  • 염료감응 태양전지(dye-sensitized solar cells, DSSCs)는 식물의 광합성원리와 매우 유사한 작동원리를 갖고 있는 전지이며, 간단한 구조, 저렴한 제조단가, 친환경성 등의 등의 장점으로 인하여 많은 관심을 모으고 있다. 이러한 염료감응 태양전지는 빛을 받아들인 염료분자가 전자-홀 쌍을 생성하며 전자는 반도체 산화물을 통해 이동되고 전해질의 산화환원 과정을 통해 염료 분자가 다시 환원되는 순환메커니즘을 따르고 있다. 일반적으로 염료감응 태양전지는 밴드 갭 에너지가 큰 반도체 산화물을 포함하는 작업전극, 산화환원 반응을 통해 전자를 염료로 보내는 전해질, 환원 촉매역할을 하는 상대전극으로 구성되어 있다. 특히, 상대전극으로는 우수한 촉매특성과 높은 전도성을 갖는 백금이 가장 많이 이용되고 있지만 가격이 비싸고 요오드에 취약하기 때문에 상용화에 큰 장애물이다. 따라서, 백금을 대체하기 위해 저가의 탄소나 고분자에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있고, 그 중 탄소나노섬유(carbon nanofiber, CNFs)는 높은 표면적과 뛰어난 화학적 안정성으로 촉매효율을 증대시킬 수 있어 촉매물질로서 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 상대전극에 탄소나노섬유기반 복합체를 합성하였고, 성공적으로 저가격 및 고성능의 염료감응 태양전지를 제작하였다. 이때, 지지체인 탄소나노섬유는 전기방사법을 통해 합성하였으며, 수열합성법을 이용하여 금속산화물을 담지하였다. 이렇게 제작된 탄소나노섬유-Fe2O3 복합체는 scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, 그리고 X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy 통해 구조적, 화학적 특성을 평가하였으며 전기화학적 특성 및 광전변환 효율을 분석하기 위해 cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, 그리고 solar simulator를 사용하였다. 본 학회에서 위와 관련된 더 자세한 사항에 대해 논의할 것이다.

Surface Pressure Measurement on a Rotor Blade using Fast-Responding PSP (고속압력감응페인트를 이용한 로터 블레이드 표면 압력 측정)

  • The present study was conducted by using fast-responding PSP technique to measure the surface pressure on a small-scale rotor blade in hover. Also, the study was performed to verify the accuracy and investigate its possibility of PSP application for rotor blade pressure measurement. Pulsed laser which has 532 nm wavelength was used as a light source. Lifetime measurement technique was applied. Also, the coated paint on a rotor blade was porous PSP which has faster response time than conventional PSP. The blades had NACA0012 airfoils. The length of rotor blade was 340 mm and chord was 40 mm with rectangular shape 1 set, and 4 sets had several tip sweepback angles. The measured results qualitatively showed that the upper surface pressure decreases with increasing the collective pitch angle. Quantitative pressure coefficients of PSP results were higher approximately 0.4 to 0.7 than the pressure tap data of the NASA experiment.

Development of a Signal Control Algorithm Using an Individual Vehicle's Data in a Wireless Environment (무선통신 환경에서의 개별차량 정보를 이용한 교차로 신호제어 알고리즘 개발)

  • Recently, as IT technology and the ubiquitous environment have diffused, the application of these techniques are being attempted in the field of traffic operations and management. Therefore, it is necessary to develop data collection systems and signal control strategies that are suitable in the ubiquitous environment and that will improve efficiency and safety of signalized intersections. The authors conducted a study on the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) signal control strategy using a wireless communication network between individual vehicles and a signal-control system and full actuated signal control technique to propose a new signal control strategy in the ubiquitous environment. The WSN was defined to evaluate the algorithm used with PARAMICS API simulation. The simulation produced results that the WSN signal control is more effective than other signal control methods. The WSN signal control could reduce vehicle delay time to a maximum of 64% in comparison with other signal control methods in low and near saturation flow conditions.

