Effects of Underexpanded Plume in Transonic Region on Longitudinal Stability (천음속 영역에서 과소 팽창 화염이 종안정성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Exhaust plume effects on longitudinal aerodynamics of missile were investigated by wind tunnel tests using a solid plume simulator and CFD analyses with both the solid plume and air jet plumes. Approximate plume boundary prediction technique was used to produce the outer shape of the solid plumer and chamber conditions and nozzle shapes of the air jet plumes were determined through plume modeling technique to compensate the difference in thermodynamic properties between air and real plume. From comparisons among turbulence models in case of external flow interaction with the air jet plume, Spalart-Allmaras model turned out to give accurate result and to be less grid-dependent. Effects induced by the plume were evaluated through the computations with Spalart-Allmaras turbulence model and the air jet plume to account for various ratios of chamber and ambient pressure and Reynolds number under the flight test condition.

  • In this paper, we extracted the contour of lung parenchyma on EBT images with the improved active contour model. The objects boundary in conventional active contour model can be extracted by controlling internal energy and external energy as energy minimizing form. However, there are a number of problems such as initialization and the poor convergence about concave part. Expecially, contour can not enter the concave region by discouraging characteristic about stretching and bending in internal energy. We controlled internal energy by moving local perpendicular bisector point of each control point in the contour and implemented the object boundary by minimizing energy with external energy The convergence of concave part could be efficiently implemented toward lung parenchyma region by this internal energy and both lung images for initial contour could also be detected by multi-detection method. We were sure this method could be applied detection of lung parenchyma region in medical image.

Intercomparison of the Global Ocean Reanalysis Data (전지구 해양 재분석 자료 비교 분석)

  • This study summarized the results of the international ocean reanalysis intercomparison project. We introduced the characteristics of various ocean reanalysis systems and analyzed the assimilated performance on the typical eight oceanic variables (heat content, steric height, sea level, surface heat fluxes, mixed layer depth, subsurface salinity, depth of $20^{\circ}C$ isotherm, sea ice). In general, ensemble means show better estimations than those of any individual ocean reanalysis, but it depends on analyzed regions and variables. Among the eight oceanic variables, salinity and sea ice variabilities have large spreads among models. The deep sea, Southern Ocean, and coastal regions including western boundary current commonly appear as the areas with largest uncertainty between different objective analyses and assimilation models. We expect that intercomparison project for the ocean assimilation models independently operated in Korea should be processed, which allows us to join relevant international programs in the near future.

Dynamic Behaviors of a Corrugated Steel Tunnel Lining System due to Wind Loads by Passing Vehicles according to the Boundary Conditions (구조물 경계조건에 따른 파형강판 터널라이닝의 풍하중에 대한 동적 거동분석)

  • Dynamic behaviors of a corrugated steel plate tunnel lining system are examined under wind loads due to passing vehicles. Applied wind loads are simulated by applying the time functions as a vehicle moves through the tunnel. Wind loads are described by the pressure and suction as a vehicle arrives and leaves target positions in the tunnel. The tunnel lining is modeled using the simplified shell elements that retain the characteristics of the corrugated shapes. The displacements of the tunnel lining are evaluated under various conditions regarding wind velocity and the passing vehicles. The responses are found to increase as the vehicle velocity and wind velocity increase. A maximum displacement of 25mm occurs when two vehicles are crossing at the speed of 120km/h. A row of vehicles running consecutively minimally affects the dynamic responses with less than 2.5% of the dynamic responses enlarged and attributed to one running vehicle. It should be noted that the dynamic responses of the tunnel lining should be considered when there is no shotcrete applied.

