A Study on Consideration Factors of Traffic Safety Assessment on the Bridge Design-I (해상교량 건설을 위한 선박통항 안전성 검토요소에 관한 연구-I)

  • From the viewpoint of navigation safety, it would be best if it's possible to build a bridge whose main span is wide enough, however, sometimes it may not be possible due to geographical or economic reason To construct the bridge on the shipping route, consideration factors for marine traffic safety must be investigated and examined from the viewpoint of marine traffic engineering. This study aims to secure marine traffic safety and maintain smoothly traffic flow through assessment qf these factors. As the first step, examination factors such as traffic volume, ship size and bridge width were assessed quantitatively using marine traffic flow simulation technique.

양성자가속기연구센터의 강입자 이용시설 현황

  • 2002년 21세기 프론티어 연구개발사업으로 착수한 양성자기반공학기술개발사업이 2012년말 완료되었다. 이 사업을 통하여 이온원, RFQ, DTL, 초전도 가속관, 빔라인, 고주파 시스템, 제어 시스템 등 양성자 및 이온 가속기의 핵심 요소기술을 개발하고 100 MeV 선형 양성자가속기 및 이온가속기를 제작하여 경주에건설한 양성자속기연구센터에 설치하고 사업을 마무리하였다. 2013년 상반기에 냉각시스템 등 부대시설의 시운전, 양성자가속기와 20 MeV 및 100 MeV 빔라인 각 1기를 포함한 모든 시설의 시운전을 마무리하고, 한국원자력안전기술원의 방사선안전시설검사를 거쳐 7월부터 운영을 착수하였다. 양성자가속기는 2013년말 까지 총 2,290 시간을 가동하여 937건의 이용자 빔 서비스를 제공하였다. 기체, 금속, 대전류 이온을 공급할 수 있는 이온가속기 3대는 기업체의 공정 및 제품개발을 위한 이용을 중심으로 622건의 이용자 빔 서비스를 제공하였다. 2014년도는 양성자가속기는 연간 2,500 시간 가동, 빔 서비스 1,100건을 목표로 하고 있으며, 현재 20 MeV 및 100 MeV 각 1기인 뿐인 빔라인 증설을 준비하고자 한다. 이온가속기는 상반기에만 이용자 빔 서비스를 제공하고 2014년 11월 완공될 빔이용연구동으로 이전 설치하여 보다 양질의 이온빔을 공급할 수 있도록 장치를 보완 할예정이다. 더불어 2015년에는 3 MeV 헬륨빔과 1 MeV 기체 이온빔을 제공할 수 있는 장치도 추가로 설치할 예정이다. 빔이용연구동 및 이온가속기 업그레드가 완료되면 보다 다양한 양질의 이온빔을공급하여, 특히 중소기업의 제품 개발에 도움을 줄 수 있도록노력할 예정이다. 양성자가속기연구센터는 장기 비전인 펄스형 중성자원의 구축을 실현하고자 노력을 지속할 것이다. 미국의 SNS 및 일본의 J-PARC 파쇄 중성자원은우수한 연구 성과를 생산하기 시작하였고 우리나라도 이에 대한 수요가 생겨나도 있다. 충분한 수요가 형성되면 이미 확보한 부지와 초전도 가속기 기술을 활용하여 단시간 내에 펄스형 중성자원 구축이 가능할 것이다. 펄스형 중성자원이 구축되면 양성자가속기연구센터는 당초 목표한 양성자, 중성자 및 다양한 종의 이온을 한 사이트에서 제공하여, 입자빔을 이용한 다양한 연구개발에서 상당한 시너지 효과를 낼 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Suitable Site Prediction of Erosion Control Dam by Sediment (산지사면에 있어서 퇴사량에 의한 사방댐의 시공적지 예측)

  • This study was carried out to analyze the characteristics of forest environmental and stream morphological factors by using the quantification theory (I) for prediction of the suitable dam site. The results obtained from this study were summarized as follows; The selection of suitable site for erosion control dam was estimated by normalized score of each category. And the prediction method of suitable site for erosion control dam divided into class I (Very suitable site), II (Suitable site), and III (Poor suitable site) for the convenience of use. In conclusion, if we select the suitable site for construction of erosion control dam for disaster prevention, we could save the loss of tremendous budget, avoid the poor suitable site due to subjective judgment, and it would promote the functions of erosion control dam.

