  • Currently, the prefabricated bridge having the effects to reduce the term of works and the cost of construction is often studied and countries such as America have already developed members, the parts of it, and the technique of construction. In addition, they have supplied them to the fields. The study of prefabricated method of steel composite bridge, which has the precast deck - plate and main girder fixed by high tension bolt and can resist horizontal sheer, is being progressed. However, it is difficult to understand the characteristics of the prefabricated bridge's behavior when the superstructure of the prefabricated method is analyzed by applying to the analysis model of existing bridges. Therefore, this study has the purpose of understanding real structural behavior of prefabricated bridge through comparison and analysis between the structural analysis model reflecting the characteristics of the real prefabricated bridge's superstructure and real size experiment.

  • Fashion is a visual means of expressing identity, position, marital status, personal inclination, etc. along with beauty, and it is an important practical cultural heritage that can infer past lifestyle habits. In modern society, fashion such as women's suits, high heels, hats, gloves, handbags, necklaces, etc., as well as beauty such as hair, make-up and nail art. It is a model of innovative women's prize and presented a sample of femininity that responds to the radical development of science and technology in the 21st century. Therefore, it is a driving force for a genuine gender equality society. It serves as a stepping stone for futuristic future design. This study, which analyzed the factors of women's sexuality from the viewpoint of beauty college students in the fashion style of the newcomers, makes it possible to present a sample of women' s sexuality that establishes constructive self - help theory. It is thought that a solid foundation of femininity will be provided.

Evaluation of the Mechanical Characteristics of the Large Stone Asphalt Mixtures (대입경 혼합물의 역학적 특성 평가)

  • This study presents the mechanical characteristics, such as the permanent deformation and the crack, of the large stone asphalt mixtures. The large stone mixture was studied by Kandhal at NCAT(National Center for Asphalt Technology) in 1989. Japan and Arabian countries adopted the large stone mixture for the pavement construction. The experience and the study results showed that the interlocking of the aggregate system of the large stone mixtures is stable and less dependent on the binder characteristics in high temperature. These properties are known as the rutting resistant parameters. However, the mechanical test results should be supported to prove the benefits of the large stone mixtures. The creep test, resilient modulus tests on three different temperature, wheel tracking test and ravelling tests were conducted to evaluate the performance of the large stone mixtures in this study. The test results were compared with the conventional mixtures and modified asphalt concrete mixtures. The large stone mixtures showed better rutting resistance performance.

  • In this research, static load test is performed to verify the arch effect and structural performance of CFTA(Concrete-Filled and Tied steel tubular Arch) girder, and FE(Finite Element) analysis is performed to investigate validity of the test result. CFTA girder is designed to maximize the benefit of each material, such as steel plate, filled concrete and PS tendon. Static load test is performed based on the frame-analysis result of 12m sample miniature model. The result of static load test is that structural performance and safety of CFTA girder are confirmed and there is different deflection mode with other structural form result from arch effect. FE analysis with ABAQUS is also performed to show the validity of the truck collision safety and static load test.

Analytical Study on Structural Behaviors of Post-Tensioned Column-Base Connections for Steel Modular Structures (철골 모듈러 구조물의 포스트텐션 기둥-바닥 접합부 거동에 대한 해석적 연구)

  • Modular structures are relatively lightweight compared to reinforced-concrete or steel structures. However, it is difficult to achieve structural integrity between the columns of unit modules in a modular structure, which causes undesirable effects on the lateral force resistance capacity against wind and earthquake loads. This is more prominent in modular structures whose overall heights are greater. Hence, a post-tensioned modular structural system is proposed herein to improve the lateral force resistance capacity of a typical modular structure. A post-tensioned column-base connection, which is the main component of the proposed modular structural system, is configured with shapes and characteristics that allow inducing self-centering behaviors. Finite element analysis was then performed to investigate the hysteretic behaviors of the post-tensioned column-base connection. The analysis results show that the hysteretic behaviors are significantly affected by the initial tension forces and beam-column connection details at the base.

