Design of Heuristic Decision Tree (HDT) Using Human Knowledge (인간 지식을 이용한 경험적 의사결정트리의 설계)

  • Data mining is the process of extracting hidden patterns from collected data. At this time, for collected data which take important role as the basic information for prediction and recommendation, the process to discriminate incorrect data in order to enhance the performance of analysis result, is needed. The existing methods to discriminate unexpected data from collected data, mainly relies on methods which are based on statistics or simple distance between data. However, for these methods, the problematic point that even meaningful data could be excluded from analysis due that the environment and characteristic of the relevant data are not considered, exists. This study proposes a method to endow human heuristic knowledge with weight value through the comparison between collected data and human heuristic knowledge, and to use the value for creating a decision tree. The data discrimination by the method proposed is more credible as human knowledge is reflected in the created tree. The validity of the proposed method is verified through an experiment.

A Study of Relative Feeder-Cable Length and Vehicle Detection Length of Loop Detector (루프검지기의 휘더선길이와 차량검지길이의 관계 연구)

  • Loop detection systems have been used in real-time signal control system to collect traffic information for estimating queue lengths. The queue length algorithm uses speed as a key variable estimated from occupancy time and average vehicle length. The measurement of average vehicle length is affected from the lengths of feeder cable, but their effects have not yet been evaluated. In this study, the variability of average vehicle length due to the lengths of feeder cable is assessed through a field study, and a practical guidelines is proposed. By applying this result, the operational performance of real-time signal control system could be improved.

  • This paper proposes reinforcement learning to solve the node-disjoint path problem which establishes multipath for reliable data transmission in wireless ad-hoc networks. The node-disjoint path problem is a problem of determining a plurality of paths so that the intermediate nodes do not overlap between the source and the destination. In this paper, we propose an optimization method considering transmission distance in a large-scale wireless ad-hoc network using Q-learning in reinforcement learning, one of machine learning. Especially, in order to solve the node-disjoint path problem in a large-scale wireless ad-hoc network, a large amount of computation is required, but the proposed reinforcement learning efficiently obtains appropriate results by learning the path. The performance of the proposed reinforcement learning is evaluated from the viewpoint of transmission distance to establish two node-disjoint paths. From the evaluation results, it showed better performance in the transmission distance compared with the conventional simulated annealing.

  • In this paper, we present an efficient cooperative transmission scheme for high speed 60GHz WPAN system. In 60GHz, the cooperative transmission with relay is effective scheme because signals are exceedingly attenuated according to the distance and the transmission is impossible when there is no LOS between transmitter and receiver. Moreover, the reliability of signal in destination can be improved by receiving data from a relay as well as a transmitter. However, the overall data rate is reduced because transmission time is more required for relay. To solve this problem, we propose a cooperative transmission scheme with RS-CC serial concatenated codes. In the proposed cooperative transmission scheme, the relay can reduce the transmission data size because the only parity bits of systematic RS code are transmitted after encoding by CC. But the computational complexity is increased at the relay and the destination.

In this paper, the programs install the cable inserted in the rope a double bonded brake pipe to be laid underground in these cables, and to reliably collect various kinds of data such as a tension at the time of laying the cable, the distance and speed design, and the sample data was acquired through hardware making them. Through this, it was confirmed that, worker was significantly reduced and work time was shortened to the traditional mechanical laying equipment. And to obtain a performance of improving the reliability of operation, because the use of the working data to the management and evaluation.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a multi-sensor fusion-based traffic information acquisition system with robust to environmental changes. it combines the characteristics of each sensor and is more robust to the environmental changes than the video detector. Moreover, it is not affected by the time of day and night, and has less maintenance cost than the inductive-loop traffic detector. This is accomplished by synthesizing object tracking informations based on a radar, vehicle classification informations based on a video detector and reliable object detections of a infrared range finder. To prove the effectiveness of the proposed system, I conducted experiments for 6 hours over 5 days of the daytime and early evening on the pedestrian - accessible road. According to the experimental results, it has 88.7% classification accuracy and 95.5% vehicle detection rate. If the parameters of this system is optimized to adapt to the experimental environment changes, it is expected that it will contribute to the advancement of ITS.

