The paper is to assess the recent changes in Architectural Artworks system in two regional districts, Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and to propose policies for further improvement. We focused on four aspects: overall pass rate, top-ranked artists' pass rate, proportion of artists ever passed, genre proportion artworks. It is observed that quality of artworks has improved, market monopolization has been eased, and entry to the market has become more active. However, sculptures accounted for the majority. Public art is gradually changing from 'decorative art' to 'site-specific art', and seeking harmony between architecture and surrounding landscape. To keep pace with this new trend, more institutional efforts should be made: fund raising to induce artwork supplies; introducing life-span concept to secure removal and deformation of artwork; imposing artists' follow-up services; imposing penalties against poor management; and authorizing the committee to choose exhibition sites.

The primary purpose of this study is to find policy implications by examining the trends in income inequality of the Korean aged and factors contributing to these. For analysis, this study used the 2nd, 5th, 7th and 9th wave of 'Korean Labour and Income Panel Study'. The findings are as follows. First, total income inequality of the elderly rose greatly after 1998 and is decreasing after 2001. Secondly, the Gini coefficient decomposition by income sources shows that earned income was the factor most responsible for the income inequality of the elderly. But its influences of the elderly income inequality is gradually decreasing during analysing periods. Third, assets income and public pensions have a great effects on the elderly income inequality. They increases the income inequality of the elderly households. Forth, interfamily transfer income and public assistance income reduces income inequality of the elderly.

This study analyzed the difficulty trend of item which are common with TIMSS 1999, 2003, 2007 and are released since TIMSS 2007. The results show that the 7th curriculum has positive effects on the students' achievement in the domain such as spatial sense of rotation, ratio proportion percent, pattern, calculation of decimal numbers, concept of angle, area of triangle, and qualitative approach to graph. And the results leaved the consideration for the process of scoring, teaching method of statistical probability concept, and making table as a problem solving method.

본 연구에서는, 현 시점에서의 주거소음환경 수준 고찰을 위한 설문조사를 실시하고, 유사한 방법으로 실시한 1986년의 설문조사 결과와 비교 고찰함으로써, 1980년대 중반 이후 거주자들의 소음환경에 대한 의식변화 추이와 소음환경 개선상황 및 문제점을 파악해 보고자 한다.

The purpose of this study is to minimize physical obstacles, to propose how we can improve them, and to get the basic information to establish the welfare policy for handicapped students in the university dormitory by studying and analyzing actual conditions of existing facilities and its improving transition which provide most important living accommodation to university students. To carry out this study, they have been surveyed 10 Universities in Korea as a case study which 1 university in Seoul & Kyunggi province, 2 universities in Chungchung province, 5 universities in Jeolla province and 2 universities in Kyungsang province. And they have been studied in relation to the law, theory of the architectural planning & design, and general consideration about handicapped people. As a result the checklist about the facilities was made. The term of survey was in August 2001 and in September 2004. It is concluded that most of universities which have been surveyed were equipped with good facilities for general students without regards for handicapped people at that time. As you can see the result of this research, the facilities of boarding house for handicapped people are very scanty in many universities. So they must be required facilities for handicapped people in the stage of architectural programming, the process of designing the dormitory facility.
