  • CORBA는 이 기종간의 분산 어플리케이션을 구현하기 위해 적합한 미들웨어이다. 하지만 point-to-point 통신을 하기 때문에 신뢰성 있는 그룹 통신을 제공하지 못한다. 기존의 방식은 Orbix+Isis, Electra등과 같은 하부 툴킷을 이용하여 그룹 통신을 지원하기 때문에 툴킷과 어댑터에 종속적인 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결 하고자 기존의 통신 툴킷을 이용하지 않고 ORB를 수정하여 그룹 통신과 결함허용을 지원하는 ORB를 설계한다. 제한된 방법은 복제를 통해 ORB 내부에서 객체 그룹에 대한 결함을 처리하도록 한다.

Fault Tolerant Clock Management Scheme in Sensor Networks (센서 네트워크에서 고장 허용 시각 관리 기법)

  • Sensor network applications need synchronized time to the highest degree such as object tracking, consistent state updates, duplicate detection, and temporal order delivery. In addition, reliability issues and fault tolerance in sophisticated sensor networks have become a critical area of research today. In this paper, we proposed a fault tolerant clock management scheme in sensor networks considering two cases of fault model such as network faults and clock faults. The proposed scheme restricts the propagation of synchronization error when there are clock faults of nodes such as rapid fluctuation, severe changes in drift rate, and so on. In addition, it handles topology changes. Simulation results show that the proposed method has about $1.5{\sim}2.0$ times better performance than TPSN in the presence of faults.

  • 현재 국내에서 주로 사용되고 있는 홍수기 다목적 댐의 홍수조절효과에 대한 정량적인 평가지표로는 유량조절률, 저수지 방류율, 저수지 저류율, 저수지 이용률 등이 있다. 이러한 평가지표들은 유입량, 방류량, 저류량 등의 자료를 단순 비교하는 방법을 사용하고 있는데, 홍수조절효과 평가지표 산정식에 사용되는 자료들이 가지는 불확실성이 평가에 고려되지 못하고 있으며, 다목적댐에서 얻을 수 있는 자료만을 사용함으로써 댐 하류 지점에서의 홍수조절효과를 평가하지 못하고 있다. 또한 수자원 시스템의 설계에 있어서 허용 가능한 부분적인 실패를 고려하지 못하는 등의 문제점이 존재하므로, 홍수조절효과를 정량화 할 수 있는 새로운 지표의 개발이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 각종 변수들이 가지는 불확실성, 댐 하류지점에서의 홍수조절효과, 수자원 시스템에서 허용 가능한 부분적 실패를 고려하기 위하여 홍수조절효과 정량화 지표 개발에 퍼지집합 이론을 적용하였고, 충주댐 유역을 시험 유역으로 선정하여 연구를 수행하였다. 대상 홍수사상으로는 2006년도 7월의 홍수사상을 적용하였으며 그에 따른 인자들을 퍼지화하고 시스템의 상태로부터 허용 가능한 부분적인 실패 영역을 구분하였고, 통합 신뢰도-취약도 지수를 적용하여 홍수조절효과 정량화 지표를 개발하였다. 적용 결과, 본 연구를 통하여 개발된 통합 신뢰도-취약도 지수는 저수지의 홍수조절효과를 보다 구체적이고 객관화하여 나타낼 수 있었다.

The Effect of a Smoke-free Campus Policy on Receptivity of Campus and Government Smoke-free Policy among College Students (캠퍼스 금연정책이 대학생들의 캠퍼스 내·외 금연정책 수용성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effect of a smoke-free campus policy on college students' receptivity of campus and governmental smoke free policy. The current study utilized pre and post cross-sectional survey in length of nine months. Data were collected from similar major freshmen at two pre matched universities, one representing smoke-free campus in Seoul city and one representing non smoke-free campus in Busan city, Korea. Baseline data were collected in March 2016 and follow-up data were collected in December 2016. No differences were found between initial and follow-up data on receptivity of smoke-free campus policy in both university students revealing that the smoke-free campus policy does not influence in changing student's attitude towards unfavorable direction. Receptivity on governmental smoke free policy demonstrated significant changes among participants in non smoke-free campus. Their receptivity level changed significantly toward unfavorable direction. The implementation of a smoke-free campus policy can give positive impact on students' receptivity of campus as well as governmental smoke free policy.

