Software-In-the-Loop based Power Management System Modeling & Simulation for a Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier (SIL 기반 액화천연가스운반선 전력관리시스템의 모델링 및 시뮬레이션)

  • With the increasing risk in building liquefied natural gas carriers (LNGC), pre-simulation of various scenarios is required for system integration and safe operation. In particular, the power management system (PMS) is an important part of the LNGC; it works in tight integration with the power control systems to achieve the desired performance and safety. To verify and improve unpredicted errors, we implemented a simulation model of power generation and consumption for testing PMS based on software-in-the-loop (SIL) method. To control and verify the PMS, numeric and physical simulation modeling was undertaken utilizing MATLAB/Simulink. In addition, the simulation model was verified with a load sharing test scenario for a sea trial. This simulation allows shipbuilders to participate in new value-added markets such as commissioning, installation, operation, and maintenance.

  • This research was carried out to develop an integrated folding wing made from carbon composite materials. Design requirements were reviewed and composite wing sizing was conducted using design optimization with commercial software. Three composite manufacturing processes including hot-press, pultrusion, and autoclave were evaluated and the most suitable processes for the integrated wing fabrication were selected, with consideration given to performance and cost. The determined manufacturing process was verified by two design development tests for selecting the design concept. Stiffness and strength of the composite wing were estimated through structural analyses. The test loads were calculated and static tests about design limit load and design ultimate load were performed using both wings. As a result, the evaluation criterions of the tests were satisfied and structural safety was verified through the series of structural analyses and testing.

Analysis of Effect that Pair Programming Develope of Computational Thinking and Creativity in Elementary Software Education (초등학교 SW교육에서 동료 프로그래밍 교육 방법이 컴퓨팅 사고력과 창의성 신장에 미치는 효과 분석)

  • In this study, It analyzed the effect of pair programming teaching methods in elementary software education. At first, for the development of SW educational programs it surveyed 162 elementary students and 34 teachers in J area. As a result, developed SW educational programs based on geometry in elementary mathematics and it was applied. For application SW programs it was constructed 22 students experimental group, 22 students comparison group of 44 students in 3, 4, 5th grade the winter break of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ university education donation application. First, software education using pair programming will be more effective on the development of elementary school students' computational thinking. Second, software education using pair programming will be more effective on the development of elementary school students' creativity. Test results, pair programming is to show a significant difference on the development of computational thinking and creativity in elementary software education.

  • 기후변화 따른 스마트팜 돈사 외부 환경의 변화에 대응하고, 사육 환경을 능동적으로 개선하기 위한 연구가 수행 중이다. 돈사 내 열전달 요소 간 상호 역학성 분석을 위해서 고려해야할 사항은 입기구, 보온 등, 열풍기, 단열제, 위치, 방향, 돈사의 연평균 온도, 습도, 연중 일사량, 가축의 열복사 등 상호 복잡하게 연관되어 있는 물리량이다. 돈사 전체 열손실, 자연발생 에너지량, 강제발생 에너지량, 난방용량 등을 고려한 순간 열부하 산정을 위한 여러 방법 중 우선적으로 CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics)를 이용하였다. 순간 열부하 산정을 위한 해석 도구 선정에 있어서 다양한 유체 및 기체 전산 유체역학 Solver(Fluent, Open-FOAM, Blender)를 고려하였다. 공간 Mech를 수행하기 위한 도구로는 공개 소프트웨어 인 FreeFem++ 3.51-4 (http://www.freefem.org)를 이용하였다. 이 과정에서 일부 기체 (암모니아)의 농도를 난수로 변화시키는 기법을 적용하여 가상적으로 돈사의 환경을 Pseudo 시뮬레이션 하였다. 결과적으로 Fluent에 비하여 OpenFOAM을 이용하여 얻은 열유동의 방향(속도)과 크기 백터가 상대적으로 크게 나타났다. Fluent가 시계열 상에서 혼합 기체 물리량 변화를 무시할 수 있는 안정되고 균일한 환경에 적합하기 때문인 것으로 판단되었다. Blender의 경우 Lattice Boltzmann methods 과 Smoothed-particle hydrodynamics 방법을 이용한 유체/입자 동력학 모델링을 제공함에 있어 시각적 효과를 강조하는 기능에 중점을 두었다. Fluent와 Blender에서 제공하는 해석 연산 모듈의 정확성 검증을 위해선 공간 분해능을 높인 정밀 계측 시스템을 이용하여 검증할 필요가 있다. Open-FOAM를 이용한 열부하 분석 수행이 상대적으로 높은 절대값을 보이는 특성은 열부하 제어 시스템의 Overshoot를 유발할 가능성이 있으므로 이에 대한 해석 모델의 보정이 추가적으로 필요할 것이다. CFD의 한계인 시간 복잡도를 낮추고 상대적으로 높은 시계열 분해능을 확보할 경우 돈사 내 환기시스템에 맞는 소요 환기량 실시간 산정이 가능해지고 외부기상 및 돈사내부 복사열을 활용함과 동시에 돈군 순환에 상응하는 실시간 열부하 관리 시스템 도출이 가능할 것이다.

