The purpose of this study is to investigate the types of middle school students’ responses to dinosaur extinction inconsistent with the students’ previous conceptions. The types of texts about ‘the cause of dinosaur extinction’ were developed; one that was based on students’ previous ideas, while the other was based on conflicting materials. The students’ responses to the conflict materials were classified into six types: rejection, reinterpretation, uncertainty, belief decrease, partial theory change, and conceptual change. These results show that the use of conflict materials does not always promote conceptual change. Therefore, teachers will be able to help students change their conceptions in science classrooms by understanding students’ various responses to conflict materials and designing instructional strategy concretely.

The conceptions of definition and proof radically change in the transition from secondary to tertiary mathematics. Specifically this paper analyses the historical development of the axiomatic method from Greek to modern mathematics. To understand Greek and modern axiomatic method, it is important to know the different characteristics of the primitive terms, constant and variable. Especially this matter of primitive terms explains the change of conceptions of definition, proof and mathematics. This historical analysis is useful for introducing the meaning of formal definition and proof.

이 연구는 한국의 산업발전 과정에서 '기술혁신'이라는 개념이 어떻게 변화하며 사용되어 왔는지를 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 한국과학기술단체총연합회(이하 과총)의 기관지인 "과학과 기술" 기사에서 등장한 '기술혁신' 키워드를 중심으로 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다. "과학과 기술"은 1968년부터 지금까지 꾸준히 발간되었으며, 과학기술인 뿐만 아니라 정부부처 관계자 및 과학 분야 기자들을 대상으로 하기 때문에 한국 과학기술사회 전반의 동향을 파악하기 위한 사료로서 가치가 높다. 본 연구에서는 1968년 이후 "과학과 기술"에 실린 기사들 중 제목에 '기술혁신' 키워드가 포함된 모든 기사의 전문을 분석 대상으로 출판 이후부터 현재까지의 기간을 세 구간으로 나누어 '기술혁신'과 동시출현하는 키워드들의 변화 양상을 분석하였다. 이와 같은 분석을 통해서 이 연구는 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 기술혁신 개념은 1970년대와 크게 다를 바 없이 지금까지도 여전히 국가 주도의 산업 발전을 위한 요소로 이해되고 있었다. 둘째, 그럼에도 불구하고 공업, 생산에 국한되어 있던 기술혁신 개념은 1980년대를 거치며 다양한 연구개발 분야 및 이해관계자들을 이어주는 키워드로 변화하였다. 본 연구는 키워드 네트워크 분석을 통해 한국 기술혁신 논의의 변화 양상을 제시하였다는데 의의가 있으며, 연구 결과는 향후 한국적 맥락을 기반으로 한 기술혁신정책의 방향성을 모색하는데 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

이 논문에서는 메타데이터 레지스트리 (MDR, Metadata Registry) 기반의 웹 온톨로지 생성모델을 제안한다. 메타데이터 레지스트리는 국제 표준(ISO/IEC 11179)으로서 데이터베이스간 상호운용성 향상을 위해 개발되었다. 그러나 데이터 표현과 상호운용성을 위한 컴퓨팅 환경의 변화는 메타데이터 레지스트리의 확장은 물론 메타데이터 레지스트리의 활용 방법의 변화를 요구한다. 이 논문에서의 웹 환경의 변화란 정적인 웹 환경에서 웹 2.0 혹은 시맨틱 웹 이라고 정의하는 차세대 웹 환경으로의 변화를 의미한다. 이러한 환경을 위해서 다양한 기술 개발과 적용 기법에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 특히 차세대 웹을 위해서는 지원에 대한 명확한 의미 정의 및 활용이 요구된다. 이는 웹 온톨로지 스키마를 구성하는 개념들에 대한 보다 일관성 있는 정의 및 사용이 필요하다. 이러한 문제가 해결되지 않을 경우, 또 다시 온톨로지를 구성하는 개념들 간 이질성 문제를 야기한다. 메타데이터 레지스트리는 다양한 표준화 된 개념들을 포함하며, 응용을 위한 데이터를 위한 의미 또한 이 개념들을 이용하여 정의한다. 따라서 이러한 표준 요소를 이용한 웹 온톨로지 스키마 정의 및 활용이 요구되며, 이 논문에서 이와 관련된 기본 개념, 요구 사항을 장의하고 전체적인 모델을 제안한다.