  • Recently, various information and data are efficiently used by the rapid growth of its Internet in our real life. But, users have spent lots of time finding necessary information for the increased amounts of information. To solve this problem, it can be provided the speed, accuracy of information search with development of intelligent search engines, agent system etc. In this paper, we propose the method of getting the best tender price in the analysis of the construction bid information that needs its professionalism by on the purpose to maximize users' satisfaction. Of course, if it is not under the unit of a results in the future, we put target of this paper on part to heighten supreme successful bid success rate. Therefore, this paper embodies offered system of web based on producing tender price of most suitable through techniques to produce tender price about successful bid that compare with bidder fare by statistical analysis incidental and value approaching successful bidder fare by frequency analysis method.

  • Bridge has to be long-spanned and of simple structure, considering the social environment. As a result of this trend in bridge construction, it is important for the sake of economical efficiency to improve the structural system and increase the life cycle of a bridge. To attain these goals in constructing a steel bridge, the detail analyses based on real structure must be performed. In the steel structure bridge, the parts that are a main focus of interest are the diaphragm and the vertical bracing of the steel box girder support. This study observed the behavior of the diaphragms on the bearings of a closed section steel box girder bridge support, as dead load was increased. Stress variation of the support diaphragms in a steel box girder was considered, and both experimental test and structural analyses were performed to verify the behavior of a composite steel box girder bridge under repair or maintenance.

  • In order to perform scientific evaluation of dredge results, it is needed to construct the system which is able to manage and evaluate the work process by monitoring in real-time the dredge process such as dredge ship position, dredge depth and dredge volume. This research aims to develop the hydrographic dredge surveying system adding water depth measurement method to both precise positioning and navigation methods using GPS, which allows a high rate of measurement and long distances between the control point and dredging points, operate in all weather conditions, and does not require line of sight to points. We constructed Beacon DGPS-based hydrographic dredger guidance and position management system and developed the operation program which makes the dredge operation perform as monitoring work situation in real-time. It is expected that this developed system will be able to contributes to reducing ultimately the cost in hydrographic dredging or hydrographic construction industries.

