This paper suggests user's interface with computer by means of detecting gaze under HMD, head mounted display, environment. System is derived as follows; firstly, calibrate a camera in HMD, which determines geometrical relationship between monitor and captured image. Second, detect the center of pupil using algorithm of the center of mass and represent a gazing position on the computer screen. If user blinks or stares at a certain position for a while, message is sent to computer. Experimental results show the center of mass is robust against glint effects, and detecting error was 7.1%. and 4.85% in vertical and horizontal direction, respectively. To adjust detailed movement of a mouse takes 0.8 sec more. The 98% of blinking is detected successfully and 94% of clicking detection is resulted.

휴대폰에 이용한 금융 활동이 늘어남에 따라 휴대폰 상에서의 보안의 필요성이 높아지게 되었다. 기존의 비밀번호 기반의 보안을 넘어 생체인식 기술이 휴대폰에 필요하게 되었다. 특히 홍채인식 기술이 지문인식이나 얼굴인식, 목소리 인식 등의 다른 생체인식 기술에 비해 신뢰성과 정확성 면에서 휴대폰에 적합한 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 휴대폰 환경에서 만족할 만한 성능과 처리시간을 보여주는 홍채인식 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 밝기와 대조를 조절하여 동공의 어두운 부분과 동공 반사광을 이용하여 홍채영역을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. ARM 계열의 프로세서를 사용하는 휴대폰 프로세서의 특징에 맞도록 기존의 방법에서 사용되었던 실수 연산 방법을 줄여 처리 속도를 개선하였다. 실험 결과는 제안하는 방법의 휴대폰 환경에서 실시간으로 홍채인식을 수행하기에 적합한 성능을 보인다는 것을 보여준다.

본 논문에서는 HMD(Head Mounted Display) 하단에 눈동자의 움직임 영상을 취득할 수 있는 USB 카메라를 부착한 후, 3차원 1인칭 슈팅(First Person Shooting) 게임에서 게임 캐릭터의 시선방향을 눈동자 움직임에 의해 조작하는 방법을 제안한다. 시스템은 입력 영상으로부터 눈동자의 중심 위치를 실시간 영상 처리 방법으로 추출하고, 눈동자의 위치 정보와 모니터상의 응시 지점사이의 기하학적인 연관관계를 결정하는 캘리브레이션을 진행하며, 캘리브레이션 정보를 기반으로 모니터 상의 최종적인 응시 위치를 결정하여 이 정보에 의해 게임상의 3차원 뷰(view) 방향을 조정하는 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 실험 결과 본 논문의 방법에 의해 손이 불편한 사용자에게 게임을 즐길 수 있는 기회를 제공하고, 게임 캐릭터와 게임 사용자의 시선 방향을 일치시킴으로서 게임의 흥미와 몰입감을 증가시킬 수 있는 결과를 얻음을 수 있었다.

한국감성과학회의 홈페이지의 구성을 위하여 형식 문법(HTML ;Hyper Text Markup Language)의 작성은 넷스케이프(NETSCAPE)의 컴포저(composer)을 이용하였으며, 필요한 그림 및 아이콘(Icon)은 Adobe photoshop 4.0버전으로 작성하였고, Map This 1.3버전을 이용하여 이미지 맵들을 구성하여 학회의 홈페이지를 만들었다. 감성과학회의 홈페이지를 시작으로 회원마당/가입안내, 학회안내, 행사일정 및 소식, 학회논문 검색, 국제정보를 하부구조로 구성하였으며, 각 하부구조 밑에 또 다른 하부구조를 구성하도록 하였다. 이렇게 본 학회의 홈페이지를 구축함으로써 쉽게 학회의 행사 및 소식을 회원에게 전달할 수 있으며, 학회의 가입 및 신청과 논문 투고요령, 학회에 관련한 국제정보 및 학회의 조직 및 학회 강령을 각 회원 및 비회원에게도 편리하게 홍보할 수 있으며, 세계적인 수준의 학회로도 발전해 갈 수 있다.

