  • In this study, summary of past tilt-rotor concept development presented, and based on that, major pros and cons of tilt-rotor technology compared to other air-vehicle concept was presented. Also presented were major design features, considerations and sizing constraints of tilt-rotor configuration implemented to the development of Smart UAV. It is hoped that this paper be served to understand the tilt-rotor air-vehicle design and development.

  • 현재 국내의 건설 산업은 BIM(Building Information Modeling)이라는 새로운 패러다임으로의 변화를 모색하고 있다. 이미 국내 건축업계에서는 적극적으로 BIM개념이 도입되고 있으며 주로 국가 기반시설의 건설업무를 분담하고 있는 토목업계에서는 현재 BIM개념을 도입하기 위한 준비과정에 있는 단계이다. 이 연구에서는 대표적인 토목구조물인 교량을 대상으로 BIM개념 도입의 필요성과 교량을 건설하기위한 여러단계 중에서도 그 출발점이라 할 수 있는 구조설계 단계에 있어서 BIM개념의 도입 방법과 기존의 구조설계 프로세스를 BIM기반의 구조설계 프로세스로 변화하기 위하여 필요한 작업들에 대한 분석을 수행하였으며 결과적으로 교량 프로젝트에 대하여 BIM기반의 구조설계를 위한 최적의 프로세스를 구축하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다.

중수감속 가압경수로의 개념설계

  • 신형경수로의 대안으로서 가압경수로의 단점을 보완하고, 가압중수로의 장점을 채택한 중수감속 경수로의 핵적 개념설계를 제안하였다. 냉각재와 감속재가 서로 다른 채넬을 통해 흐르는 기존 가압중수로의 Pressure-Tube 설계의 장점을 채택하여, 냉각재는 경수를 감속재는 중수를 사용하는 중수감속 가압경수로(DPWR, Deuterium-moderated PWR)의 설계 타당성을 검토하였다. 기본적으로 CANDU의 system설계를 Proven Technology로서 가능한 많이 채택하고, CANFLEX 핵연료 설계도 기존 연구 결과로서 최대한 활용하였다. 월성 2,3,4호기 FSAR의 사양을 그대로 사용하여 기존 중수로의 37봉 핵연료 다발을 6$\times$6 직각 배열 등가 핵연료집합체로 재구성한 후, SEU $UO_2$ 핵연료에 대해 HELIOS코드를 사용하여 핵적 특성을 검토하였다. 냉각재 온도계수가 음의 안전성을 갖고 있으며, 기존 중수로보다 연소도가 훨씬 큰 원자로가 설계될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 발전소 이용률의 증대, 사용후 핵연료 발생량의 감소를 기대할 수 있었다.

The Development of Performance Analysis Code for Pre-Conceptual Design of VTOL UAV (수직이착륙/고속순항 무인기 초기개념설계를 위한 성능예측 프로그램 개발)

  • The performance analysis code has been developed for vertical take-off and landing(VTOL) UAV which can be utilized as a trade analysis tool in the pre-conceptual design phase. The UAV requires VTOL capability and high speed cruise performance. The main logic of this performance analysis code is to estimate performance parameters of each mission segment by mission fuel weight iteration. The reliability of this performance analysis code is discussed by comparing the data of existing dual flight mode VTOL UAVs such as Boeing CRW and Bell Tilt Rotor.

  • This paper describes the conceptual design of new robot hand by type synthesis. The conventional robot hands with rotational movement have bad controllability because the distance between the final rotational joint and the center of things grasped is changed according to the size of things grasped. This paper uses the systematic procedure of type synthesis and the knowledge for designing robot hands. The new 6-bar Watt I type conceptual robot hand with rectilinear translational movement is proposed.

  • 해상도가 높아질수록 위성 탑재 카메라의 광학적 설계 조건은 까다롭다. 특히 1m급의 고해상도 영상을 얻기 위해서는 개념설계 단계에서부터 여러 가지 기술적인 면과 운용적인 면을 동시에 고려해야 하며 이러한 조건들이 상호 연관성을 가지면서 광학계의 형태나 성능을 결정하므로 다양한 해석과 분석이 필요하다. 해상도, 촬영고도, 관측폭 그리고 촬영소자의 크기에 의해 광학계의 초점거리가 결정되며 광학계의 유효구경을 추가하면 신호량 성능에 대한 예측이 가능하다. (중략)

  • In this study, Multi-fidelity analysis is performed to improve the accuracy of analysis result during conceptual design stage. Multidisciplinary Design Optimization(MDO) method is also considered to satisfy the total system requirements. Low-fidelity analysis codes which are based on empirical equations are developed and validated for analyzing the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) which have unconventional configurations. Analysis codes consist of initial sizing, aerodynamics, propulsion, mission, weight, performance, and stability modules. Design synthesis program which is composed of those modules is developed. To improve the accuracy of the design method for UAV, Vortex Lattice Method is used for the strategy of MFA. Multi-Disciplinary Feasible(MDF) method is used for MDO technique. To demonstrate the validity of presented method, the optimization results of both methods are compared. According to those results, the presented method is demonstrated to be applicable to improve the accuracy of the analyses during conceptual design stage.

The Effect of Intuitive Free Association and Systematic Free Association on the Creativity of High School Students Group in the Conceptual Design Process (직관적 및 체계적 자유연상기법이 개념설계과정에서 고등학생 집단의 창의성 향상에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the effect of intuitive free association and systematic free association on the creativity of high school students group in the conceptual design process. Based on this study result, the conclusion can be summarized as follows. 1. There was meaningful relation between intuitive free association and creativity factor of high school students. Mean value of experimental group A 's creativity and it's factor originality, practicality, elaboration, and fluency which treated intuitive free association was increased. 2. There was meaningful relation between systematic free association and creativity factor of high school students. Mean value of experimental group B 's creativity and it's sub factors: originality, problem solving, elaboration, and fluency which was treated systematic free association was increased. 3. It was found that two different divergent thinking does not show any meaningful difference in creativities of two groups. However, the meaningful difference was found in post creativity test in each groups sub-factors. There was meaningful difference in practicality factor, though there was no meaningful difference in originality, elaboration, fluency factors. Using the obtained results, it was concluded that intuitive thinking and systematic thinking play different roles in practicality which is one of sub-factors of the creativity of high school students. Consequently, it can be concluded that systematic thinking which leads students to take a step to solve a given problem can elicit more scientific thinking, and helps students create more practical solution in problem solving than intuitive thinking that emphasize the quantitative aspect of ideas.

Conceptual Design for Fully Electrified Car Ferry Powered by Removable Battery System (이동식 전원공급장치 기반 전기추진차도선의 개념설계 연구)

  • The increasing international awareness regarding air pollutant reduction has resulted in increasing demand for eco-friendly ships; hence, electric ships are being actively developed by various countries. Presently, studies on electric ships are mainly focused on electric propulsion systems and electric motors. However, from the ship perspective, there are no studies on conceptual designs for coastal car ferries powered by removable power supply systems. In the present study, the main research consideration is regarding the conceptual design of a fully electrified car ferry using a battery-based removable system as the main power source. By analyzing the dimensions of more than 100 domestic coastal car ferries, the main criteria satisfying the requirements for developing a suitable vessel were derived, and a study on intact/damage stability was conducted considering the application of a removable battery truck. Further analyses of the problems concerning the conceptual design were also performed to derive solutions.
