many repetitions and optimizations. Therefore, we propose to use a KD-tree to efficiently partition meshes with uniform number of vertices. The bounding box region of the given mesh is adaptively subdivided according to the number of vertices included and dynamically determined axis. As a result, the partitioned meshes have a property of compactness with uniformly distributed vertices.

Entry into an aged society in the present case and the different policy alternatives, and is a reality. Resolution of one of these older active community participation and production activities to foster a rich life, infants need to be able to build a ubiquitous environment can be damaging. Latest IT technology in the development of intelligent life on all human life even more convenient by combining the computer and try to build a productive environment is. You simply connect your computer to the elderly rather than older users to use, efficient and productive way to improve efforts to follow. Emerging as an alternative to the more efficient interfaces for ubiquitous computing, user interface design criteria, albeit a little uncomfortable by suggesting improvements of the elderly and their participation in production activities helped to improve the quality of life. Ubiquitous environment, as well as means to improve the living environment of older people live independent lives, as given us is that you can get the premise of this study was in progress.Thus, by analyzing the characteristics of the elderly for the elderly by offering more efficient way to interface design for a new era of ubiquitous pushing back the boundaries of the elderly have been instruments to achieve social vitality.

  • Conventional methods of measuring ground resistance and ground resistance field measurement are used to measure voltage drop according to the resistance value of the site by applying current by installing a constant interval of measurement electrode. If the stratified structure of the site site is unique, errors in boundary conditions will occur in the event of back acid and the analysis of the critical ground resistance in the ground design will show much difference from simulation. This study utilizes the Arduino module and smart ground measurement technology in the convergent information and communication environment to develop a reliable smart land resistance measuring device even if the top layer of land is unique, to analyze the land resistance and accumulate data to predict the change in the age of the land. Considering the topographical characteristics of the site, we propose a ground resistance measuring device and its method of measuring ground resistance so that the auxiliary electrode can be installed by correctly positioning the angle and distance in measuring ground resistance. Not only is ground resistance value obtained through electrodes installed to allow accurate ground resistance values to be selected, but it can also be used as a useful material for installing electrical facilities in similar areas. Moreover, by utilizing reliable data and analyzing the large sections of the site, a precise analysis of the site, which is important in ground design as well as construction cost, is expected to be used much in ground facility design such as potential rise.

  • The general programming channels, newly introduced around the beginning of the 2010s, have grown into powerful journalistic agencies, the far-reaching social influences of which are not confined by the economic effects within the South Korean media industry. They are now rendered to become part of major socio-political institutions that try to secure their privileges based on broadcast journalism, and to widen their business opportunities through those special kind of social practices. This research has taken a path of theoretical endeavour to devise a conceptual framework that will effectively lead to a series of academic investigation into the socio-political characteristics of general programming channels. To this end, specific attention is paid to such theoretical and conceptual resources as the instrumentalization of media by the politics, the political sociology of media power, media-political parallelism, and the structural coupling between the political and the media systems. This paper suggests that general programming channels have emerged as a new interface that accommodates and actualizes the structural coupling between the two societal subsystems, and in the course of that, they undercut the vulnerable basis of media public sphere, effectively replacing it with entertaining media-political sphere constructed and managed by themselves. This sphere is where the media system's logic and the poltical system's logic are intertwined, simutaneously accelerating not only the mediatization of the politics but also the politicization of the media.

An Efficient Symbol Timing Synchronization Scheme for IEEE 802.11n MIMO-OFDM based WLAN Systems (IEEE 802.11n MIMO-OFDM 기반 무선 LAN 시스템을 위한 효율적인 심볼 동기 방법)

