Design of Dual-Band GPS Antenna Using a Single-Layer Coupled-Feed Structure (단층 간접급전구조를 이용한 이중대역 GPS 안테나 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose a dual-band GPS antenna using a single-layer coupled-feed structure for improvement of isolation and design complexity. The proposed antenna consists of a central feed patch and outer dual loops, and the loops are electromagnetically fed by the feed patch to induce currents. This feeding network can improve the isolation between antenna elements arranged in small arrays because the magnetic field strength near the antenna is minimized by confining the fields around the dual loops. The isolation characteristics of the proposed antenna are compared with those of the conventional multi-layer patch antenna, and the average field strength and the isolation are improved by 3 dB and 2 dB, respectively, which verifies that the antenna is suitable for small CRPA arrays.

Isolation Improvement in Vivaldi Antennas Using DSRR (DSRR을 이용한 비발디 안테나 소자 간 격리도 향상)

  • In this paper, a double split-ring resonator(DSRR) is proposed to improve the isolation between Vivaldi antenna elements. The DSRR was designed using a unit cell simulation and applied to a $1{\times}2$ Vivaldi antenna array to confirm the improvement in the isolation. The unit cell size of the proposed DSRR is $5mm{\times}5mm{\times}1.52mm$ and six unit cells are used. To verify the performance of the proposed DSRR, $1{\times}2$ Vivaldi antenna arrays with and without the DSRR were fabricated and measured. The results show an isolation improvement of 20 dB in the Vivaldi antennas with the DSRR when compared to the Vivaldi antennas without the DSRR.

Design of Compact Isolation Network of Marchand Balun Using CRLH Transmission Line (CRLH 전송선을 이용한 Marchand 발룬의 소형 격리 회로 설계)

  • In order to obtain balanced ports matching and isolation between balanced ports of a Marchand balun, a compact isolation network is proposed. The proposed compact isolation network is designed using composite right/left-hand (CRLH) transmission line and compact phase inverter using CRLH transmission line unit cell. Also, design method and analysis of proposed isolation network are presented. The sizes of the proposed isolation networks are significantly reduced to $0.11{\lambda}_g$ and $0.07{\lambda}_g$ compared with the conventional isolation network of $0.5{\lambda}_g$. The Marchand balun is operated at 2.45 GHz and is demonstrated through excellent experimental results.

  • In this paper, we design and fabricate a dual liner polarization sinuous antenna with improved cross polarization isolation (XPI). The proposed antenna is composed of four arm radiators for generating dual linear polarization and excited by wideband microstrip balun with Klopfenstein taper structure. Also, two-step cylindrical cavity structure is applied to reduce back radiation. Honeycomb-typed absorbing material is inserted into the cavity to reduce performance degradation by reflected wave. To enhance cross polarization isolation in low frequency band, resistors are adapted between outer arm and the rim of cavity. We confirmed that the fabricated antenna can be applied for polarization measurement due to improved XPI in the low band.

  • 본 논문에서는 신경 회로망과 DTW를 이용하여 격리 단어 인식을 수행하였다. 인식 대상 단어는 숫자음을 사용하였고, 숫자음에 포함된 음소를 세 부분으로 구분하여 각각의 신경회로망을 구성한 후, 전체 음소를 인식하기 위하여 세 개의 신경회로망을 합성하였다. 격리 단어 인식은 전단계에서 구한 음소를 이용하여 DTW기법으로 수행하였다.

  • The characteristics of microporous separator for lithium ion secondary battery was introduced. Microporous separator is a key component of a lithium ion secondary battery because its basic properties were related with the performance and safety of the battery. Up to now, stretched microporous polyolefins such as polyethylene(PE) separator were mainly applied. It is still required to enhance wettability and shut-down property. For this purpose, the application of fluorovinylic polymers and surface modification of conventional polyolefinic microporous membrans we being continuously tried.

  • 코로나 바이러스 감염증-19가 처음 발생한 이래로 확산세가 전혀 줄지 않고 계속 늘어나는 지금, 확진자는 물론이거니와 자가격리자에 대한 관리 또한 매우 중요하다. 국가 간 이동이나 코로나 바이러스 확진자와 접촉한 일이 있는 사람의 경우 2주간의 자가격리를 해야 되니만큼 그 숫자가 매우 많으며 그에 대한 관리 또한 중요하다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 블록체인을 이용하여 자가격리자에 대한 체계적이고 신뢰성 있는 관리 시스템을 제안한다. 프라이빗 블록체인 합의 알고리즘인 PBFT를 이용하여 방역당국과 같은 중앙에서 그것을 실시간으로 확인하여 자가격리 이탈자가 있을 경우 바로 알 수 있는 효과를 기대한다.

  • In this paper, a single balanced diode Mixer for the homodyne FMCW radar to detect distance and velocity of a vehicle target is designed and implemented using a microstrip line and two schottky barrier beam lead diodes. This mixer is optimally designed to have less a conversion loss within the 100 MHz bandwidth with a little LO injection power and a higher LO isolation as soon as possible through the embedded electrical length of microsrtrip line placed between the coupler and diode matching, considering together LO matching condition. The measured results show 6 dB of conversion loss, 23 dB LO/RF isolation and 3 dBm of input 1l dB, respectively.

  • In this paper, a novel low profile dual feeding microstrip antennas with microstrip and H-shaped aperture feeding are proposed to achieve high isolation and easy feeding, and the validity of the proposed antennas is demonstrated experimentally. In the proposed single and 1$\times$4 array antenna, the measured isolations are less than -49 dB and -48 dB, impedance bandwidths are 4 % at 12.5 GHz and 2.1 % at 14.25 GHz for the VSWR<1.5 in both antennas and maximum gains are 8.25 dBi and 14.2 dBi.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented the MIMO antenna for LTE(Long Term Evolution), supposed to be a next generation communications network, DCS1800, DCS1900 and WCDMA. Using conventional monopole antenna with MD material results in good characteristics, miniaturization for LTE band and as well as broadbanding for DCS, WCDMA band. The performance of the proposed MIMO antenna shows VSWR < 2, under -10 dB of isolation and the gain is -1.66 ~ 1.33 dBi for LTE(Long Term Evolution), DCS1800, DCS1900 and WCDMA, which has omnidirectional radiation pattern.