본 연구는 이미지의 장르의 차이가 사용자의 시각 피로도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구이다. 실험은 20명의 대학생을 대상으로 각각 다른 감성반응을 위해 선정된 다큐멘터리, 사랑, 뉴스 및 스포츠 장르의 이미지를 각각 10장씩을 보여주고, 그에 따른 시각 피로도를 자율신경계 반응 측정(PPG, GSR,SKT)과 동공 영상 기록(동공 변화율) 및 주관적 설문(불쾌도, 긴장도, 피로도)을 하였다. 유의성 검증을 위하여 이미지의 장르를 독립변수로 그에 따른 종속변수를 개인차가 고려된 생리신호 결과와 동공 변화율(픽셀/초) 및 주관적 설문 응답 결과로 하여 일변량 분산 분석을 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 이미지의 장르에 따라 불쾌, 긴장 및 피로 할 경우 자율 신경계 반응의 특정한 패턴을 발견 할 수 있었다.

In this paper, we propose a method that extracts invariant iris codes from user's iris pattern in order to apply these codes to a new cryptographic construct called fuzzy vault. The fuzzy vault, proposed by Juels and Sudan, has been used to manage cryptographic key safely by merging with biometrics. Generally, iris data has intra-variation of iris pattern according to sensed environmental changes, but cryptography requires correctness. Therefore, to combine iris data and fuzzy vault, we have to extract an invariant iris feature from iris pattern. In this paper, we obtain invariant iris codes by clustering iris features extracted by independent component analysis(ICA) transform. From experimental results, we proved that the iris codes extracted by our method are invariant to sensed environmental changes and can be used in fuzzy vault.

2005년 9월의 총선거를 거쳐 11월에 독일에서 처음으로 여성 수상인 앙켈라 메르켈 총리가 이끄는 대연립정권이 탄생하였다. 총선거 전에는 메르켈 총리가 소속된 기독민주사회동맹(CDU/CSU)이 자유민주당(FDP)과 연린정권을 구성하는 것으로 예상되었으나 사회민주당(SDP)의 선거전 후반의 맹렬한 추격으로 CDU/CSU의 득표수가 늘어나지 못하여, 결국 CDU/CSU는 SPD와 같이 대연립정권을 꾸미게 되었다. 이 양 당은 선거 전에 에너지정책 분야에서는 서로 용납치 않는 정책강력을 발표하여 왔었다. 특히 원자력 정책에 있어서는 양 당의 의견에 격차가 심하여 총선거 후에 실시되었던 정책 협의과정에서 최후까지 합의가 이루어지지 못한 사항의 하나였다. 2005년 11월 11일에 발표된 대연립정권의 정책강령에 담겨진 에너지 정책의 개요를 소개함과 동시에 에너지 정책에 있어서의 앞으로의 과제에 관하여 기술한다.

In this paper, we propose a fuzzy vault system using iris data. The fuzzy vault, proposed by Juels and Sudan, has been used to protect cryptographic key with biometric information. In order to combine the fuzzy vault scheme with iris data, we used iris features extracted by ICA method and clustering technique. From our experimental results, we proved that the propose fuzzy vault system is robust to sensed environmental change.

This study is designed to prove the role and effect of ethics codes in professional societies, especially for scientists and engineers working in R&D project groups. The hypotheses of influence on ethical conduct within the sample groups are tested and analyzed by statistical methods. Results show that the age of researchers and the integrity factor among the ethical conduct factors have significant influence on ethical conduct of research groups. The regression model of the ethical conduct factors also indicates a meaningful reference in an application or development of new ethics code in research organizations.

Purpose: The purpose of our study was to introduce an oath and ethics code for emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Methods: The proposed oath and ethics code for the EMTs was evaluated using a modified Delphi technique. This oath and ethics code was presented at Korean association of emergency medical technician conference and was revised by experts in emergency medical services. Results: We examined the ethics codes for other allied healthcare professionals regarding the topics of human rights, health promotion, acting as an advocate, ethics, cooperation, observance, human rights, right to know, self-determination, confidentiality, and professionalism. These elements are reflected in our proposed oath and ethics code for EMTs. Conclusion: The proposed oath and ethics code would raise the professional status of EMTs.