  • An efficient symbol time synchronization scheme for IEEE 802.11n MIMO-OFDM based WLAN systems using cyclic shift diversity (CSD) preamble is proposed. CSD is used to prevent unintentional beamforming when the same preamble signal is transmitted through transmit antennas. However, it is difficult to find a proper starting-point of the OFDM symbol with the conventional algorithms because of time offset by multi-peaks which are result from cross-correlation of received CSD preamble with a known short training symbol. In addition, the performance of symbol time sync. is affected by AGC and packet detection position. In this paper, an optimal symbol time synch. algorithm which is composed of the boundary detection scheme between LTS and OFDM symbols, the verification scheme for enhancement of boundary detection accuracy, and the SNR-varying threshold estimation scheme is proposed. Simulation result show that the proposed algorithm has performance gains of 4.3dB in SNR compared to the conventional algorithms at the rate of 1% sync. failure probability for $2{\times}2$ MIMO-OFDM system and 18dB at 0.1% when maximum frequency offset exists. It also can be applied to $4{\times}4$ MIMO-OFDM system without any modification. Hence, it is very suitable for MIMO-OFDM WLAN systems using CSD preamble.

An Inquiry into the Triple Helix as a New Regional Innovation Model (새로운 지역혁신 모형으로서 트리플 힐릭스에 대한 이론적 고찰)

  • Following the emergence of a knowledge-based economy, the triple helix model has been recognized as a new - regional and national - innovation model. This model seeks to understand the innovation process that is centered upon the university-industry-government interactions. The governance of the triple helix innovation system can be divided into three models according to the structure and depth of university-industry-government interactions. In the context of evolution, the triple helix can be established through the following three processes of development; i) internal transformation of each helix, ii) impacts of one helix on another helix, and iii) horizontal interactions among three helices. In theory, the triple helix model can be covered as part of the innovation system perspective. Compared to the innovation system perspective, the triple helix model tends to pay, however, more attention to the incompleteness of innovation system and the role of university in the process of knowledge creation. In view of regional innovation, the triple helix can be sustained when the triple helix spaces, including knowledge space, consensus space and innovation space, are created and the three triple helix spaces interact with one another. The existing literature on the triple helix model tends to make selectively use of only a single method between the qualitative method and the quantitative method, although both have shortcomings to reveal the dynamic characteristics of university-industry-government relations. Therefore, research on the triple helix is required to reconcile with two research methods, which are distinct but complementary in nature.

Prediction of Unsteady Turbulent Flow over a Square Cylinder using Two-Equation Turbulence Models (2-방정식 난류모델을 이용한 정사각주 주위 비정상 난류 유동의 예측)