  • 기상학적 측면에서 강수 부족으로 인한 수생태환경(하천), 호소환경(저수지) 및 유역환경(중권역)으로 미치는 환경학적 가뭄의 영향을 평가하기 위한 시도는 매우 중요하다. 만약 동일한 규모의 강수부족 현상이 발생할지라도, 환경적 측면에서의 수질 및 수생태에 미치는 영향이 매우 큰 유역이 있고, 반면 어느 정도의 복원력을 유지할 수 있는 유역이 있을 것이다. 즉, 서로 다른 유역환경에 따라 가뭄으로 인한 환경적 영향은 달라질 가능성이 크며, 이처럼 환경적 가뭄에 취약한 지역을 위해서는 지속적인 환경가뭄 모니터링이 중요하다. 환경적 측면에서 가뭄의 영향을 평가하기 위해서는 다양한 수질 관련 항목을 연계한 환경가뭄 감시가 중요하며, 이와 더불어 가뭄과 관련한 다양한 이해관계자 간의 효율적인 의사결정 도구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다양한 시나리오 정보를 제공할 수 있는 베이지안 네트워크 모형을 적용하여 환경가뭄 민감도 평가 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 본 모형에서는 수질 문제가 가장 심하게 대두되고 있는 낙동강 유역을 대상으로, 기상학적 가뭄에 의한 수생태 및 환경 관련 변수들(BOD, T-P, TOC)의 복잡한 상호의존성을 파악할 수 있는 베이지안 네트워크 모형을 활용하였다. 또한, 기상학적 가뭄에 의한 상류와 하류 간의 환경적 영향을 연계하여 해석하기 위한 모형을 구축하였다. 그 결과, 기상학적 가뭄으로 인한 환경적 민감도가 크게 나타나는 중권역(예: 임하댐유역)과 이와 반대인 중권역(예: 병성천유역)의 구분이 가능하였다. 또한, 상류에서 발생한 심한 기상학적 가뭄이 하류 지역 내 환경적인 영향을 지속할 가능성이 있음을 확인되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제안한 방법은 환경적 가뭄의 취약지역을 우선 선정하고, 나아가 상-하류 간의 환경적 가뭄을 감시하는 데 있어 활용도가 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) is a relatively new material in the bridge construction. With high strength to weight ratios, excellent durability, and low life-cycle costs of FRP, FRP bridge decks can offer a low dead load, reduced maintenance, and long service life. Due to the lightweight of FRP, if existing concrete decks can be replaced with the FRP decks, the load carrying capacity of superstructure can be increased without strengthening of girders. In this study, we have conducted an experiment on 7 cases of connection conditions with steel girder by using bolts considering a rational and economical method of connection and compared with the results of FEM analysis. From the experimental result, if the bolts are strong enough to resist shear force between the FRP bridge deck and the steel girder, it will be structurally secure to use the zigzag method.

  • In Korea, driven piles are generally penetrated up to weathered rock or harder strata. Friction piles have been used to some extent in the southwest coastal area with deep soils; however, friction piles are not extensively due to uncertainties about construction quality. The embedded pile construction method is primarily used due to noise and vibration complaints. However, in Southeast Asian countries (e.g., Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam), where soft sediments are deep, the driven pile method is commonly used due to its economic advantages. Construction companies are increasingly entering overseas construction markets, e.g., Southeast Asia; thus, it is necessary to understand the behavior of driven friction piles in the soil and improve on-site engineering management to gain market competitiveness in these countries. In this study, the bearing capacity of friction piles driven into clayey coastal soils in Vietnam with time-dependent characteristics was evaluated based on the dynamic and static pile load tests. Based on the results, a modified Danish formula is proposed for on-site quality management.

Study on Coordinate Transformation of Railroad Central Linear-line Using the Railroad Reference Points (철도기준점을 이용한 철도중심선형 좌표변환에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper through Honan high-speed railroad which is planned with the north and south axis, we will verify the feasibility of the coordinate conversion using railroad control points after regarding current planned-railroad as the linear central axises. From analysis, distortion of Y axis varies 21 cm to 40 cm diminishing to a gentle straight line, distortion of X axis varies 14 cm to 29 cm. Through a revision, the deviation value between the coordinates were 6 mm to 9 mm and it satisfied the allowable error of national geographic information institute which is following ITRF (International Terrestrial Reference Frame) and cadastral boundary survey (10 cm). consequently the coordinate conversion is possible using railroad control points as common control points.

Assessment of FEED Structure and Functions for Project Management of Thermal Power Plant Construction (사업관리 관점의 FEED 업무 프로세스 구조 및 항목 평가 - 화력발전소를 중심으로 -)

  • FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) is the key area that determines the competitiveness of procurement and construction in the EPC contracts especially in terms of the added value. Nevertheless, previous researches in FEED have been limited to the process and deliverable of design work or the particular management business function (e.g. System Engineering, collaboration, information etc.). In this context, the purpose of this study is to propose a comprehensive FEED structure and its functions from the project management perspective throughout the whole project life-cycle for thermal power plants. Proposed FEED business procedures are classified into three levels; First level is the classification of FEED business phases, the second level defines major FEED management functions, and the third level is detailed FEED functions. A survey using proposed FEED functions and assessment variable was conducted in order to analyze the current status and the areas for future improvement. It is expected that the proposed structure, functions, and evaluation methodology for FEED management will contribute to effective practice of FEED as well as to improvement of competitive capability for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies.