An Experimental Study of Improving Fire Performance with Steel-fibers for Internally Anchored Square Composite Columns (내화성능 개선을 위한 강섬유 보강 내부 앵커형 각형강관 합성기둥의 실험연구)

  • This study focuses on mixing steel fiber in the concrete to improve the ductility and toughness of the columns. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the load capacity and deformation capacity associated with the amount of steel fiber and loading condition and to analyze the interplay between the steel fiber reinforced concrete and the welding built-up square tube in terms of structure and fire resistance performance. Reinforcement of concrete with steel fiber(Vf=0.375%), when cross-section shape and boundary condition (load ratio) remained unchanged, improved fire resistance performance by 1.1~1.3 times. It is deemed that the area resisting thermal load increased and fire resistance performance was improved since the concrete reinforced with steel fiber restrained cracking. In addition, the fact that the cross-sections of the concrete were barely damaged indicates that load share capacity was greatly improved.

  • This study aims to introduce a basic principle to improve the incident detection algorithm using traffic flow diagrams that can classify traffic states with a high reliability on the basis of the analysis of traffic flow characteristics under the recurrent or incident congestions. It is tried to newly classify the traffic states with the speed-flow and speed-occupancy diagrams. This is because McMaster algorithm has a tendancy on not identifying the traffic states exactly using the flow-occupancy diagram. In this study it shows that the classification of traffic states is applicable to use speed-occupancy relationship Therefore, it is necessary to determine some parameters to correctly classify the areas representing the traffic states and it may be possible to develop a new algorithm to detect the incident with a high reliability.

  • 대부분의 국내 다목적 댐은 유역면적이 넓고 강우기 집중강우로 인하여 유입되는 입자성 물질이 상당히 많은 편이며, 영양염의 증가로 인하여 저수지내부에서 발생되는 입자성 물질도 많다. 이로 인하여 호소에는 외부에서 유입된 무기$\cdot$유기성 입자와 내부 생성된 유기성 물질들이 장기간 축적되어 저수지 용량이 줄어든다. 본 연구에서는 저수지 퇴적물 상태를 탐사하는 효율적인 조사기법을 제시하고자 한다. 퇴적물 탐사기법에는 탄성파탐사 등을 이용하는 간접적인 방법과 코아를 이용하는 직접적인 방법, 퇴적층 동위원소 분석 기법 등이 있으며, 이러한 기법에 대한 기본원리 및 특성, 효용성 등을 평가하고 현장에 적합한 방법을 실제 적용하였다. 퇴적물 분포를 조사하기 위하여 먼저 다중빔(MBES)을 이용한 정밀 지형조사를 실시하였으며 이를 통하여 호저지형의 특징을 간접적으로 평가할 수 있었다. 직접적인 조사방법으로 gravity corer를 사용하여 몇 개의 지점을 sampling하였으며, 잠수부가 직접 핸드코아링를 실시하여 퇴적층을 측정하였다. 16지점에서 실시한Gravity core 결과 세 곳의 조사 정점에서 최대 70cm 두께의 퇴적층이 중력식 시추기에 의해 획득되었으며 다른 정점에서는 50cm, 20cm가 시추되었고 그 나머지 지점에서는 퇴적물이 채취되지 않았다. 이는 퇴적층이 얇아 코아가 쓰러지거나 시료채취가 되지 않은 것으로 판단되었다. 잠수부가 hand corer를 이용한 시료 채취시에 채취된 시료의 퇴적층은 각 지점별로 덕치리 25cm, 경계지점 25cm, 우산리 지점 45cm로 조사되었다. 납-210(반감기 22.3년)을 이용하여 최근에 형성된 주암댐 호수저 퇴적물 중 퇴적작용 이후 교란을 받지 않은 지역의 시추 시료를 대상으로 퇴적속도를 구하였다. 주암호에서 취한 코아퇴적물 시료는 현장에서 냉동하여 실험실에서 약 2cm 간격으로 절단하여 절단체 별로 동위원소 분석을 실시하였다. $^{210}Pb$의 농도는 grand-daughter인 $^{210}Po$를 측정함 후 감마분석에 의하여 구하였다. CF:CS 연령모델을 적용한 결과 깊이에 따른 supported $^{210}Pb$와 퇴적 속도는 0.91cm/year 인 것으로 산정 되었다.