최근 10 여년 동안 교육 현장의 각 부분에 여러 가지 종류의 테크놀로지가 도입되면서, 교육의 내용과 방법에 있어서 점진적인 변화가 나타나고 있다. 예를들어, 수학 과목에 있어서는 그래픽 계산기, 도형 및 기하 학습 프로그램, 스프레드 시트, 함수 그래픽 프로그램 등의 도입으로 교과 과정 전반에 걸친 변화가 일고 있는데, 처음에는 이들 테크놀로지가 단순히 기존의 수업에서 수많은 반복을 요하거나, 지필식 방식으로는 정확하게 나타내기 어려운 도형이나 그래프를 빠르고 정확하게 그려내주는 보조수단으로 사용되었지만, 시간이 지나면서 이들 테크놀로지에 대한 활용도가 높아지게 되고, 이들 테크놀로지에 대한 교사들의 활용능력이 증대됨에 다라서, 이러한 테크놀로지가 단순한 보조수단에 머무르지 않고 주지에 기술이나 개념을 설명하는 방법 자체를 변화시키고 있다. 예를들어, 함수 교육에 있어서 그래픽 프로그램이 사용될 때에도, 초기 단계에서는 이들 함수의 개념을 설명할 때에는 거의 집합론이나 대수학적인 방법을 이용하였고, 최종 단계로 이들 함수를 좌표계 위에 표현하기 위한 보조수단으로 잠깐씩 사용되는 경우가 대부분이었으나, 최근들어서는 함수 학습의 초기과정부터 곧바로 이들 그래프 프로그램을 적극적으로 도입하여 학습자로 하여금 다양한 그래프 조작을 하게 함으로써, 어려운 집합론이나 대수학적인 개념을 도입하지 않고서도 함수에 대한 개념을 시각적으로 직관적으로 파악하도록 하는 학습 방안들이 제시되고 있는 것이다. 본 고에서는 현행 중고등학교 함수 교육 과정에서 그래프에 대한 다양한 조작 기능을 제공함으로써 학습자로 하여금, 제시되는 함수에 대한 시각적이고 직관적인 이미지를 가질 수 있도록 하기 위해서 개발된 ‘그래프 마법사’라는 프로그램을 소개하고자 한다.

Personalized production represents the changing production and consumption in the fourth industrial revolution. Manufacturers in each field are making great efforts to introduce this concept, but it is difficult to find a flow of change such as in the craft industry, especially in the workshop system. I will try to measure the possibility of fusing personalized production in the craft workshop in accordance with the changing production and consumption. To do this, we examined the concept and examples of mass custom production, which is a similar system, and defined the customized production. Then, we recognized the production status of the modern craft workshop and consequently examined the possibility of convergence based on two basic points of productivity and communication.

This article aims to examine the concept and historical background of Applied Theatre and its major characteristics as a newly emerging theatrical practice in recent years. With these aims, the article chronicles the history of how Applied Theatre has developed and formed as an overarching umbrella term that encompasses different theatrical praxis. Given the ambiguity and confusion of this practice, the article argues the importance of recognizing the Applied Theatre's shifting paradigm of subject and object, a crucial element in understanding the practice. Further discussed is the exploration of 'community' in regards to comparing the similarities and differences among Applied Theatre, Community Theatre, and Community-based Performance. The article concludes that the essential comprehension of Applied Theatre's uniqueness comes from noticing and perceiving the paradigm shift that places participants and community as a subject of theatrical transaction rather than as an object, as traditional theatre has done so far.

요즈음 우리 사회에 유행하는 신세대론은 사회적 실체에 기반을 둔 분석적인 개념이라기보다는 상당 부분 매스컴이 만들어내는 가상현실에 기반하여 만들어진 것이라 할 수 있다. 어느 사회, 어느 시대에서나 존재하는 세대차이를 신세대라는 범주로 묶으려는 것은 바로 시장을 세대별로 세분화하여 상품의 영역을 확대함으로써 이윤을 극대화하려는 자본주의 시장논리이다. 이러한 맥락에서 신세대라는 개념이 등장하게 되었고 뒤이어 미시족, 체크족, 트윈 X세대 등 여러 용어로 범주화되는 유사 세대개념들이 등장하며 또 이 개념들이 매스컴의 스포트라이트를 받고 있는 것이다. 따라서 우리는 신세대론에 매몰되어 그들을 도덕적으로 판단하기보다는 변화되는 사회환경의 분석과 함께 그들의 문화를 이해하고 포용하여 눈높이를 맞추려는 노력을 기울일 필요가 있다.
