This study aims to analyze multiculturalism policy of Canada, where is praised for not only systematic multiculturalism policy but also one of the leading countries for successful managing of it, and is to explore the implications for Korea through analysis. The meaning, history, policy changes of multiculturalism of Canada, and the ways to maintain and generate for this by reviewing relating literature to achieve this goal. This study particularly focuses on the civic multiculturalism policy, which established not only the systematic foundation but also a social consensus regarding multiculturalism policy changes. Moreover, finally some suggestions of development strategies for Korea were provided. Developing and conducting of various programs for understanding and recognizing cultural and ethnic diversity, establishing a powerful law regulation and applying the rules rigorously, supporting for network formation of immigrants based on community organizations, providing information made by various languages, and developing and using a tool such as a racial impact analyzes were suggested.

The purpose of this study was to develop, field test an instrument to assess secondary school students' conceptions of the nature of science. The instrument named Philosophical Perspectives Probe(PPP) is a pool of 24 multiple-choice items that address a wide range of philosophical topics of science. The statements and the choices of this instrument were derived from an analysis of various philosophical positions. The main philosophical systems of the instrument are inductivism, falsificationism, and relativism, respectively. Major distinctions depend on the issues of the criteria of demarcation, patterns of scienctific change, epistemological status of scientific knowledge, and the scientific methods. The researchers also offer teachers a new way of assessing and interpreting their students' conceptions on a wide variety of topics related to the nature of science.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of learner-centered instructions using instructional materials which are developed in the light of constructivism and implementing practices of the instruction. According to the result of Recall Test, experimental group and comparing group have not statistically meaningful difference. However, in the result of Generation Tests which include the contents not dealt with during the experiment treatments, the two groups have statistically meaningful difference. It can be drawn from the result that students who take learner-centered instruction are in a good readiness for learning of the contents which will be addressed in future.

As a comprehensive study on the development of curriculum for environmental education based on the standpoint of ecology, the environmental issues within the science textbooks used in the elementary, middle and high school were analyzed with the special emphasis to four aspects; 1) the causes and 2) the examples of environmental pollution, 3) the principles of ecology, and 4) the endeavor to overcome environmental crises. The results confirm that the science textbooks were written on the basis of Environmentalism rather than Ecology, and the environmental issues were listed fragmentarily within the subjects related to science, and not systematically assembled between inter-subjects or-sciences. Therefore, the systematic and inter-scientific approaches based on the ecology will be needed for further and better environmental education.

In order to isolate probiotic lactic acid bacteria possessing high inhibitory activities against porcine and zoonotic pathogens, such as enterotoxigenic E. coli, Salmonella Typhimurium, and Clostridium perfringens, a total of 65 anaerobic strains were initially isolated from a variety of sources including cattle rumen fluids, chicken intestines and swine feces. Four Bifidobacterium strains were selected for their high anti-pathogenic bacterial activities. By using the 16S rDNA sequencing method, three B. boum strains and one B. thermophilum were identified. B. thermophilum demonstrated the best adhesive ability to epithelial cells of swine intestine among the isolates. Indeed, B. thermophilum was seen to have superior characteristics as a probiotic for swine, as judged by their high growth inhibitory activities against various pathogens, and high acid- and bile-tolerance.

The purpose of analysis of foreign curriculums and textbooks is to aimed to get the implications for the revision of curriculum, publishment of textbooks and teaching mathematics. In this study, Common Core State Standards and its textbooks was analyzed. The U. S. doesn't have the national mathematics curriculum. So, it can be happen some problems: students' lower mathematical achievement, assessment policy, decision of teaching contents, etc. In 2010, Common Core State Standards was developed by states. Furthermore, The California Department of Education reshaped standards: CA-CCSSM. This study analyzed the contents of fraction in CA-CCSSM and its textbooks. Fraction has many concepts and methods and models in teaching process. This study analyzed the equal parts, introducing fraction concept, the types of fraction, equivalent fractions, comparison of fractions. The conclusions are as follows; The equal parts are the important concept of fraction and introduced in geometry area before teaching of fraction. CA-CCSSM aims to understand a fraction as a number on the number line and represent fractions on a number line diagram. There are some similarity and difference in mixed number, fractions as a division and ratio, equivalent fractions and comparison of fractions between Korean curriculum and textbooks and CA-CCSSM.

Owing to COVID-19 pandemic and global recession, enterprises are facing more and more fierce competition. Under this situation, retaining as much as recruiting good employees has become a top priority for organization. However, post 90s, with very different characteristics from traditional workers, entered the labor market, and both employers and employees suffered from post-90's high turnover rate. Therefore, this study focuses on Chinese post-90s and examined the effects of work values they pursue (utilitarian orientation, interest congruence, long-term development, and innovativeness) on job satisfaction and turnover intention. In addition, the groups with less than or more than one year of service were compared and analyzed. A total of 267 Chinese workers born in the 90s participated in the survey. Our research findings show that utilitarian orientation affects both job satisfaction and turnover intention, but interest congruence only affects job satisfaction while innovation only affects turnover intention. And the moderating effect of tenure of service was partially verified. Various implications based on the result were discussed.

The aim of this study is to design Spudsville, an immersive game environment in Minecraft that can effectively help learners acquire the English language. To create a successful learning experience using Minecraft, the researchers adopted the Agile Model and the Design Thinking approach. The researchers first conducted an analysis through an extensive literature review in order to assess the learners' needs. Afterwards, they designed and developed a Minecraft world based on the data collected during the analysis phase. The researchers learned that implementing constructivist and behaviorist approaches has benefits, even though applying a cognitivist-learning model to Spudsville could have provided the researchers with more insight on how learner processes information. Making these adjustments could improve Spudsville's effectiveness and could potentially help the ways in which gamified learning aids with language acquisition.

그동안 권위주의적 관료주의에 신음해 온 우리 대학들이 학생들의 학생 위에 교수들의 자각과 실천에 의해 자기 위상을 정립해가고 있는 현 상황에서 교수자치기구의 대학주체로서의 자리매김은 무한한 창조의 가능성과 학문발전의 원동력으로 작용할 수 있다. 따라서 더 이상의 소모와 비능률을 줄이고 인력을 최대한 개발.활용할 수 있는 대학 체제를 위해서라도 교수자치기구로서의 교수(협의)회가 학내 최고의사결정기구로서 법제화되는 것이 시급하고도 절실히 요청된다.
