A Study on Change Trajectories of Self-Rated Health in Middle Aged: Longitudinal Study Using Latent Class Growth Analysis (중·장년기 주관적 건강상태의 변화궤적 유형과 예측요인 탐색: 잠재계층성장분석(LCGA)을 이용한 종단연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore change trajectories patterns of Self-Rated Health in middle aged, to identify socioeconomic factors, self-esteem, family relationship factors, and to identify relevant predictors. For this purpose, the 2,418 middle aged, who married couples were extracted from the 2nd to 12st waves of Korea Welfare Panel Survey data. The data analysis included Latent Class Growth Analysis, multiple logistic regression. The change trajectories patterns of self-rated health in middle aged were classified into four types: (1) high state-retained type(46.3%), (2) low state-retained type(19.6%), (3) reduced type(17.5%), (4) increasing type(16.6%). Despite the control of chronic diseases that are closely related to health, when the low state-retained type, which is a crisis group, was set as the reference group for the self-rated health, the economic participation, self-esteem and satisfaction of the family relationship had a more inadequate effect than the high state-retained type. Likewise, when the reduced type, which is a crisis group, was set as the reference group for the self-rated health, the economic participation, self-esteem, satisfaction of the family relationship, and family stress had a more effect than the increasing type. Based on the analysis results, this study suggest political and practical intervention to maintain the proper health, and the details are as follows.

A Convergence Study on the Relationship between Food Preferences and Intrinsic Motivation of Rural Tourism (농촌관광의 내재적동기와 음식선호에 대한 융복합 연구)

  • The purpose of research is to suggest the direction of rural tourism and food products by looking at the relevance of the intrinsic motivation and food preference. Through the analysis, factors of 'leisure oriented', 'family oriented', 'relationship oriented', 'health oriented', and food preference 'cooking health', 'material function', 'local resource' and 'consume experience' were extracted. Through the correlation analysis, 'leisure and health oriented' was found to be significant with cooking health, 'relationship and health oriented' was significant with material function, 'leisure, family and relationship oriented' was significant with local resource and 'relationship oriented' was significant with consume experience. Therefore, tourists who want rest, healing and health need to provide healthy dishes, tourists who want family and leisure provide local or special dishes, and tourists who want to have a relationship with people need to provide functional foods or herbal medicine dishes. Food products that meet the needs of tourists will induce revisit by increasing tourist satisfaction and bring economic revitalization of the region through the expansion of rural tourism.

A Study on the Effect of Family Strength on School Adjustment of Elementary Students and the Mediating Effect of Problem Solving Skills (가족건강성이 초등학생의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향 및 문제해결능력의 매개효과)

  • This study is to explore the effect of family strength and solving skills on school adjustment of elementary school students. To attain this purpose, it utilized the data which examine 2,422 elementary students who participate in school social work in S City. The data collected is analyzed by frequency, correlation, regression with SPSS 20 program. The result of this study is as follows. Firstly, there was significant correlation among family strength, problem solving skills, school adjustment Secondly, family strength directly affected the students without the mediator variable on school adjustment. Lastly, family strength had a decisive effect on school adjustment through problem solving skills. Based on this results in the study, we need a strategy of sustainable family strength and solving skills in order to help school adjustment.

The Effects of Stress on Happiness in University Students -Moderating Effects of Family Healthiness- (대학생의 스트레스가 행복감에 미치는 영향 -가족건강성의 조절효과-)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the moderating effect of family healthiness between stress and happiness. For this purpose, data were collected from 400 university students, and analyzed 381 valid ones. The SPSS 18.0 program was used to analyze the statistical data such as correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, positive perception stress had a significant positive effect on the happiness. But negative perception stress had a significant negative effect on the happiness. Second, family healthiness had a significant positive effect on the happiness. Third, family healthiness hadn't moderating effect within the relationship of positive perception stress and happiness. But family healthiness had moderating effect within the relationship of negative perception stress and happiness. Based on the results of this study, the importance of family healthiness for improving happiness and reducing negative perception stress, the implications and limitations are discussed.

The effects of adolescents' perceived family strength and social support on their adaptation to school life (청소년이 지각하는 가족건강성과 사회적지지가 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study sought to examine the mediating effect of social support in the relationship between adolescents' family strength and school life adjustment. For this purpose, a survey was conducted from May 2023 to June 2023 on youth attending middle and high schools in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and statistical analysis was performed on the data of 768 people without missing data using SPSS 21.0 program. The results of this study were as follows. First, the family strength perceived by adolescents was found to have a significant positive effect on school life adaptation. Second, the family strength perceived by adolescents was found to have a significant positive effect on social support. Third, social support was found to have a positive and significant effect on school life adaptation. Fourth, social support showed a partial mediating effect in the relationship between adolescents' perceived family strength and school life adjustment. These research results have implications in that they provide empirical evidence to help adolescents adapt well to school life based on healthy family relationships. In addition, we hope that this will serve as a practical basis for the use of parent education programs and family counseling programs that help adolescents adapt well to school life by eliciting social support through positive family functions at home.

