Analyse of characteristic of Eddy current sensor using Boundary Element Method (경계요소해석을 이용한 와전류 센서의 특성 해석)

  • In this paper, the characteristics analysis of the eddy current sensor by using boundary element method package is presented. For the boundary element analysis. Faraday, which is the commercial package of the integrated engineering software, is used. To observe the impedance characteristic of the eddy current senor with the sensor position and lift-off, the eddy current testing analysis is performed on the ferromagnetic plate with defect. Considering the skin depth of the ferromagnetic specimen, the 800(Hz) driving source is chosen. The result shows that electro motive force is reduced as the probe moves to near the defect and the lift-off of the probe increases.

  • In this paper, static and oscillatory instability of nanopipes conveying fluid and modelled as a thin-walled beam is investigated. Effects of boundary conditions and non-classical transverse shear and rotary inertia are incorporated in this study. The governing equations and the three different boundary conditions are derived through Hamilton's principle. Numerical analysis is performed by using extend Galerkin method which enables us to obtain more exact solutions compared with conventional Galerkin method. Variations of critical flow velocity for different boundary conditions of carbon nanopipes are investigated and pertinent conclusion is outlined.

  • 본 논문에서는 사각판이 고정단을 경계조건으로 가진 상태에서 충격력을 받았을 때의 굽힘파 전파와 이에 의한 음향 방사가 특정 공간에서 이루는 음장을 유한 차분 시간 영역법을 이용하여 예측하였다. 이와 같은 시도는 향후 구조물에서의 진동과 음장 사이의 관계를 해석하는데 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다. 대상 시뮬레이션 모델은 한 쪽 끝이 철판으로 이루어진 직육면체의 공간이며 예측 결과를 실험값과 비교하였다. 예측 결과는 대체로 파형과 그 특성이 실험값과 잘 일치하였으나, 감쇠 알고리즘을 주파수 대역에 따라 달리 적용하지 못하였고, 사각 평판에서 충격력의 적용 범위가 모호하여, 파형의 크기에 차이가 있었다.

  • Friction and wear characteristics of metals in dry and boundary lubricated sliding conditions are observed experimentally using pin-on-disk and pin-on-plate type tribotesters. The motivation of this research is to investigate the effect of sliding history on the tribological behavior of metals. Cu and SM45C steel materials were used for the experiment. The results show that in dry condition the fictional behavior as well as wear of the specimens differed between uni-directional and bi-directional sliding conditions. The friction coefficient values, wear profile and optical micrograph of the wear track are presented.

  • Boundary lubrication condition arises in most lubricated systems, especially during motion reversals and start up phase of operation. In this work electric contact resistance variations with respect to sliding conditions under lubrication is investigated The motivation was to improve the understanding of the contact condition in the boundary lubrication regime. It is shown that electrical contact resistance is sensitive to sliding speed and surface condition of the specimens. Also, phenomena such as run-in during the initial phase of sliding and lubricant pile up near the sliding pin could be observed. The results of this work will aid in better understanding of the metal to metal contact condition in lubricated systems.

  • 대부분의 3차원 모델을 가시화해주기 위한 시스템들은 삼각 메쉬를 기반으로 한 모델 표현법을 사용하고 있다. 이러한 시스템들은 복잡한 3차원 모델을 원격 엑세스할 때에는 모델을 가공하지 않으면 전송 및 랜더링시에 많은 제약이 따른다. 이러한 전송 시간과 랜더링 시간, 저장공간을 줄이기 위해 모델을 간략화하거나 압축하는 많은 기법들이 소개되어져 왔다. 본 논문에서는 메쉬 간략화를 위해 소개되어진 많은 다른 방법에서 사용한 에지 축약(Edge Collapse) 기반의 간략화 알고리즘을 제시한다. 기본적인 접근 방법으로는 기하학적인 메쉬 구성요소들 중에서 에지의 특성에 따라 제거 기준을 설정한 후 간략화해 나간다. 에지 축약을 위한 우선순위와 축약 이후 새로운 정점의 위치는 원본 모델을 참조하지 않고 간략화 단계의 모델에서 삼각형의 연결성(connectivity)과 정점의 위치만을 이용하여 계산하였다. 실제 이 방법은 방대한 다각형 메쉬를 간략화할 경우 메모리를 효율적으로 이용할 수 있으며, 처리 속도를 개선할 수 있다. 또한, 간략화이후에도 원본 모델의 위상(topology)을 유지할 수 있는 기법을 제시하고 있다. 세가지 모델에 대한 실험 결과에서 기하학적 에러(geometric error)를 최소화하였고, Heckbert가 제안한 방법(QSlim V2.0)과의 비교에서는 처리 속도가 개선되었다.

  • Wheel and rail wear is a fundamental and complicate problem in railway field. The life of railway is usually limited by wear. The wheel surface is subjected to high normal and tangential contact stress. The removal of material from the surface by wear is function of the sliding and contact stress. In the present paper, the wear characteristic depended on slip rate, contact pressure and temperature are investigated and is used to twin disc tester. The result shows that the wear in wheel-rail interface is remarkably depended on slip rate and contact pressure.

  • It is common that the soil layer is a few meters below the earth's surface and the rock mass is below the soil layer in the view of geological characteristics in Korea. And the boundary between rock and soil is clearly divided. When dealing with the stability of rock masses, as in the case of rock slopes or dam foundations, the majority of the collapses is not within the soil layer, but within the soil-rock boundary. Therefore it is important to identify the shear strength characteristics between soil-rock boundary. And then in the method of reinforcement on landslide this chose a cut slope near Daemo elementary school in Seoul, surveyed shear strength between soil-rock contacts and considered a large scale collapse using a limit equilibrium method.

  • CFRP는 우수한 기계적 강도와 경량 특성으로 인하여 NGV/FCV용 가스를 저장하기 위한 재료로서 널리 이용되고 있다. 탄소 섬유와 에폭시로 이루어진 CFRP는 화염 노출 시 매트릭스의 열적 분해 반응에 의해 급격한 물성 변화를 일으킨다. CFRP 메트릭스가 100kW/$m^2$ 이하의 열플럭스에 노출되는 경우 표면온도 변화에 따른 용기 내부로의 열확산 메카니즘을 규명하기 위해서는 시간에 따른 경계조건의 변화를 명확히 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 Fuel bed type 가열장치의 열플럭스를 계산하였으며 계산된 열플럭스에 노출되는 CFRP 용기 표면의 온도 변화 측정 실험을 수행하였다. 또한 측정 결과를 보고된 문헌의 결과와 비교하였다.