  • In this paper, we present a development of an Avionics Hot Bench(AHB) used for the verification of operational flight programs and fault analysis using various simulation and stimulation software. We propose an application of the open system architecture to develop the AHB which can be used for the development of a real aircraft avionics system. In the design of the AHB, to reduce the development period and cost we use as many as commercial off-the-shelf hardware and software items. The developed AHB is compared with the existing proven AHB which was used for T-50 avionics system development. Thorough comparison between the test results using the developed AHB and those using the existing AHB is performed and the overall comparison results are very satisfactory.

  • This paper presents the region of interest pattern image extraction method on a display printed matrix pattern. Proposed method can not use conventional method such as laser, ultrasonic waves and touch sensor. It searches feature point and rotation angle using luminance and pattern reliable feature points of input image, and then it extracts region of interest. In order to extract region of interest, we simulate proposed method using pattern image written various angles on display panel. The proposed method makes progress using the OpenCV and the window program, and was designed using Verilog-HDL and was verified through the FPGA Board(xc6vlx760) of Xilinx.

  • The academic research on data governance is still in its infancy and focused on the definition of concept and components. However, we need to study of evaluation on data governance to help make decision of establishment. The purpose of this paper is to develop of attribute index in data governance framework. Therefore, in this paper, we used RGT (repertory grid technique) and Laddering techniques for experts interview and survey for validation of disinterested third party experts and analysis statistically. We completed data governance attribute index which is composed of data compliance area including 8 components, data quality area including 16 components and data organization area including 7 components. Moreover, the evaluation attributes is prioritized and ranked using the AHP. As a result of the study, this paper can be used for the base line data in introducing and operating data governance in an IT company.

  • As web apps have evolved faster and become more complex, their validation and verification have become essential for their development and maintenance. Efficient validation and verification require understanding of how web components collaborate with each other to meet user requests. Thus, this paper proposes a new approach to automatically extracting such collaboration when a user issues a request for a new page. The approach is dynamic and less sensitive to web development languages and technologies, compared to static extraction approaches. It considers an orignal web app as a black-box and does not change the app's behavior. The empirical evaluation shows that our approach can be applicable to extract component collaboration and understand the behavior of open source web apps.

An Efficient Falsification Algorithm for Logical Expressions in DNF (DNF 논리식에 대한 효율적인 반증 알고리즘)

  • Since the problem of disproving a tautology is as hard as the problem of proving it, no polynomial time algorithm for falsification(or testing invalidity) is feasible. Previous algorithms are mostly based on either divide-and-conquer or graph representation. Most of them demonstrated satisfactory results on a variety of input under certain constraints. However, they have experienced difficulties dealing with big input. We propose a new falsification algorithm using a Merge Rule to produce a counterexample by constructing a minterm which is not satisfied by an input expression in DNF(Disjunctive Normal Form). We also show that the algorithm is consistent and sound. The algorithm is based on a greedy method which would seek to maximize the number or terms falsified by the assignment made at each step of the falsification process. Empirical results show practical performance on big input to falsify randomized nontautological problem instances, consuming O(nm$^2$) time, where n is the number of variables and m is number of terms.

Development of a Multi-Channel Ultrasonic Testing System for Automated Ultrasonic Pipe Inspection of Nuclear Power Plant (원전 배관 자동 초음파 검사를 위한 다채널 초음파 시스템 개발)

  • Currently almost all in-service-inspection techniques, applied in domestic nuclear power plants, are partial to field inspection technique. These kinds of techniques are related to managing nuclear power plants by the operation of foreign-produced inspection devices. There have been so many needsfor development of native in-service-inspection device because there is no native diagnosis device for nuclear power plant inspection yet in Korea. In this research, we developed several core techniques to make an automated ultrasonic pipe inspection system for nuclear power plants. A high performance multi-channel ultrasonic pulser/receiver module, an A/D converter module and a digital main CPU module were developed and the performance of the developed modules was verified. The S/N ratio, noise level and signal acquisition performance of the developed modules showed proper level as we designed in the beginning.