  • 비유선형의 물체 주위의 유동은 정체유동, 경계층 박리 및 주기적 와열 생성 등의 복잡한 유동현상이 공존한다. 본 연구에서는 비교적 단순한 형상인 정사각주 주위의 비정상 난류 유동을 2-방정식 와점성 난류모델인 표준 $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델과 RNG $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델을 이용하여 예측할 수 있는지를 검증하였다. 정교하게 수행된 최근의 실험과 대와류모사(LES)의 결과를 검증을 위한 비교의 자료로 삼았다. 적절한 난류모델의 선정과 더불어 시간 정확도, 공간 정확도 및 대류항 처리법 등이 해석결과에 미치는 영향도 살펴보았다. 기존의 표준 $k-{\varepsilon}$모델은 정체점 부근에서 난류 운동에너지를 과도하게 생성하는 근본적인 문제점 때문에 실험 및 LES의 결과를 제대로 예측할 수 없었다. 난류운동에너지의 초과 예측에 따른 운동량의 과도한 혼합으로 인해, 항력계수 및 양력계수의 비정상성 뿐 아니라 평균 항력계수도 부정확하게 예측하였다. RNG $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델을 사용한 경우에는 정체점 주위 유동현상의 예측이 상당히 향상되어 항력계수 및 양력계수의 평균치, 진폭 및 비정상성의 주기 등을 정확하게 예측하는 것이 가능하였다. 그러나 이 경우에도 예측의 정확도가 시간 증분과 격자의 크기 및 대류항 처리법등에 영향을 받으며, 특별히 대류항 처리법에 상당히 민감하게 변하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 향상된 유동예측은 RNG $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델의 난류에너지 소산율 방정식의 개선된 항이 과도하게 생성된 난류에너지를 정체점 부근에서 제거하기 때문에 가능하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.의 20세 이하 골절 및 탈구가$30.3\%까지 감소하게되어 년도가 증가함에 따라 청장년 층에 비하여 소아골절 및 탈구가 전체적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 스키골절의 부위별 발생빈도는 1990년 이전까지 하지골절 및 탈구가 많았으나 이후 점차 상지의 골절 탈구가 증가하였다 하지에서 가장 많은 골절은 경골 골절이었으며, 경골골절은 회전력에 의한 나선형골절이 $76.5\%로 가장 많았고 년도에 따른 변화는 보이지 않았다. 스키손상의 발생빈도는 초기에 비하여 점차 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 손상의 특성도 부위별, 연령별로 다양한 변화를 나타내었다.해가능성을 가진 균이 상당수 검출되므로 원료의 수송, 김치의 제조 및 유통과정에서 병원균에 대한 오염방지에 유의하여야 할 것이다. 확인할 수 있었다. 이상의 결과에 의하면 고농도의 유기물이 함유된 음식물쓰레기는 Hybrid Anaerobic Reactor (HAR)를 이용하여 HRT 30일 정도에서 충분히 직접 혐기성처리가 가능하며, 이때 발생된 $CH_{4}$를 회수하여 이용하면 대체에너지원으로 활용 가치가 높은 것으로 판단된다./207), $99.2\%$(238/240), $98.5\%$(133/135) 및 $100\%$ (313)였다. 각각 두 개의 요골동맥과 우내흉동맥에서 부분협착이나 경쟁혈류가 관찰되었다. 결론: 동맥 도관만을 이용한 Off pump CABG를 시행하여 감염의 위험성을 증가시키지 않으면서 영구적인 신경학적 합병증을 일으키지 않았고 좋은 혈관 개존율을 보여주었다. 따라서 동맥 도관을 이용한 Off pump CABG는 관상동맥의 협착의 정도에 따라 효율적으로 시행

Static Fluid-Structure Coupled Analysis of Low-Pressure Final-Stage Turbine Blade (발전용 저압터빈 최종단 블레이드의 정적 유체-구조 연계해석)

  • In this study, a loosely coupled fluid-structure interaction (FSI) analysis was conducted for a low-pressure (LP) final-stage rotor blade. Preliminary FSI analyses of a $15^{\circ}$ sweptback wing and a NASA Rotor 37 compressor blade were performed for verifying the boundary conditions. The results were compared with the established literatures for each model. The FSI analysis of the $15^{\circ}$ sweptback wing was carried out under both stable and unstable conditions. The excessive deformation of the wing was observed within 0.05 s under the unstable condition which is higher than the divergence speed of a wing compared with the stable condition. On the basis of the results of a steady-state study, an unsteady state FSI analysis was conducted for a NASA Rotor 37. Different deformations were observed at trailing edge of the blade in the static FSI and dynamic FSI analysis. A 3D FE model of a LP rotor was generated from the span-wise section data. In order to develop a reasonable model, an impact test was performed and compared to the FE model. Using this FE model, the steady-state FSI analysis was performed successfully.

  • Visual features of a mushromm(Lentinus Edodes L.) are critical in sorting and grading as most agricultural products are. Because of its complex and various visual features, grading and sorting of mushrooms have been done manually by the human expert. Though actions involved in human grading look simple, it decision making underneath the simple action comes from the result of the complex neural processing of visual image. Recently, an artificial neural network has drawn a great attention because of its functional capability as a partial substitute of the human brain. Since most agricultural products are not uniquely defined in its physical properties and do not have a well defined job structure, the neuro -net based computer visual information processing is the promising approach toward the automation in the agricultural field. In this paper, first, the neuro - net based classification of simple geometric primitives were done and the generalization property of the network was tested for degraded primitives. And then the neuro-net based grading system was developed for a mushroom. A computer vision system was utilized for extracting and quantifying the qualitative visual features of sampled mushrooms. The extracted visual features of sampled mushrooms and their corresponding grades were used as input/output pairs for training the neural network. The grading performance of the trained network for the mushrooms graded previously by the expert were also presented.
