Development of T700/701K Engine for KUH (한국형 기동 헬기 엔진 (T700/701K) 개발)

  • This paper presents development activities of the T700/701K turbo-shaft engine for Korean Utility Helicopter(KUH). The T700/701K is the first rear-drive variant of the GE's T700 engine which is proven for military applications in the world. The main workscope of the development includes a modification from a front-drive engine to a rear-drive one, an performance enhancement of the power turbine and an incorporation of two channel FADEC(Full Authority Digital Engine Control) system for more reliable operation. The first engine run for development and qualification test was successfully completed in 2008. Since the PFRT(Preliminary Flight Rating Test) has been completed, the first flight of the engine installed in the first prototype of KUH has been successfully demonstrated in March, 2010 and the engine installation compatibility tests are being carried out during KUH flight test. The test and evaluation for qualification has been done except for the low cycle fatigue test up to date.

  • Object-oriented frameworks need to be systematically tested because they are reused in developing many applications software. They also need additional testing whenever they are extended for reuse. Frameworks, however, have properties that make it difficult to control and observe the testing of the parts that were modified and extended. In this paper, we describe the method of embedding test components as BIT(Built-In Test) into the framework's hot spots in order to efficiently detect the faults through testing that occurred while implementing application programs by modifying and extending the framework. The test components embedded into a framework make it easy to control and observe testing the framework, and thereby improve the testability of frameworks. Test components designed by the method proposed in this paper can be dynamically attached and detached to/from hot spots of a framework without changes or intervention to the framework code.

A Case study on the Escape Performance of Apartment Buildings (사례를 통한 공동주택의 피난성능에 관한 연구)

  • As high-rise Apartment buildings increase the importance of fire prevention and escape performance. While these buildings provide dwellers with much more houses, they have the basic escape safety problem in their apartment buildings. In these respect, this study aims to present the Principles of Fire protection for the escape performance of apartment buildings. This study reviews basic theories of escape in apartment buildings. I figure out the characteristics of the fires in apartment buildings by case studying the fire in the apartment buildings, and find out the existing problems for escape performance and fire prevention by surveying. In this study, the major findings are as follows: The planning method should be based on the escape performance. In the planning stage, fire safety should be considered more seriously than law and economic factors.

  • Increasing the old and the senile disability, it is increased that the demand of barrier-free house for the disabled, the senior, the pregnant and the young is strongly increasing recently. In this reason, this study focuses the problems of the house which is used by the Blind through the investigation of current status and tries to find out the differences between disability's demand and current design of their house. As well, through the research and analysis some cases of the residential alterations this study verifies what the demand is on each room and their need is committed correctly during the residential alterations. It is the purposes of this study finding the problems through these research and analysis. Thus this study investigates houses of the Blind and finds out their house type, scale and daily life through the statistical data and documentary survey and also, investigates current status of their house. The basic standard for the current status and the demand analysis is researched by the barrier factors which are deducted from the former study.

  • This paper proposed an application of agile management method to resolve the electrical system issues identified during the mass production phase of aged aircraft performance improvement. The proposed method was applied from issue analysis to on-site verification and testing stage, before the formal configuration control process. At this time, the project was carried out by setting a sprint period to complete the verification according to requirements through daily scrum and sprint review. As a result, It was verified that the wiring installation of the aircraft, which was the output of the sprint, met requirements within the defined sprint period.

Prediction of Battery Performance of Electric Propulsion Lightweight Airplane for Flight Profiles (비행프로파일에 대한 전기추진 경량비행기의 배터리 성능 예측)

  • Electrically powered airplanes can reduce CO2 emissions from fossil fuel use and reduce airplane costs in the long run through efficient energy use. For this reason, advanced aviation countries such as the United States and the European Union are leading the development of innovative technologies to implement the full-electric airplane in the future. Currently, the research and development to convert existing two-seater engine airplanes to electric-powered airplanes are underway domestically. The airplane converted to electric propulsion is the KLA-100, which aims to carry out a 30-minute flight test with a battery pack installed using the engine mounting space and copilot space. The lithium-ion battery installed on the airplane converted to electric propulsion was designed with a specific power of 150Wh/kg, weight of 200kg, and a C-rate 3~4. This study confirmed the possibility of a 30-minute flight with a designed battery pack before conducting a flight test of a modified electrically propelled airplane. The battery performance was verified by dividing the 30-minute flight profile into start/run stage, take-off stage, climbing stage, cruise stage, descending stage, and landing/run stage. The final target of the 30-minute flight was evaluated by calculating the battery capacity required for each stage. Furthermore, the flight performance of the electrically propelled airplane was determined by calculating the flight availability time and navigation distance according to the flight speed.

