Performance Evaluation of Steel Frame and Steel Damper Reinforced in RC frame (RC 골조에 보강된 강재프레임과 강재댐퍼의 성능 평가)

  • In this study, the performance evaluation of the RC frame specimen (RV2) which was strengthened by a steel frame and a steel damper with the lateral deformation prevention details proceeded. The comparison objects are bare frame specimen (BF), RV2 and AWD, where AWD is a specimen reinforced with steel damper and aramid fiber sheets. In the evaluation of envelope curve, stiffness degradation, and energy dissipation capacity, RV2 was evaluated to have excellent capacity as a whole. To evaluate the strengthening effect of the steel frame based on the maximum strength and energy dissipation capacity, it was evaluated to have a 38% of the RV2's capacity.

  • 소설미디어의 급증과 함께 온라인 리뷰의 의존성이 급증하는 가운데 사용자의 올바른 의사결정을 저해하는 기만적 의견 스팸 이슈가 새롭게 주목받고 있다. 기존의 의견 스팸 연구는 실제 리뷰와 의견 스팸 간의 차이를 어휘, 품사 또는 감정단어와 같은 표면적 자질을 통해 설명하였으나 그들간의 의미적 연결관계는 고려하지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 1) 의미적 프레임 기반의 텍스트 분석기법을 제안하고, 이를 바탕으로 2) 의견 스팸과 실제 리뷰간의 의미적 차이가 있음을 규명하며 3) 새로운 의미적 프레임 자질을 사용하여 기존의 의견 스팸 분류 성능을 향상시킬 수 있음을 보인다.

An Experimental Study For Improvement of Joint Detail of Steel Pier - Foundation (강재교각 기초부의 연결상세 개선을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • Generally, a steel pier-foundation has been designed and constructed with a anchor frame. However, because of the complicated design and construction, the foundation's size has become large and has been overdesigned. In this study, three specimens were made and the tests were conducted to suggest a new shape in regard to the pier-foundation's joint details using the high performance steel. One of the specimens was made up of the general anchors and the anchor frame. Another specimen consisted of the high tension anchors and the studs, and the other specimen was composed of the high tension anchors and the inner steels. After the performance of each specimen was compared and analyzed, the behavior characteristics according to the joint were analyzed.

  • This study investigates the performance of composite (steel-concrete) frame structures through numerical experiments on individual connections. The innovative aspects of this research are in the use of connections between steel beams and concrete-filled tube (CFT)columns that utilize a combination of low-carbon steel and shape memory alloy (SMA) components. In these new connections, the intent is to utilize the recentering provided by super-elastic shape memory alloy tension bars to reduce building damage and residual drift after a major earthquake. The low-carbon steel components provide excellent energy dissipation. The analysis and design of these structures is complicated because the connections cannot be modeled as being simply pins or full fixity ones they are partial restraint (PR). A refined finite element (FE) model with sophisticated three dimensional (3D) solid elements was developed to conduct numerical experiments on PR-CFT joints to obtain the global behavior of the connection. Based on behavioral information obtained from these FE tests, simplified connection models were formulated by using joint elements with spring components. The behavior of entire frames under cyclic loads was conducted and compared with the monotonic behavior obtained from the 3D FE simulations. Good agreement was found between the simple and sophisticated models, verifying the robustness of the approach.

  • Many studies have examined the reduction of primary noise sources, but quality-related noise, such as BSR, is rarely studied. This study describes the quantitative BSR test method using a multi-axial simulator. The sine sweep test was conducted to detect the system resonance and its relation to BSR noise with high frequency. This method is applied to the seat frame with/without the vibration durability test. The results showed that the $1^{st}$ lateral resonance leads to higher BSR frequency noise. In addition, the reduction of the lateral mode system stiffness after the durability test results in a decrease in the BSR noise in sine sweep test mode.

  • 본 연구에서는 카메라의 촬영 시점에 의해서 발생되는 원근감이 광학 흐름 생성에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 살펴보고 광학 흐름 기반 이상행동 탐지 솔루션의 성능을 고도화하기 위해 기존 광학 흐름 영상으로부터 소실점 기반 가중치 행렬을 계산하여 원근감에 따른 광학 흐름 정도를 평활하는 기법에 대해서 연구한다. 카메라의 뷰포인트에 따라 원근감의 발생 정도나 객체의 크기 및 움직임의 정도가 달라지게 되며, 이는 원본 영상 프레임을 광학 흐름의 크기와 방향성으로 표현하는 영상 변환 네트워크를 가진 생성적 적대 신경망을 학습할 때 정상적인 행동 패턴의 범위를 결정짓는 데 방해가 될 수 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 데이터셋의 배경으로부터 소실점을 추출하고 원근감에 따라 결정되는 광학 흐름의 크기를 평활하는 기법을 개발하여 기존 모델의 성능과 비교하였으며, 프레임 단위의 정확도 성능이 5.75% 향상된 것으로 확인되었다.

  • In this study, it is demonstrated by a pseudo dynamic earthquake response tests that combination of semi-rigid partial-strength using the high performance-high strength bolts and inter-story hysteretic damper system creates a fairly good structural system that satisfies not only the serviceability requirement under moderate earthquakes but unexpected failure of damper system.

  • Current trends in steel construction include using tapered, non-compact sections to minimize the use of excess material as much as possible by choosing the cross-sections instead of the classical approach of using prismatic members. In addition, snug conditions, especially the end-plate type, have the advantage of incurring less construction costs and shorter assembly times as opposed to full pre-tensioned conditions. On the other hand, it is important to predict the collapse of the PEB system due to over-loading. Large-scale tests of tapered steel portal frames with non-compact sections were conducted. The primary test parameters included the bolt connection method and the loading condition (vertical and horizontal load). The test results on initial stiffness and load capacity were investigated. Furthermore, comparisons between the analytical and experimental data for load-displacement curves were initiated. In addition, we evaluated the applicability of a snug bolt for the PEB frame in the field.

A Design on the Audit Framework of the User Interface for the Web Accessibility (웹 접근성 강화를 위한 유저 인터페이스 감리 프레임워크 설계)

  • The user interface is the medium, which provides the users to have an access to the web-based information system. The user interface is the means of improving usability and accessibility for the user, as well as being the core component in the web-based information system. In this paper, the audit framework of the user interface was developed to upgrade the usability and accessibility; it was based on the three basic components of the current audit framework in the web-based information system. At the time of an audit, the UI process of the 'Analysis', 'UI Design', 'UI Production', and 'Test' was defined, which was analyzed through the web development methodology. Also, for the area of an audit, the 'Information', 'Design', and 'Technology' were defined by the analysis of the components that makes up the user interface, From the view of an audit, the standard criteria of an assessment were set as 'Usability', 'Accessibility', and 'Cross Browsing'. Through the framework that was proposed in this paper, practical audit applies the performed examples. By this, the efficiency of the proposed framework was verified.

Optimum Design of Steel Structures Using Genetic Algorithms (유전자 알고리즘을 사용한 강구조물의 최적설계)

  • We present optimum design for truss and frame structures subject to constraints on stresses, displacement, and natural frequency. The optimum design procedure is used discrete and continuous design variables and Genetic Algorithms. Genetic Algorithms is used the method of Elitism and penalty parameters in order to improved fitness in the reproduction process, and optimum design is used steel(W-section) and pre-made discrete cross-section. Truss and frame structures optimization examples are used for 10-Bar truss, 25-Bar truss, 1-bay 2-story frame, 1-bay 7-story frame, and these examples are employed to demonstrate the availability and serviceability of Genetic Algorithms for solving optimum design of truss and frame.