  • A wheel loader is a type of construction machinery that is capable of performing a variety of tasks, and demands on its functional diversity and structural reliability are growing. A wheel bearing is one of the core components that determine the life of the loader; taper roller bearings are commonly used for this purpose. The lifetime of a bearing is typically calculated based only on its load and revolution speed. The initial preload of a taper roller bearing is a critical factor that directly affects its endurance life. In this study, the relations between the endurance life and preload characteristics including the amount of preload according to the weight, rotational speed, and thermal modification applied to tapered roller bearings are presented. When the temperature is $100^{\circ}C$, an excessive preload condition is expected compared with that at room temperature, and the durable life decreases by 20.3 %.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 한국건설기술연구원에서 운영하는 설마천 시험유역을 대상으로 신뢰성 있는 수문자료를 지속적으로 수집하여 정확한 물 순환 과정을 규명하는데 있다. 강우량, 수위, 유속, 유량, 수질, 부유사량, 기상 등의 기본적인 수문관측 자료를 축적하는 것과 수집된 자료를 이용하여 유역의 유출특성 분석, 수문관측 기술개발과 각종 관측기기의 적합성 검증과 측정방법을 개선하는데 있다. 설마천 시험유역 수문관측은 해마다 노후화된 관측기기의 교체 및 추가 설치, 실시간 전송장비의 보완 및 운영, 각 관측소당 2종 이상의 동시 관측자료 확보 등을 통해 자료의 결측을 최소화하였으며, 정확도를 개선하여 양질의 자료를 생성할 수 있었다. 관측된 우량과 수위 자료에 대하여 일상적인 자료 검토 및 처리 과정을 보다 구체적으로 체계화하여 자료의 질이 향상될 수 있도록 하였으며, 특히 유량 측정 및 산정 방법을 국제 기준에 준하여 수행하여 보다 정도 높은 유량측정성과를 확보할 수 있었다. 이렇게 다각적인 방법으로 안정적인 관측 자료를 확보한 결과, 동절기를 제외한 전적비교와 사방교에서 무결측의 유역평균우량과 유량자료를 구축할 수 있었다. 그리고, 본 연구에서는 실시간 전송장비와 설마천 시험유역 홈페이지(http://kict.datapcs.co.kr)를 통해 실시간으로 우량과 수위 자료를 인터넷과 PCS로 확인할 수 있도록 시스템을 운영하였으며, 이로 인해 언제 어디서나 설마천 시험유역의 현장상황을 신속하게 파악할 수 있도록 하여 자료의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 기반을 구축하여 운영 중에 있다. 본 시험유역의 주요 연구 내용으로는 수문 기상관측, 수문 기상자료 정리 검토, 기본 수문특성 분석, 수문관측방법의 비교 검토 등을 수행하였으며, 기본 수문특성 분석 내용으로는 호우사상 현황 분석, 지속기간별 최대 강우량 분석, 2종 우량계간의 강우량 비교, 6개 지점간 강우량 비교, 주요 호우사상의 시 공간적 분포 특성, 연간, 월별, 주요 호우사상별 유출률 분석과 부유사량 및 수질분석 등을 수행하였으며, 이로써 산지 소하천 유역의 물 순환 과정을 보다 명확히 규명하고자 노력하였다.

Optimum Service Life Management Based on Probabilistic Life-Cycle Cost-Benefit Analysis (확률론적 생애주기비용-이익분석 기반 수명관리 최적화 기법)

  • Engineering structures including civil infrastructures require a life-cycle cost and benefit during their service lives. The service life of a structure can be extended through appropriate inspection and maintenance actions. In general, this service life extension requires more life-cycle cost and cumulative benefit. For this reason, structure managers need to make a rational decision regarding the service life management considering both the cost and benefit simultaneously. In this paper, the probabilistic decision tool to determine the optimal service life based on cost-benefit analysis is presented. This decision tool requires an estimation of the time-dependent effective cost-benefit under uncertainty to formulate the optimization problem. The effective cost-benefit is expressed by the difference between the cumulative benefit and life-cycle cost of a deteriorating structure over time. The objective of the optimization problem is maximizing the effective cost-benefit, and the associated solutions are the optimal service life and maintenance interventions. The decision tool presented in this paper can be applied to any deteriorating engineering structure.

Application of Electronic Deck Charge Blasting Method to a Vertical Shaft Excavation (수직구 굴착시 전자뇌관을 이용한 Deck-Charge 발파 시공사례)

  • This case study deals with an excavation blasting carried out at "Sooseo-Pyeongtek ${\bigcirc}$-${\bigcirc}$ section construction site" in the vicinity of residential area. Originally, the sequential blasting (multi-stage blasting) using electric detonators was planed in this area. However, there was a concern that the sequential blasting method could increase the construction cost by delaying the construction period due to possible complaints from local residents. As an alternative, electronic deck blasting technique was taken in order to meet the ground vibration regulation (0.2cm/s, in apartment area) and to keep the construction schedule. The performance of the electronic deck charge blasting was two times better than the sequential blasting with electric detonators and the level of ground vibration was also within the regulatory value (0.2cm/s). In particular, it was shown that the use of electronic detonater eDevII, which was developed for tunnel, could provide more convenient and electrically safer working condition.
