  • 현대는 저출산 및 고령화 사회가 진행되고 3D 직종에 대한 기피현상이 심해지면서 전통산업과 서비스산업의 환경이 많이 변하고 있다. 이에 따라 이들 산업에 새로운 대체 노동력이 필요하게 되었고, 그 대안으로 로봇 융합기술이 발전하고 있다. 세계 건설산업에서 현재 우리나라의 위상은 선진국과 개발도상국의 중간 정도이다. 세계 건설산업의 환경 변화에 따른 국내 건설산업의 경쟁력 제고 및 선진화를 위해 많은 분야에서 노력을 기울이고 있다. 특히 IT 기술을 활용한 정보화와 지식화, 그리고 첨단화를 위한 많은 노력이 경주되고 있는 현실에서 건설 현장에서 적용 가능한 건설 자동화 기술의 개발을 통하여 기술 경쟁력을 확보하고, 나아가서는 잠재돼 있는 시공력의 무한한 가능성을 실현시켜야 한다. 본지는 발전하고 있는 로봇 융합기술 중 건설산업에 접목되고 있는 공사 자동화 및 로봇화 기술과 그 종류, 그리고 우리나라가 앞으로 이뤄야 할 과제에 대해 알아본다.

Changes in the Labor Market and Response Strategies of Construction Automation Services -Focused on purpose, implication, and strategy- (건설 자동화 서비스로 인한 노동시장의 변화와 대응전략 -목적, 시사점, 전략을 중심으로-)

  • This study discusses mass unemployment and job insecurity due to the 4th industrial revolution and technological progress. In particular, the construction automation service method can contribute to increasing work productivity, preventing on-site safety accidents, and enhancing the competitiveness of the construction industry according to rapid development and convergence between technologies. However, there is great concern that the position of workers will decrease and the income distribution will deteriorate. Therefore, this study is necessary to alleviate the anxiety of the labor market and to find a direction for the government and all walks of life to ponder. To carry out this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with two experts currently engaged in the construction field, and through analysis, we intend to derive meaning and identify current trends, identify necessary improvement measures and institutional areas and suggest research directions. As a result of the analysis, it is possible to suggest a response strategy in a total of three themes: purpose, implication, and strategy. Based on this, there are response strategies in four areas: (1) industrial site response, (2) worker response, (3) education, and (4) training response, and government and corporate response. Through this study, it is necessary to revitalize economic and sociological discussions in the future so that the improvement in productivity and efficiency of society as a whole due to technological innovation of construction automation services does not lead to social problems such as an increase in the unemployment rate and a decrease in jobs in the labor market.

  • 막대한 비용을 들여 모든 건설공사에서 시행하는 지반조사의 결과물을 현재는 종이문서 형태로 각 관리주체가 개별적으로 보관하고 있어 재활용과 공유가 거의 이루어지고 있지 않은 실정이다. 이를 데이터베이스화하여 웹을 통해 서비스함으로써 효과적인 저장과 활용을 유도할 수 있다. 그 일환으로 현재 웹 기반의 지반정보 통합 D/B 시스템을 구축, 운영 중에 있다. 현재는 지방국토관리청이나 공사현장과 같이 지반정보가 발생하는 기관 및 현장을 직접 방문하여 지반조사 결과물을 수집한 후 이를 전산화와 검수를 실시해 시스템에 반영을 하는 방식으로 지반정보를 데이터베이스화하고 있지만, 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되고 수집에 한계가 있어 이를 개선하기 위한 자동화시스템의 도입이 검토되고 있다. 지반정보의 수집, 전산화, 검수, 웹서비스의 일련 과정을 보다 자동화시키고, 효과적이며, 수집범위를 획기적으로 넓힐 수 있는 방안으로 웹 기반의 입력자동화 시스템 도입, 지반정보 관리 주체의 직접 입력 지침 마련, 입력 실무자에 대한 권한 부여와 사용자 교육 등에 대한 전략을 본 연구를 통해 모색해 보았다.

  • 디지털당안관을 건설하는 주요한 목표는 디지털당안 관리, 디지털당안관의 조작 및 전통당안의 디지털화에 대해 완전한 해결 방안을 제시하여 선진응용 시스템을 개발하고, 유관한 업무 규칙과 기준을 건립하며, 각 유형의 디지털 자료창고를 건설하는 것이다. 또한 그것의 최종목적은 당안관 관장의 정보에 디지털식 관리를 실현하고, 인터넷 서비스를 통하여 독자들이 언제 어디서나 열람할 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 주요 특징은 정보관리의 디지털화 자동화 서비스의 네트워크화와 다양화 정보내용의 광범성인데, 예를 들어 각 종의 매체 정보, 정보의 저장과 사용자 방문이 지역적인 제한을 받지 않는다. 정보자원의 집산처로서 당안관이 네트워크 운행을 실시하는 것은 필연적이며 필수적인 것이기 때문에 사회 발전의 수요에 따라 당안관은 새로운 운영 모델을 찾아 네트워크사회에서의 경쟁능력을 높여 사회대중을 위해 서비스하고 이로써 미래 사회의 공중 정보의 중심이 될 것이다.