  • 자동차는 차종, 차령 및 사용연료에 따라 매우 다양한 배출가스를 발생시키며 이러한 물질 중 CO, HC, NOx, PM 등은 배출가스 허용기준에 따라 규제되고 있다. 반면에 미량유해물질로서 자동차 배출가스에는 알데히드, PAHs, VOCs등은 인체위해성 및 대기중 오존생성원인물질로서 대기오염에 미치는 영향이 강조되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 자동차에서 배출되는 이들 물질중 VOCs 배출특성을 파악하여 배출 허용기준을 마련하기 위한 기초자료로서 이용하고, 이러한 결과를 토대로 미량유해물질에 대한 대기오염 관리대책을 마련하는데 기여하고자 하였다. Evaluation of Domestic and Foreign Design Standards for Soil Nailing Method by Analysis of Slope Restoration Case (비탈면 복구사례 분석을 통한 쏘일네일링 공법의 국내외 설계기준 평가)

  • Limit state design (LSD) and allowable stress design (ASD) are two main types of soil nailing design methodologies. In the LSD method, stability is determined by applying individual coefficients to ground strength, working load and etc. The ASD method calculates the safety factor and compares it with the minimum safety factor to determine the stability. The global design trend of soil nailing system is changing from the ASD method to the LSD method. The design method in Korea still adopts the ASD philosophy while others mostly do the limit state design. In this study, four soil nail design methods, 'FHWA GEC 7' in U.S. (2015), 'Clouterre' in France (1991), 'Soil nailing - best practice guidance' in U.K. (2005), 'Geoguide 7' in Hongkong (2008), and 'Design guide for slope in construction work' in Korea (2016) were applied to the evaluation of the stability and the results were analyzed comparatively in brief. It is revealed that the design method of 'the overall stability of soil nail walls' in Korea is the most conservative and next those by FHWA, Clouterre and CIRIA become more conservative in order. However, the difference of results obtained from FHWA and Clouterre is negligible. Also, this study found out that efforts to improve domestic design criterion are needed.

An Adaptive Checkpointing Scheme for Fault Tolerance of Real-Time Control Systems with Concurrent Fault Detection (동시 결함 검출 기능이 있는 실시간 제어 시스템의 결함 허용성을 위한 적응형 체크포인팅 기법)

  • The checkpointing scheme is a well-known technique to cope with transient faults in digital systems. This paper proposes an adaptive checkpointing scheme for the reliability improvement of real-time control systems with concurrent fault detection capability. With concurrent fault detection capability the effect of transient faults are assumed to be detected with no latency. The proposed adaptive checkpointing scheme is based on the reliability analysis of an equidistant checkpointing scheme. Numerical data show the proposed adaptive scheme outperforms the equidistant scheme from a reliability point of view.

  • 워크플로우 시스템에서 중요한 기능은 정의된 규칙, 절차 및 조건에 의한 작업흐름을 자동화하는 것으로 정보처리의 이동성을 고려하여야 한다. 특히, 최근에는 웹 환경의 확대에 따라 분산시스템에 대한 관심이 높으며, 분산시스템에서의 워크플로우 프로세스는 다른 노드에서도 태스크 처리가 가능해야 하고 실시간 처리가 요구된다. 또한 분산시스템을 구성하는 노드에서의 결함 발생은 전체 작업처리 효율을 저하시키므로 결합이 허용되는 분산 시스템에 적합한 워크플로우 엔진이 필요하다. 본 논문은 워크플로우 시스템이 분산시스템 환경에서 수행될 때, 결함을 허용하며 작업을 자동으로 처리하여 전체 프로세스의 처리율을 향상시킬 수 있는 태스크 할당 알고리즘을 설계하고, 태스크의 수행 보증율을 통해 분석한다.

  • This paper proposes a fault detection and recovery mechanism for a fault-tolerant Mini-MAP system, and provides detailed techniques for its implementation. This paper considers the fault-tolerant Mini-MAP system which has dual layer structure from the LLC sublayer down to the physical layer to cope with the faults of those layers. For a good fault detection, a redundant and hierarchical fault supervision architecture is proposed and its implementation technique for a stable detection operation is provided. Information for the fault location is provided from data reported with a fault detection and obtained by an additional network diagnosis. The faults are recovered by the stand-by sparing method applied for a dual network composed of two equivalent networks. A network switch mechanism is proposed to achieve a reliable and stable network function. A fault-tolerant Mini-MAP system is implemented by applying the proposed fault detection and recovery mechanism.

A Study on the Allowable Crack Width of RC Beam with Corrosive Environment (염해환경에서의 RC보의 허용 균열폭 산정에 관한 연구)

  • Deterioration of reinforced concrete structures in corrosive environment is tend to be accelerated due to ingress of aggressive ion such as chloride ion. Chloride-induced corrosion is affected by various factors such as cover concrete qualities, width of existing cracks, and cover depth of concrete. However, the allowable crack width of RC structure in design code does not consider the concrete material properties and conditions of construction except the cover depth. In this paper, an equation for allowable crack width is proposed to consider the cover concrete quality, crack width, and cover depth. Crack width, cover depth, and water-cement ratio of concrete are selected as influencing factors on corrosion of reinforcement for rapid chloride tests. From test results, the relationships between the factors and corrosion are derived. Finally, the equation for allowable crack width is derived in terms of concrete compressive strength and cover depth. The presented equation is verified by comparative calculations with design code variables.
