The hardware scatters as well as the engine parameters calibration have strong influences on exhaust emissions in recent diesel engines. In this research DoE(Design of Experiments) optimizations were done to study the possibility of minimizing the emission deviations caused by flow rate scatters of the injectors. It has been shown that the optimization of engine calibration, which minimizes the emission deviations, is feasible by establishing a target function representing the emission deviations for test results of maximum, mean and minimum flow rate injectors. It has also been shown that optimization of both emission deviations and emission level is possible by sequential DoE optimizations of the target functions representing the emission level and the emission deviations respectively with the appropriate boundary limits.

In wireless sensor networks, data dissemination is based on data-centric routing that well matches the publish/subscribe communication paradigm. The publish/subscribe paradigm requires decoupling properties: space, time, and synchronization decoupling. For large-scale applications, the three decoupling properties provide scalability and robust communication. However, existing data dissemination schemes for wireless sensor networks do not achieve full decoupling. Therefore, we propose a novel data dissemination scheme that fully accomplishes the three decoupling, called ARBIETER. ARBITER constructs an independent network structure as a logical software bus. Information interworking between publishers and subscribers is indirectly and asynchronously performed via the network structure. ARBITER also manages storage and mapping of queries and data on the structure because of supporting different time connection of publishers and subscribers. Our simulation proves ARBITER show better performance in terms of scalability, network robustness, data responsibility, mobility support, and energy efficiency.

According to the Personal Information Protection Act and Pseudonymization Guidelines, the mapping is processed to the hash value of the combination key generation items including Salt value when different combination applicants wish to combine. Example of combination key generation items may include personal information like name, phone number, date of birth, address, and so on. Also, due to the properties of the hash functions, when different applicants store their items in exactly the same form, the combination can proceed without any problems. However, this method is vulnerable to combination in scenarios such as address changing and renaming, which occur due to different database update times of combination applicants. Therefore, we propose a privacy preserving combination key generation scheme robust to updates of items used to generate combination key even in scenarios such as address changing and renaming, based on the thresholds through probabilistic record linkage, and it can contribute to the development of domestic Big Data and Artificial Intelligence business.
Purpose: In the breast cancer patient, lymphatic mapping and sentinel lymph node biopsy are the most important procedure for axillary lymph node staging. We aimed to compare the three radiocolloids [$^{99m}Tc$-antimony trisulfide colloid (ASC), $^{99m}Tc$-tin colloid (TC), and $^{99m}Tc$-human serum albumin (HSA)] for sentinel lymph node mapping. Subjects and Methods: Totally, 397 patients with clinically N0 stage were enrolled. $^{99m}Tc$-ASC was injected in 202 out of 397 patients, $^{99m}Tc$-TC was injected in 120 patients, and $^{99m}Tc$-HSA was injected in the remaining 75 patients. The sentinel lymph nodes were localized by lymphoscintigraphy and selected using intraoperative gamma probe. All sentinel lymph nodes were investigated by intraoperative pathologic consultation. The axillary lymph nodes which were harvested by the lymph node dissection were also investigated. Results: The patients of each group showed similar clinical characteristics. There were no significant differences (p>0.05) in the identification rate of sentinel lymph nodes (IR), false negative rate (FNR), and negative predictive value (NPV). The axillary lymphadenectomy revealed axillary lymph node metastases in those three groups (ASC-33.2%, TC-31.7%, HSA-22.7%). The IR, FNR, and NPV were not significantly different among those groups. Conclusion: Those three $^{99m}Tc$-labeled radiocolloids showed equivalent results in sentinel lymph node mapping of breast cancer.
This paper proposes a method to directly retarget facial motion capture data to the facial rig. Facial rig is an essential tool in the production pipeline, which allows helping the artist to create facial animation. The direct mapping method from the motion capture data to the facial rig provides great convenience because artists are already familiar with the use of a facial rig and the direct mapping produces the mapping results that are ready for the artist's follow-up editing process. However, mapping the motion data into a facial rig is not a trivial task because a facial rig typically has a variety of structures, and therefore it is hard to devise a generalized mapping method for various facial rigs. In this paper, we propose a data-driven approach to the robust mapping from motion capture data to an arbitary facial rig. The results show that our method is intuitive and leads to increased productivity in the creation of facial animation. We also show that our method can retarget the expression successfully to non-human characters which have a very different shape of face from that of human.
This study aims for building an application system of converting sound into color image based on synesthetic perception. As the major features of input sound, both scale and octave elements extracted from F0(fundamental frequency) were converted into both hue and intensity elements of HSI color model, respectively. In this paper, we used the fixed saturation value as 0.5. On the basis of color model conversion theory, the HSI color model was then converted into the RGB model, so that a color image of the BMP format was finally created. In experiments, the basic system was implemented on both software and hardware(TMS320C6713 DSP) platforms based on the proposed sound-color image conversion method. The results revealed that diverse color images with different hues and intensities were created depending on scales and octaves extracted from the F0 of input sound signals. The outputs on the hardware platform were also identical to those on the software platform.
This paper suggests a method for generating high qualify stereo video avatar to support visual communication in a CAVE$^{TM}$-like system. In such a system because of frequent change of light projected onto screens around user, it is not easy to extract user silhouette robustly, which is an essential step to generate a video avatar. In this study, we use an infrared reflective image acquired by a grayscale camera with a longpass filter so that the change of visible light on a screen is blocked to extract robust user silhouette. In addition, using two color cameras positioned at a distance of a binocular disparity of human eyes, we acquire two stereo images of the user for fast generation and stereoscopic display of a high quality video avatar without 3D reconstruction. We also suggest a fitting algorithm of a silhouette mask on an infrared reflective image into an acquired color image to remove background. Generated stereo images of a video avatar are texture mapped into a plane in virtual world and can be displayed in stereoscopic using frame sequential stereo method. Suggested method have advantages that it generates high quality video avatar taster than 3D approach and it gives stereoscopic feeling to a user 2D based approach can not provide.