Development of an Integrated IaaS+PaaS Environment for Providing Cloud Computing Service in a BIM Platform for Harbor Facilities (항만 BIM 플랫폼의 클라우드 서비스를 위한 IaaS+PaaS 통합 환경 개발)

  • Because the existing BIM platform is based on user services, the focus is on the development of SaaS (Software as a Service), which provides business services online. However, since a harbor is a security facility, the harbor BIM platform is preferably provided in a private form, rather than relying on the infrastructure environment provided by external cloud providers. Therefore, this study analyzes and reviews the main functions to be provided as SaaS services of the harbor BIM platform. The goal is to build a cloud-based harbor BIM platform that can provide this service to users. To this end, we built IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) environment of the harbor BIM platform based on the open source Open Stack and integrate and develop PaaS environment with Open Shift applied with IaaS. We applied the GPU to the harbor BIM platform to verify the performance of the harbor BIM platform, and found that the rendering and loading times are improved. In particular, it is expected to reduce the cost of introduction and provide it as the basic cloud environment of similar BIM platform for infrastructure facilities.

  • KCTA(Korea Container Terminal Authority) is going to introduce automated operating system in the port of Gwangyang container terminal to enhance the efficiency. Prior to developing the container terminal, defining the objective of container terminal operation is essential. This research used AHP technique to define the operation objective of automated container terminal objectively, and the questionnaire to collect the opinions of future customer, operator and research institution. The objectives mix of the automated container terminal are composed of the minimization of initial investments, the minimization of operational expenses, the performance of automation system, the raising of operation efficiency and productivity and the improvement of customer service. The result of the analysis revealed that most important factor among objectives mix was “the minimization of operation expense”. Especially, the user group preferred to select the factor of “the improvement of customer service”as objective rather than select other objectives. The result of this research will suggest some guidelines for deciding the level of investment of terminal construction. information system, automation equipment, terminal worker and etc., which are to be considered in terminal development and the system development hereafter.

A Study on the Perception of the Subjects about Automated Container Terminal (컨테이너터미널 자동화에 대한 관련 주체별 인식연구)

  • The production of larger of ships is a survival strategy for global shipping companies to pursue the economics of scale. According to this strategy, to respond to this situation, many containers are loading/unloading simultaneously in the hub port. Additionally, the container terminals are promoting the introduction of automation to expand the terminal facilities and increase efficiency/productivity of the container yards. European ports have introduced automation to address rising labor costs and shortages of labor. Recently, the construction of fully automated container terminals is increasing in the United States and China to resolve problems such as the slow growth of the global economy, the emergence of large ships, air pollution, and safety accidents. Domestic ports are at an early stage compared to the world's advanced container terminals, and countermeasures are being prepared to respond to the changing ports. However, research on the recognition difference analysis that examines the opinions of stakeholders is insufficient. As a result of analyzing the recognition among the groups, it was found that container terminal operators reduced labor costs, improved shipping services for shipping companies, prevented safety accidents for port union labor, and increased service for port authority and government agencies. Thus, to closely examine the perception among the groups, one-way ANOVA was performed, and then the implications were deduced as the basic data for the smooth introduction of automation.

Design of Browser for The Harbor BIM Service Based on Cloud Computing (클라우드 컴퓨팅 기반 항만 BIM 서비스를 위한 브라우저 설계)

  • The port BIM technology has many problems such as lack of relevant system, high cost of BIM infrastructure construction, and process difference of existing domestic inter-industry. Since the port facilities as national key industries are managed and operated by public organizations, it is necessary to integrate IT resources and have a system that needs collective construction and joint utilization management. In this paper, we proposed the convergence of cloud computing technology and BIM as a way to reduce the infrastructure cost required for port BIM operation and to provide various BIM services for domestic process. To do this, we collected system requirements based on demand surveys of port staff and designed a BIM browser that provides IFC-based BIM server and customized services to reduce infrastructure cost in cloud computing environment. In terms of infrastructure, we designed cloud-based IaaS to support cost reduction, which is an essential component, and designed SaaS to support customized services in terms of services. We will perform performance verification with focus on whether port BIM servers and browsers have reached a level where they can manage four BIM models with different types and capacities.

해양교통시설 운영관리 시스템 구축 및 체계화 방안에 관한 연구

  • 항만건설 및 운영에서 해양교통시설의 설치와 운영은 해상충돌방지 및 안전에서 매우 중요한 인자이다. 그리고, 해상교통시설의 설치 및 운영은 IMO SOLAS 5장 제13조에 의하여 당국의 의무사항으로 규정되어 있다. 해양교통시설은 과거의 시각적(광학, 형상) 시설에서 AIS, DGPS 및 기타 전파표지 등을 활용한 e-Navigation의 개념으로 발전하고 있다. 그러나 해양교통의 자동화 흐름에도 선박의 안전한 항해를 위한 광파표지 및 형상표지의 역할은 여전히 절대적이다. 본 연구에서는 시각표지의 운영관리 효율을 향상시키기 위한 해양교통시설 서비스수준의 결정방법으로 해상교통관련 전체 시설을 하나의 관리시스템으로 조합하고 더욱 효율적인 시스템 관리방안으로서 해양교통시설 운영률을 제안하였다. 그리고, 선행연구에서 제안된 해양교통시설시스템에 관해 위험관리모델의 적용으로 검증을 수행하고 체계화시키기 위한 방안을 도출하고자 하였다.

Blockchain Applications in Construction

  • Construction is one of the oldest fields of providing human living comfort. However, despite the continuous development not only in IT but also in other fields, productivity degradation due to low automation is still serious. In particular, the use of the 4th industrial revolution technologies in construction is just beginning. Blockchain, which is one of the 4th industrial revolution technologies, is a type of a distributed database that is used to replicate, share, and synchronize data spread across different geographical locations, such as multiple sites, countries, or organizations. In this paper, we introduce the block chain and analyze use cases according to seven themes in construction. As a result of the analysis, it is expected to increase the understanding of blockchain in construction and provide usefulness for the development of various services in the future.