  • 홍수와 같은 수문 재해를 예측하고 예방하기 위해서는 강우량을 정확하게 예측하는 것이 중요하다. 신뢰할 수 있는 수문재해 예보 시스템은 기존의 포인트 기반 우량계를 사용하여 달성 할 수 있는 것보다 강우량의 공간 분포를 관측할 수 있는 보다 효과적인 방법이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 전파강수계 시스템과 다중 고도 관측 데이터를 이용하여 평균 강우를 추정하는 방법을 제시한다. 전파강수계는 K 밴드 이중 편파 기술을 사용하여 초단거리 관측을 수행하는 소형전파강수관측시스템이다. 평균 강우량을 추정하는 방법은 매우 짧은 관측 범위와 이중 편파 정보의 다중고도 평균 관측 개념을 기반으로 하며 관측 지역의 반사도와 비차등위상차의 고도별 평균값을 이용하여 추정한다. 제안 된 방법은 전파강수계의 관측 범위와 스캔 시간이 매우 짧기 때문에 강우 분포의 시공간적 변화가 낮다는 가정하에 개발되었다. 제안된 방법의 평가를 위해 핏게이지, 우량계 및 Parsivel disdrometer를 포함한 지상 장비와 비교하였다. 시험적용 결과 제안된 강우 추정 기법이 다양한 강우사상에 대해 강우강도를 잘 추정하는 것으로 확인되었다

  • The INMARSAT is able to long range maritime communications that can not use for expensive charge in small ship. Additional an opinion of unuseful NBDP that is international discussion for replacement methods for the effective data communications by using HF band. A feature of HF band communication is ionospheric propagation that have not the distance question as A2, A3 and A4 sea areas. Therefore all navigation ship should has supplied service such as MSI, VMS, E-mail beside of distress and public communication that is demanded a design of communication sequence for using SSB transceiver. This paper has designed the new packet and communication sequence of truly and automatically radio link for maritime data communications by SSB in HF band.

  • The management and installation methods of pressure gauges in water supply pipeline are not efficiently regulated and their installations are different in each site. In this paper, various domestic and overseas documents are examined about the pressure gauge. In order to improve the efficiency of operation management such as pipeline network and pump operation, water pressure needs to be measured as accurate as possible, by which decision making for optimal pipe network can be achieved. To get the goal, the installation of pressure gauge should be reviewed about where and how to install. In this study, an optimal horizontal distance test is conducted, in which pressure value variation is monitored and analyzed according to up and down stream distances and valve flow control, and a optimal vertical position test is also analyzed by installing the pressure gauges vertically from the up(180°) to the bottom (0°) of the pipeline.

Effect of Emotional Elements in Personal Relationships on Multiple Personas from the Perspective of Teenage SNS Users (SNS 상의 대인관계에서 나타나는 감정적 요소와 청소년의 온라인 다중정체성 간의 영향관계)

  • As social networking services (SNS) become widely used tools for maintaining social relationships, people use SNS to express themselves online. Users are free to form multiple characters in SNS because of online anonymity. This phenomenon causes SNS users to easily demonstrate multiple personas that are different from their identities in the real world. Therefore, this study focuses on online multi-personas that establish multiple fake identities in the SNS environment. The main objective of this study is to investigate factors that affect online multi-personas. Fake online identities can have various negative consequences such as cyber bullying, cyber vandalism, or antisocial behavior. Since the boundary between the online and offline worlds is fading fast, these negative aspects of online behavior may influence offline behaviors as well. This study focuses on teenagers who often create multi-personas online. According to previous studies, personal identities are usually established during a person's youth. Based on data on 664 teenage users, this study identifies four emotional factors, namely, closeness with others, relative deprivation, peer pressure and social norms. According to data analysis results, three factors (except closeness with others) have positive correlations with users' multi-personas. This study contributes to the literature by identifying the factors that cause young people to form online multi-personas, an issue that has not been fully discussed in previous studies. From a practical perspective, this study provides a basis for a safe online environment by explaining the reasons for creating fake SNS identities.