  • Oxy-PC 발전시스템은 화석 연료를 연소하는 과정에서 발생하는 다량의 이산화탄소를 회수처리 하기위해 고려되고 있는 방법 중 하나이며, 신규 발전 시스템은 물론이며 기존 발전시스템에도 개조 과정을 거쳐 적용이 용이한 장점이 있다. 하지만 현재 국내에 해당 시스템의 적용 사례는 없을 뿐만 아니라 설계 기술의 확보도 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 순산소 연소 시 발생하는 복합적인 문제를 사전에 예측하고 시스템 구현 과정에서 발생되는 시행착오를 최소화하기 위해서는 순산소 연소 공정모델을 반영한 Dynamic Engineering Simulator 개발이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 Oxy-PC 발전 시스템의 특징을 기존 공기 연소 발전 시스템과 비교하여 설명하고 Oxy-PC 발전 플랜트용 Dynamic Engineering Simulator 개발 절차에 대해 기술한다.

연안여객선 거주구 실내디자인 개선방안에 관한 연구

  • 전라남도 완도 연안여객선 터미널에서 2018년 10월 연안여객선 현대화편드 1호에 의한 선박 '한일고속페리 실버클라우드호'가 취항식을 가졌다. 국내 여객선 시장은 그간 해외 중고선에만 의존해왔는데 순수 국내 기술로 건조된 여객선이 등장한 것이다. 이에 따라 우리나라 여객선 산업은 기술발전과 디자인 등 그 품질이 향상 될 것이다. 그간 여객선 이용객의 수요는 꾸준히 증가하고 있으나 영세한 규모의 국내 선사는 비용 부담 때문에 신조를 건조하기 어려워 해외 중고선을 수입하였다. 이로 인해 국내 여객선의 실내 인테리어의 노후화, 인테리어 개조에 따르는 선박 성능의 저하 등 다양한 문제점을 가지고 있었다. 따라서 정부는 2018년 현대화펀드를 통해 노후된 연안여객선을 대체할 새로운 선박의 건조를 지원함으로써 연안여객선은 이제 선사의 사적 소유물을 넘어 공공적 성격이 교통수단이 되었다. 이로써 연안여객선은 이동 편의 향상을 비롯하여 승객에게 더 큰 만족을 줄 수 있는 디자인 개선방안이 요구된다.

친환경축산을 위한 오리 사양관리

  • 현대와 같이 산업사회로 발달되기 이전의 자연생태계는 행복하였다. 청정한 태양 빛 아래 맑은 공기, 물, 흙과 나무가 어우러진 자연의 환경에서 엄연한 먹이사슬질서 속에서 살아 왔었는데, 인구증가와 산업사회로 발전하면서 대량수요가 요구되면서 그들은 점차 행복한 삶의 터전이 없어지고, 강제로 억제시킨 극도의 열악한 집단사육환경에 적응하면서 살아갈 수밖에 없게 되면서 먹이사슬에서 부작용과 역기능이 발생되기 시작하였다. 집단사육장환경을 획기적으로 개선해야 된다. 태양빛이 완전 차단되고 밀폐된 공간에서 집단사육시키고 있는 닭, 오리, 돼지가 정상적으로 생장할 수 있도록 적어도 자연환경에 가까운 밝고 청정한 환경으로 개선시켜야 된다. 사육동물들이 정상적으로 생장할 수 있도록 자연환경과 버금가는 생태환경으로 개선시켜 주어야만 오리들이 건강하게 성장하고 면역력이 증강되어 조류인플루엔자와 같이 원인불명의 질병에 감염되지 않을 것이다. 현실적으로 모든 실내 생태계의 성장을 활성화시키면서 면역력을 증강시킬 수 있는 생명에너지 빛(Bioenergetic Rays)을 방사하는 차세대 조명기술로 집단사육장의 실내를 획기적으로 밝게 하고, 실내의 탁한 공기가 신선한 외부공기로 충분히 순환이 될 수 있도록 반 밀폐구조로 개조해야 한다. 그리고 한 마리 당 활동공간을 넓혀 주어야 한다.