Prediction MOdels for Channel Bed Evolution Due to Short Term Floods (단기간의 홍수에 의한 하상변동의 예측모형)

  • One-dimensional numerical models using finite difference methods for unsteady sediment transport on alluvial river channel are developed. The Preissmann implicit scheme and the Lax-Wendroff two-step explicit scheme with the Method of Characteristics for water motion and a forward time centered space explicit scheme for sediment motion are developed to simulate the sediment transport rate and the variation of channel bed level. The program correctness of each model is successfully verified using volume conservation tests. The sensitivity studies show that higher peak stage level, steeper channel slope and longer flooding duration produce more channel bed erosion. and median grain size, $D_{50}=0.4mm$ give maximum volume loss in this study. Finally, the numerical models are found to produce reasonable results from the various sensitivity tests which reveal that the numerical models have properly responded to the changes of each model parameter.

The Analysis of Drainage Time and Resolution of the Quasi-dynamic and Dynamic Wetness Index (배수시간과 격자크기와 반동력학적 또는 동력학적 습윤지수에 대한 연구)

  • The resolution issue of wetness index with relaxation of the steady state assumption is explored on the platform of Digital Elevation Model (DEM). The variabilities of the quasi-dynamic wetness index and the dynamic wetness index are discussed on the base of the spatial and statistical aspects depending upon resolutions of DEM and the drainage time. The organization patterns of the wetness index can be observed upon various drainage times and pixel size. The transient behaviour of wetness patterns of the Sulmachun watershed are shown in the relatively short drainage time. The statistical analysis of the quasi-dynamic and dynamic wetness analysis provide the convergence of analysis results to the steady state characteristics later than 10,000 hours drainage time. The probability density functions of the quasi-dynamic and the dynamic wetness index shows the existence of the threshold pixel size of DEM which provide stability and consistency in the computation result of these two wetness index.

  • 댐군 운영 문제는 여러 상충되는 목적 및 구성 요소들 간의 타협, 조정을 위한 다목적 특성을 갖고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 댐군 연계 운영 문제에 대해 다기준 의사결정 기법을 적용하여 최선의 운영 계획을 수립하는 것이다. 이를 위해 순위선호(outranking) 관계와 유사기준(pseudo-criteria)을 기반으로 해서 여러 선호 대안을 선정하는 데 유용한 ELECTRE (ELimination Et Choice Translating REality)를 적용하고자 한다. ELECTRE IS는 주어진 후보 대안들 중에서 원하는 수의 대안을 선정하는 데 유용하다. 그러나 기존의 ELECTRE IS는 대안선정 과정에서 의사결정자에게 기준들의 가중치(weight), 유사기준판정 경계치(pseudo-criteria thresholds), 그리고 일치판정 기준비율(concordance level)의 매개변수에 대한 설정을 요구하고 이들의 설정 상태에 따라 도출되는 대안의 수가 달라질 수 있는 성질을 갖고 있다. 특히 일치판정 기준비율은 ELECTRE IS의 최종적인 순위선호 관계의 형성여부에 결정적 영향을 주어 매개변수의 아주 작은 변화에도 선정되는 대안의 수가 달라질 수 있다. 따라서 실제 ELECTRE IS를 적용하여 원하는 수의 대안을 선정하기 위해서는 일치판정 기준비율에 대한 반복적용이 불가피하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 CoMOM (Coordinated Multireservoir Operating Model)을 활용한 댐군 연계운영 시 제시되는 파레토 최적해 집합(Pareto set)중에서 최선의 파레토 최적해를 선정할 때 ELECTRE IS의 수학적 구현 모형을 활용할 것을 제안하고 그 방법론을 제시한다. 제안된 모형은 혼합정수계획모형으로서 ELECTRE IS를 적용하는 과정에서 일치판정 기준비율을 자동으로 도출하고, 궁극적으로 많은 반복 없이 원하는 수나 그에 근사한 수의 선호대안(핵심대안)을 도출할 수 있는 특징을 갖고 있다. 이 모형을 낙동강 수계의 댐군 연계운영 문제에 적용해 보고, 핵심대안을 효율적으로 도출할 수 있음을 보인다.
