  • The purpose of this study is to provide the basic information for the early enforcement and extension of the improvement project of management scale of private forest land by understanding the characteristics of forest owners, who have an influence on the participation of the project as one of the private forest management vitalization plans. To achieve this goal, a questionnaire survey targeting 373 forest owners was conducted and analyzed by Binary-Logistic Regression. The variables for binary-logistic regression included gender, age, academic ability, occupation, income, residence, purpose of forest ownership, and status of cooperative membership. As a result of the analysis, 267 forest owners (71.6%) of total 373 forest owners have the intention to participate in the scaling project for private forest management. The rest of forest owners (106 forest owners, 28.4%) would not be willing to participate in the project. As a result of binary-logistic regression, the most important variables, which have an impact on the participation of private forest management scale improvement project, are age, job and forest own purpose.

  • Kim et al. (2006) analyzed the donation data surveyed by Voluneteer 21 in year 2002 at South Korea using a Poisson regression based on the mixture of two Poissons and detected significant variables for affecting the number of donations. However, noting the large deviation between the predicted and the actual frequencies of zero, we developed in this note a Poisson regression model based on a distribution in which zero inflated Poisson was added to the mixture of two Poissons. Thus the population distribution is now a mixture of three Poissons in which one component is concentrated on zero mass. We used the EM algorithm for estimating the regression parameters and detected the same variables with Kim et al's for significantly affecting the response. However, we could estimate the proportion of the fixed zero group to be 0.201, which was the characteristic of this model. We also noted that among two significant variables, the income and the volunteer experience(yes, no), the second variable could be utilized as a strategric variable for promoting the donation.

  • The purpose of this study is to find the determinants for the type(Franchising or Independent Entrepreneurship) of new venture creation. This study conducted an empirical analysis on a total of 398 samples of survey gathered from people in Seoul, Gyoeng-gi, Daegu, and Gyeonsangbuk-do. This study includes not only personal traits, but also entrepreneurial intention and network as independent variables. Findings of the analysis reported that Entrepreneurial intention, Need for achievement, Autonomy, Entrepreneurship, Self-efficacy, Education, Network, Age, and Income have significant discriminant power, in order of priority, on general two groups of Franchising and Independent Entrepreneurship. However, in the study, autonomy is revealed as the sole discriminant factor on considering venture creation groups. Based on the result, the study contributes theoretical and practical implications in relation to the determinants for the type of franchising or independent entrepreneurship.

  • This research explores different non-work trip characteristics between the elderly group (65+) and the working age group (20-64) using heteroscadastic ordered logit model. The analysis is based on travel survey data of Seoul Metropolitan area in 2006. The results show that age induces heteroscadasticity and the model provides a better fit than ordered logit model. The factors increasing the number of non-work trip of the elderly were driver's license and household income. Conversely, the number of non-work trips decreased in those groups that were male, with a job, in aging, and with the number of preschool children. The factors having opposite effects (increased the number of non-work trips in the working age groups and decreased in the elderly group) between the elderly group and working age group were age and job.

  • Since beginning of subway construction in 1974, for supplying the demand for increasing urban traffic and solving the traffic jam due to expansion of society and elevation of an individual income, the $1^{st}\;and\;2^{nd}$ construction have been almost done and $3^{rd}$ has been driving forward. However, according to an increment of com-mon usage with the passage of time, structures are superannuated and the amount of improvement and repairs keeps on increasing continuous. And many problems are taking place at underground space because of new constructions for underground facilities such as urban gas, electric power, waterworks, and sewerage. In consequence. The consideration of a counterplan for safety is required deeply This study analyzed problems on maintenance of structure about $1^{st}$ class subway, and will present means that a manage civil structures scientifically and systematically by using GSIS concept that imported into several organizations for facility management recently as making digital graphic elements and historic data into a database rather than using an old method - documents and paper drawings.

The 297 questionnaires which were collected from persons over 60 years old who were doing voluntary service activity in welfare center for the aged, Silver police in Goyang and Paju city. The frequency, factor and regression analysis were used for the research. The results are as follows: First, the motivations to participate in volunteer activities had four factors: self-realization, social activities, social responsibility, and personal achievements, and these factors had positive effect on satisfaction with volunteer activities. Second, the motivation to participation in volunteer activities and the degree of satisfaction with them were found to be different in accordance with age, education, income, religion and health.

  • This study concerns whether the public spirit of medical services, which is the foundational goal of national hospitals, is being realized. To derive results regarding this question, it is necessary to identify the determinants that influence the choice of national hospitals. The data are based on the number of cases of medical service use among the data for 6 years from 2008 to 2013 in the Korea Medical Panel, and the subjects were limited to those who were 18 years old or older. In the final analysis, 14,365 cases of hospitalization service uses were employed. For the research method, Andersen's behavioral model theory was applied, and predisposing, enabling, and individual factors were determined to be variables. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to analyze the determinants of national hospital choice factors. It was found that the rate of use of national hospitals was very low, with 5.23% for hospitalization services. Furthermore, socioeconomically vulnerable people, such as the elderly, low-income people, the national meritorious and medical care beneficiaries, chronic patients, and disabled patients are more likely to choose national hospitals than private hospitals. Therefore, for the appropriate management of medical service use for low-income vulnerable groups, it is necessary to discuss the enhancement of primary medical care in national healthcare.

  • This study examined the relationship between income and the value of leisure to develop a more accurate model of the labor market without necessarily losing the primary merit of the received model. Moreover, with an improved understanding of the labor market dynamics, it can be seen that progressive era labor market legislation, which was designed to mitigate the effects of the bargaining power inequality in low wage labor markets, was in fact based on sensible economic foundations. These low-wage dynamics present an example of a positive feedback system or "vicious circle" at work in the economy. The market dynamics of the low wage sector push the wage away from the range that is consistent with a self-regulating market.
