As social perceptions of pets change, cultural attitudes toward pets are becoming more friendly. In particular, dogs have been living familiarly and closely with humans for a long time. In the changing times, various services are being used to improve the understanding of dogs and to prevent companion dogs and increase awareness of respect for life. Therefore, in this paper, we implemented a smart lead line in which IoT service and application technology are linked to the walking dog's automatic lead line. To do this, we developed a smart dog lead line by designing and implementing an integrated module in connection with heterogeneous sensors and linking it with a dog lead line. Finally, a smart dog lead line was used to collect the dog's biological signals in real time, identify the location of the dog, and provide a notification system. Through this, we believe that the culture of dog culture can be further grown.

건강보험 재정위기는 장기적으로 누적되어 온 적자 요인에다 2000년 관리체계의 통합과 동시에 시행된 의약분업과 수가인상으로 일시에 재정수요가 집중되면서 발생하게 되었다는데 대한 분석에는 별다른 이견이 없다. 다만, 각각의 제도 변화가 어느 정도 영향을 미쳤는지에 대한 견해 차이를 갖는 정도이다.

어깨통증은 매우 흔한 질병이지만 원인과 증상이 다양해 잘못된 진단과 처치로 적당한 치료시기를 놓치기 쉽다. 파스를 붙이는 것에서부터 물리치료, 운동요법 등 병원을 찾기 전 환자 스스로 해볼 만한 여러 대안이 많다는 점도 이런 이유 중 하나다. 어깨통증은 간단한 방법으로 치료되거나 자연스레 낫기도 한다. 하지만 통증이 너무 오래 동안 지속되거나 악화되면 반드시 어깨를 전문으로 보는 병원을 찾아 진단을 받는 게 중요하다.

This study was performed to determine a comprehensive anatomic variation and deviation of the nasal septum in clinically normal dogs by use of computed tomography (CT). The nasal septum was evaluated in 36 shihtzu dogs and 16 beagle dogs. A degree of a septal deviation was evaluated by measuring a maximum angle and a distance of the septal deviation. The angle and distance of the septal deviation were significantly higher in shih-tzu dogs than in beagle dogs. There was no significant relationship between body weight and age and all measurements (angle and distance) in both breed dogs. Results of this study suggest that nasal septum deviation and its defect are observed on CT images of clinically normal dogs, especially in shih-tzu dogs.

실혈견(失血犬)에 있어서 염산(鹽酸)케타민 전신마취(全身麻醉)가 심전도(心電圖), 뇌파(腦波) 및 혈압(血壓)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 조사(調査)하였던 바 그 성적(成積)은 다음과 같았다. 심전도소견(心電圖所見)에 있어서는 동성빈맥(洞性頻脈)이 지속(持續)되었으나 심장조율(心臟調律)에는 특이(特異)한 변화(變化)가 나타나지 아니 하였다. 그러나 건강견(健康犬)에 있어서 염산(鹽酸)케타민 마취군(麻醉群)과 비교(比較)해서 파형(波形)의 변화(變化)와 S-T분절(分節)의 편위(偏位)가 경미(輕微)하게 있었으며 P-Q와 Q-T 간격(間隔)은 상대적(相對的)으로 다소(多少) 연장(延長) 되었다. 뇌파(腦波)는 건강견(健康犬)에 있어서의 염산(鹽酸)케타민 마취군(麻醉群)과 유사(類似)한 양상(樣相)을 보였으나, 그 진폭(振幅)은 약간 감소(減少)되었다. 혈압(血壓)은 마취후(麻醉後) 약간 하락(下落)되었으나 곧 마취전(麻醉前)으로 회복(恢復)되었으며, 악화(惡化)되지는 아니하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the safety and anti-inflammatory effects of borage oil on dogs. Twelve dogs were fed on a commercial diet of 1% or 2% borage oil alone for twelve weeks. To assess safety, the changes in body weight, blood cells, and immune-related cytokines were analyzed. The results showed that there was no significant difference in body weight, complete blood count (CBC), and immunomodulatory cytokines between the dogs fed with diets without or with borage oil. Also, there was no change in transepidermal water loss (TEWL). However, the amount of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) was reduced significantly in the dogs fed on a borage oil diet. In summary, the addition of borage oil to pet food did not result in any significant health issues. Moreover, borage oil could contribute to a reduction in cell damage in aged dogs although it did not decrease TEWL. Therefore, borage oil could be safe for use in pet foods.

Purpose: For the health of pet dogs and to reduce harm to humans, we investigated the preference of pet dogs on cushions made from functional ocher textile, which is known to be beneficial to human health. Methods: The preference of 12 small dogs between cushions made using functional ocher textile and normal yellow colored fabrics was observed. Results: The observation study showed 83.3% preference on cushions made from functional ocher textile where dogs rested or slept mostly. The biting behavior was improved by 83.3%. After using the functional cushions, four dogs with eye disease, one with eczema, and two with allergy showed improvements while others showed no improvement. After the experience, 50% of dogs became quieter. 87.5% of dogs showed more mild temperament. Conclusions: The functional ocher cushions showed preferences by dogs as well as brought positive improvements with the temperament and health conditions. This study proves to be a valuable fundamental research in this field of functional ocher cushions.

Animal companionship is gaining popularity in Korea, and interest in dog walking is also increasing as a strategy to maintain the physical and mental health of dogs and dog owners. The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and satisfaction of dog owners with the neighborhood environments for dog walking and to examine the willingness to pay (WTP) for an off-leash dog park. Of a total of 249 online survey respondents, 47.8% said they take a walk at least once a day and mainly walk around nearby neighborhoods or parks. Respondents showed a high attachment to their dogs and recognized that dog walks help increase physical activity and maintain the health of owners and their dogs. The satisfaction with neighborhood environments, such as attractive views and the connection of walking trails, was low, and there was a high demand for off-leash dog parks. The truncated mean WTP was estimated to be 85,618 Korean Won, and the result of regression analysis and t-test revealed that walking frequency and the satisfaction with dog walking facilities were statistically significant in the WTP. In order to encourage dog walking to promote physical activity and health, more attention needs to be devoted to improving neighborhood environments for dog walking.

The motions used in throwing place tremendous stresses on the soft tissues about the player's shoulder. In order to throw successfully, the shoulder complex must be capable of excessive motion, while maintaining stability of the glenohumeral joint. Injuries to the throwing player can result from acute trauma, but more commonly can be a result of overuse injuries from the repetitive throwing activity. Inbalance in the muscles and soft tissue about the shoulder can result in an injury secondary to abnormal biomechanics of the glenohumeral complex. The preventive measure a throwing player can take in order to maintain a healthy throwing shoulder is to participate in a regular shoulder strengthening program. It is when the muscles about the shoulder become imbalanced, secondary to either injury or relative weakness, that instability and injury can occur. By understanding the pitching motion and the relative contribution of the muscles, the treating physician has a framework on which to build knowledge regarding physical findings and diagnosis of shoulder injuries in throwing players. Once a diagnosis is made. a successful treatment plan may be developed for the player, including both conservative and , at time surgical means.