The family differentiation level, quality of family relationship, and intimacy (가족분화수준, 가족관계의 질 및 친밀감간의 관계)

  • The present study investigated the relationship among the level of family differentiation, quality of family relationship, and intimacy with their partners in 381 adult children. First, this study examined the relationship between the level of family differentiation and quality of family relationship. The result showed that the level of family differentiation was positively and significantly correlated to quality of family relationship. This finding indicated that family differentiation may be used for an objective and useful index to measure the dynamics of emotional system and the level of family-of-origin emotional health. Second, the influence of the family of origin was studied through exploring the relationship between the level of differentiation of family of origin, and adult children's intimacy with their partners. It was found that the family differentiation level was positively and significantly related to adult children's intimacy with their partners at each subsystem, but family differentiation levels of parents more influenced on adult male's intimacy than on adult female's intimacy with their partners.

The Moderating Effects of Self-Efficacy in the Relations of Family Relationship and Adolescent's Smartphone Addiction

  • The main purpose of this study is to check whether the family relationship of adolescents has an impact on smartphone addiction and to verify of direct effects and moderating effects in according to self-efficacy. The survey was conducted to the adolescents who were second grade middle school students with 318 subjects in G metropolitan city. This study results found the followings: Family relationship and selfe-efficacy revealed direct influence on smartphone addiction. Moreover, the self-efficacy check the moderating effect of do family relationship on smartphone addiction. The results of this study are significant in that they demonstrated the influence of family relationship and self-effect on smartphone addiction and imply that self-efficacy can decrease or prevent smartphone addiction from family relationship problem.

The Effect of Emphatic Ability and Family Strengths on Happiness in Adolescents (청소년의 공감능력과 가족건강성이 행복감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore ways to help improve adolescents' happiness by exploring the influences of emphatic ability and family strengths on happiness. This subjects were 514 middle school students living in Gwangju. Data were collected from self-report questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS 22.0 program. The major findings were as follows; First, the adolescents' emphatic ability('viewpoint', 'identity', 'emphatic interest'), family strengths('family respect and affection', 'role sharing and problem solving', 'communication and bonds', 'financial stability') and happiness scores were higher than the median(3.00). Emphatic ability('viewpoint', 'identity', 'emphatic interest', 'personal suffering') and family strengths('communication and bonds') showed significant difference according to gender. Second, the adolescents' happiness was influenced by 'family respect and affection', 'role sharing and problem solving', 'financial stability', 'personal suffering', 'identity', and 'emphatic interest'. Adolescents' happiness was explained about 39% by these variables. In other words, the higher family respect and affection, both higher role sharing and problem solving and higher financial stability, with lower personal suffering and higher identity and higher emphatic interest showed the higher happiness. These findings demonstrate the emphatic ability and family strengths in adolescents influence on the level of happiness. As such, in order to improve the happiness of adolescents, it is necessary to energize those programs focus on the forming healthy family relationships and to design finance assistance programs that could attempt to minimise financial gap. Additionally, it is necessary to develop programs aimed to enhance emphatic ability and continue such programs in homes as well as at schools. Finally, it is necessary to implement curriculum that may improve family strengths and emphatic ability, which have influenced on the happiness in adolescents. Since the subject "Technology & Home Economics" helps to enhance family strengths, emphatic ability and eventually amplifies the happiness, it is necessary to expand and reinforce it as well as to make it a mandatory subject.

The Relationship Between Family Related Variables and Program in Healthy Family Support Business (가족관련 변인과 건강가족지원사업 프로그램의 관계)

  • This study set out from the perception that one should develop and activate differentiated programs from those 5 programs of the Health Family Support Center (family counseling program, family education support project, family affinity culture support project, care support project, diversity family support project) on the subjects (n=299) of residents in G metropolitan city by reflecting the levels of family values, communication between family members and family relationship. To achieve the study purposes above, this study devised research questions as follows: Research question 1. What are the levels of local residents for their family values, communication between family members and family relationship? Research question 2. Is there any difference in demanding family support project programs according to the local residents' family values, communication between family members and family relationship? Following are the results of this study: First, the levels were analyzed to be more than the average (on a maximum scale of 5 points) with local residents' family values (M=3.55, S.D.=.664), communication between family members (M=3.65, S.D.=.669), family relationship (M=3.69 S.D=.584) Second, the necessity levels for family values, communication between family members and family relationship of the group below the average as compared with the group over the average was found to be significantly high in family education support project, family affinity culture support project, care support project and diversity family support project except family counseling program. Accordingly, strategic plans for increasing the participation rate for the programs by the Health Family Support Center and activating those programs could be by investigating in advance the levels of family values, communication between family members and family relationship by each program respectively and differentiating the target level for the program by the group, or by giving preference to the group below the average who have high needs of program necessity when making decisions for the participation preference of the programs.

Effects of the Health Status of the Elderly on the Satisfaction of Life -Focused on the mediated effect of family support and gender differences- (노인의 건강상태가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 - 가족 지지의 매개효과와 성별 차이 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediated effect of family support and gender differences in the effects of the health status of the elderly on the satisfaction of life The research method is to analyze the data of 4,698 the elderly through SPSS V22.0 in the 12th edition of the Korea Welfare Panel(2017). First, First, subjective health status in health status has a positive effect on life satisfaction, and chronic disease has a negative effect. Second, in the health status and life satisfaction relationship of the elderly, the family support was found to have a positive mediating effect, and in the chronic disease and life satisfaction relationship, the family support had a negative mediating effect. Third, the effect of health status on life satisfaction has been shown to have a more positive effect on men than women, more negative effects on men than women in the effect of chronic diseases on life satisfaction, and more positive effects on men than women in the effect of family support.
