  • Recently high interest in health and fitness has led to vibrant researches for the active fitness system to learn and enjoy the exercise program for oneself. In this paper, we design and implement the active spinning training system which enables user to have self-learning and experience of customized spinning training program by the biometric and movement information acquired from user's physiological signals. The proposed system provides the appropriate difficulty of spinning program which reflects the concordance rate of spinning dance gestures and the amount of exercising by analyzing the physical status of participant from his brain and pulse waves and recognizing the skeletal movement in real time. For the higher exercise effect, the system offers a virtual personal trainer to show the correct poses and controls the level of difficulty depending on the concordance rate of participant's motions. The experiment with various participants through the proposed system shows that it is able to help users in getting the available exercise effect in comparatively short time.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the use of balanced movement system for the elderly and for exercise system and lower body balance satisfaction survey results balance, which improved. Elderly people were using the exercise machine for 9 weeks to improve the most inconvenient lower body balance. We have examined periodically analyze the satisfaction survey items. Elderly people were responding to the satisfaction survey items separated by the lower body balance and movement system. The system used is individual customized exercise was possible and there is an interesting content. As a result shows that maintaining the balance of the user is improved. Also, exercise is thought to be by reducing the discomfort of the lower body will help the elderly in activities of daily living and quality of life.

  • The purpose of the present study was to investigate the exercise program preference of breast cancer survivors. The qualitative data on group exercise participation experiences of ten participants was acquired through in-depth interviews, and participant observation, using the thematic analysis. As a result, 4 themes indicated the preference of breast cancer survivors: (1) Supervised Exercise, (2) Group Exercise, (3) Specialized exercise program for breast cancer survivors, and (4) Enjoyment factor. First, the participating breast cancer survivors showed a preference towards supervised exercise by responding that a exercise specialist is needed along with a personalized exercise program. Second, breast cancer survivors preferred to participate in group exercise programs. Participants preferred to exercise with other breast cancer survivors and mentioned that group exercises cause a synergy effect that promotes exercise participation. Third, the participant's responses showed anticipation of and preference for a specialized exercise program for breast cancer survivors. Lastly, an important factor influencing the preference of breast cancer survivors was the enjoyment factor. Participants preferred enjoyable exercises and the most prevalent enjoyment factors included the element of music and self-felt enjoyment.

  • In this paper, we developed a personal hypertension management system (PHMS) having self-diagnosis function with PDA. The developed PHMS consists of five modules such as a personal information management, a life management, a food management, a sickness management, and network management modules. The personal information management module offers physical and fatness information as well as personal information. The life management module gives exercise and body mass index. The food management module includes caloric intake and the sickness management module renders a personal blood pressure and a subjective symptom. Finally, wireless networks are implemented for the network management. From these, it is possible to make a self diagnosis and be examined and treated remotely by sending the stored blood pressure related information to a medical doctor.

  • In this study, Pilates mat exercise program three times a week for 8 weeks, 10 minutes for a warm up, 40 minutes of main exercise, and 10-minute cool down exercise using gadgetry to the middle aged women. Pilates exercise program when exercise intensity based on the instructions of the ACSM (2010) as 1-4 weeks 50-60% HRR, 5-8 weeks 61-70% HRR to give 50-70%, maintaining the strength of 4 weeks. Pilates exercise program by gadgetry has increased the strength of wireless heart rate meter (Polar Analyzer, Polar Electro of Finland) Karvonen (1979), proceed individual target heart exercise obtained as a way now to check your strength workout through individual conciousness. We estimated immunoglobulin change for Pilates mat exercise by gadgetry during 8-week. It showed the following conclusions. First, immunoglobulin IgA has been increased and Interaction effects has been showed thruough Pilates mat exercise programs for 8 weeks. Second, immunoglobulin IgG has been increased and showed Interaction effects has been showed thruough Pilates mat exercise programs for 8 weeks. Third, immunoglobulin IgM has been increased and showed Interaction has been showed effects thruough Pilates mat exercise programs for 8 weeks. Therefore, this study was conducted on a Pilates mat exercise using props immune function are positive hormonal changes, can prevent private for the disease and effective exercises that are the fodder.

  • This study focuses on Korea films of historical communication. Narrative analysis was conducted on the films in 2000s including , and <26 Years> that mainly have dealt with the 'Gwangju Democratization Movement'. As a result of the syntagmatic analysis, these films try to stabilize 'social imbalances' in the aspect of individuals and conceals issues of social structure. In addition, the result of paradigmatic analysis reveals that textual factors of 'active involvement of female characters', 'continuity of history through the survivors' demonstrate its strategies to publicize the historical truth. Consequently these films show its limitations that weakens historical meaning by placing unsolved problems of social structure as well as the love story. But rather than describing it as a history of the past, these films act as a catalyst to bring thins specific historical issue to our present lives and publicize it as a current issue. Therefore, the historical film not only allows current generation to remind to history but also to provide an opportunity to publicize the important issues of social structure in the present society.

  • The purpose of this study aims guarana ingestion to possibly be Ergogenic Aids(EA) for elite male athletes who do long time exercises. Participators who play long distance belong to H-university. They are measured HRmax by polar and treadmill, and they do run on the treadmill for 60 minutes with HRmax 70%. Participators ingest 200ml guarana and water for 5 times. They were drawn blood for 3 time such as before 30 minutes, after finish, and after 30 minutes later. Data processing was repeated of the measuring, two way repeated ANOVA, according to guarana ingestion, water ingestion, and treatment time. The result of this study identifies that guarana ingestion is more positive effect with glucose, Free fatty acid, and lactic acid than water. Hence, guarana ingestion is including function of EA to increase reserving energy on the body for rising kinetic ability.

  • In this paper, Artificial Neural Network(ANN) is applied to automatic berthing control for a ship. ANN is suitable for a maneuvering such as ship's berthing, because it can describe non-linearity of the system. Multi-layer perceptron which has more than one hidden layer between input layer and output layer is applied to ANN. Using a back-propagation algorithm with teaching data, we trained ANN to get a minimal error between output value and desired one. For the automatic berthing control of a containership, we introduced low speed maneuvering mathematical models. The berthing control with the structure of 8 input layer units in ANN is compared to 6 input layer units. From the simulation results, the berthing conditions are satisfied, even though the berthing paths are different.
