We investigated the light reflection from thin films coated on substrates. Using a prism with a high refractive index as the incident medium, the phenomena of the total internal reflection (TIR) of the prism/film/substrate system and the light coupling into the optical waveguide formed by the air/film/substrate system were comprehensively studied and compared. If the refractive index of the thin film is greater than that of the substrate, within the TIR region of the substrate, sharp reflection minima occur at specific angles where the waveguide modes are excited, that can be used to accurately measure the refractive index and thickness of a thin film. On the other hand, if the refractive index of the thin film is smaller than that of the substrate, such waveguide modes do not exist. In this case, although not so distinct as a bulk medium, the TIR effect of the thin film is still observable, accompanied by an interference pattern. In this study we analyzed the overall reflection phenomena occurring from prism/film/substrate structures, to investigate the possibility of measuring the refractive index of a thin film in both cases.

Billiards is a fun and popular sport, but both route planning and cueing prevent beginners from becoming skillful. A beginner in billiards requires constant concentration and training to reach the right level, but without the right motivating factor, it is easy to lose interests. This study aims to induce interest in billiards and accelerate learning by utilizing billiard path prediction and visualization on a highly immersive augmented reality platform that combines a stereo camera and a VR headset. For implementation, the placement of billiard balls is recognized through the OpenCV image processing program, and physics simulation, path search, and visualization are performed in Unity Engine. As a result, accurate path prediction can be achieved. This made it possible for beginners to reduce the psychological burden of planning the path, focus only on accurate cueing, and gradually increase their billiard proficiency by getting used to the path suggested by the algorithm for a long time. We confirm that the proposed AR billiards is remarkably effective as a learning assistant tool.

The pharmaceutical industry is experiencing a productivity crisis with a low probability of success despite a long period of time and enormous cost. As a strategy to solve the productivity crisis, the use cases of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Bigdata are increasing worldwide and tangible results are coming out. However, domestic pharmaceutical companies are taking a wait-and-see attitude to adopt AI platform for drug research. This study proposed a research model that combines the Value-based Adoption Model and the Innovation Resistance Model to empirically study the effect of value perception and resistance factors on adopting AI Platform. As a result of empirical verification, usefulness, knowledge richness, complexity, and algorithmic opacity were found to have a significant effect on perceived values. And, usefulness, knowledge richness, algorithmic opacity, trialability, technology support infrastructure were found to have a significant effect on the innovation resistance.

The talk of today's era is innovation and convergence. Convergence can be seen as innovation because convergence is born through innovation and innovation is made through convergence. Crossover and collaboration (collectively referred to as "crossover") which are used as a concept of convergence in popular culture means the combination and integration of different genres or fields, and has recently been used in various fields such as movies and music. The use of crossover helps to break boundaries with other fields and create new works through free and diverse attempts. Thus, in this study, the convergence of popular culture, or crossover, is analyzed in conjunction with the Korean horror genre. Currently, Korean horror movies were popular from the 1990s to the early 2000s, but now only a few are coming out due to a series of poor box office performances. However, according to this study, crossover attempts have already begun in Korean horror films, and traces of crossover have been found in several successful films. In this study, we will further apply a collaboration of characters such as "Avengers" to present a new direction for Korean horror movies.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing poverty in the elderly under the income maintenance, focusing on labor. Accordingly, a Panel Logit Analysis was conducted based on the 7th to 16th data of the Korean Welfare Panel. The analysis results are as follows. First, even if demographic, economic, and health variables affecting elderly poverty are controlled, National Pension and Special Occupational Pension among the income maintenance are negatively related to elderly poverty. On the other hand, it was found that the amount of Basic Pension and National Basic Living Security were positively related to poverty for the elderly. Second, it was found that if the elderly receiving national basic living security work, there is a high possibility of poverty. This raises the need to restructuring the Basic Pension, and suggests that it is necessary to combine the National Basic Living Security with the elderly job policy. Finally, in order to alleviate overall elderly poverty, it is suggested to rebuild the multi-pillar old-age income security system, including Basic Pension and Retirement Pension.

This study aims to completely develop a non sintered cement mortar using industrial by-products. To replace Portland cement, blast furnace slag, circulating fluidized bed fly ash, and pulverized coal fly ash were used, and natural aggregates were substituted with ferronickel slag. To understand the characteristics of the non sintered cement mortar to which ferronickel slag is applied, an experiment was conducted by classifying the particle size. Fluidity and workability were confirmed through the flow test, and bending and compressive strength tests were conducted at 3, 7, and 28 days of age. In addition, durability was identified through a chloride ion penetration test. Through the study, it is judged that the binder, which completely replaced cement and aggregate, has high potential of being used as a construction material. Notably, it was confirmed to be advantageous for strength and durability.

As the proportion of renewable energy generation is expected to increase, public power generation businesses need to actively consider implementing the expansion of biomass mixing, In this study, the biomass co-firing rate is being changed from 0wt.% to 5.0wt.% at 500MW coal-fired power plant, measuring the major operation characteristics of the pulverizer. First, the composition analysis and grinding characteristics of lignocelluosic biomass were examined, and the effect of volume increase on dirrerential bowl pressure difference, motor current, coal spillage, outlet temperature, and internal fire count was analyzed. As the co-firing rate increased, it was confirmed that the difference in the differential bowl pressure, motor current, and coal spillage treated increased, and the outlet temperature was minimal. The number of internal fires is difficult to find a clear correlation, but it has been confirmed that it is highly likely to occur in combination with other driving factors.

Recently, with the development of convergent media, the digital animation industry has developed a variety of content centered on the role of Intellectal Property. The excellent IP role image has created huge economic benefits in business. This paper selects three representative Intellectual Property animation cases from Japan, the United States and China. Analyzed of the reuse of IP animation character images and combined with the era technology and the style of culture and art, the traditional cultural IP roles are reconstituted into modern character design two aspects. Through the research of this paper, can understand the expansion possibility of IP animation according to the use of character image. It is expected that when making digital animation, can recognize the importance of intellectual property and use it as a reference for role development.

This study was conducted for the purpose of developing a curriculum to educate the practical skills required in the industry by convergence with the 4th industry in the beauty field, which has been accelerated since the Corona era. As a result of an exploratory investigation of several literatures and collecting expert opinions, it was analyzed that the field of beauty industry will expand to a personalized service providing industry that combines medical, bio, ICT, and artificial intelligence technologies, rather than providing a single item or service. Based on the analysis contents, the curriculum was composed and subjects were derived by adding digital application skills to have in addition to the basic job skills required in the traditional beauty industry. The post-Corona era will bring changes in various industries based on the Fourth industrial revolution, and in response to these changes, universities should always pay attention to changes in the industry to develop talent for the development and sustainability of the beauty industry.