Formation of Complex Between Polyelectrolytes and pH/Temperature Sensitive Copolymers (고분자전해질과 pH/온도감응성 고분자 사이의 복합체 형성에 관한 연구)

  • Random copolymers of N-isopropyl acrylamide (NIPAAm) and acrylic acid (AAc) which exhibit temperature- and pH-responsive behavior were synthesized by free-radical polymerization. The copolymers were characterized by means of FT-IR spectrometry and titration. The influence of polyelectrolyte on the lower critical solution temperature (LCST) of pH/temperature-sensitive polymers was investigated in the pH range of 2-12. The LCSTs of PNIPAAm/water in poly(NIPAAm-co-AAc) were determined by cloud-point measurements. A polyelectrolyte complex was prepared by mixing poly(NIPAAm-co-AAc) with poly(allylamine) (PAA) or poly(L-lysine) (PLL) solutions as anionic and cationic polyelectrolytes, respectively. Back titration was performed to determine the content of AAc and to study the effect of comonomer ionization on the LCST. The LCSTs of PNIPAAm/water in the copolymers were strongly affected by pH, presence of polyelectrolyte, AAc content, and charge density on the polymer. The polyelectrolyte complexes were formed at neutral condition. The influence of more hydrophobic PLL as polyelectrolyte on the cloud-point of PNIPAAm/water in the copolymer was stronger than that of poly(allylamine) (PAA).

  • 급속한 산업의 발달은 심각한 환경오염 및 에너지 문제를 가져왔다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 무한한 에너지원인 태양에너지를 원천으로 하는 친환경 정화소재로서의 광촉매(photocatalyst)를 통하여 인류의 에너지를 확보하는 것에 대한 관심이 급격하게 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 현재 광촉매로 가장 많이 사용되는 $TiO_2$의 경우 뛰어난 광활성에도 불구하고, 상대적으로 넓은 밴드갭(band gap) 으로 인한 가시광 응답성의 부재로 이를 해결하기 위한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 PIII&D (plasma immersion ion implantation & deposition) 장비를 통하여 -60 kV의 펄스 고전압을 인가해 $TiO_2$에 좁은 band gap을 갖는 반도체를 이온주입하여 가시광 응답성을 갖는 양자점 감응(Quantum dot sensitized)형 광촉매를 제작하였다. 이온주입 후 시료의 chemical state와 crystallinity를 확인하기 위하여 X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy와 X-ray diffraction measurement를 이용하여 분석을 수행하였으며, 이러한 공정을 통해 제작된 양자점 감응형 광촉매의 가시광 응답성을 확인하기 위하여 UV/Vis 스펙트럼을 측정하였다. 또한 광촉매의 효율을 확인하기 위해 물 분해 장치(water splitting device) 를 제작하여 수소와 산소를 생성하였다.

  • A mugwort-tissue-based modified carbon paste electrode was constructed for the amperometric detection of hydrogen peroxide and its electrochemical properties are described. Especially the amperometric signal was very stable and bigger than any other enzyme electrode studied in this lab. The effect of tissue composition on the response was linear within the wide range of experiment and the linearity of Lineweaver-Burk plot showed that the sensing process of the biosensor is by enzymatic catalysis. And pH dependent current profile connoted that two isozymes are active in this system.

Thermosensitive Chitosan-based Hydrogel with Growth Factor as Adhesion Barrier (성장인자/키토산이 담지된 온도감응성 하이드로젤의 유착방지제로서의 응용)

  • The adhesion of tissue and organ occur with frequency after surgery. Theomosensitive hydrogel was prepared from poloxamer/chitosan/epidermal growth factor as adhesion barrier agent. The prepared hydrogel showed sol-gel transition temperatures around human temperature and gelation temperature was the faster within 1 min. The hydrogel sustained the release of epidermal grow factor during 7 days. The hydrogel was highly effective for the prevention of tissue and organ adhesion in rat model. The thermosensitive and antibacterial chitosan hydrogel can be useful to consider the anti-adhesion barrier with increased adhesion of organ and sustained release of epidermal growth factor.

The $Pb^{2+}$ Ion Affinitive Membrane Electrode Based on New Calix[4]arene Ionophore (새로운 캘릭스[4]아렌 유도체를 이용한 $Pb^{2+}$ 이온 친화성 막전극)

  • The ion selective membrane electrode made of calix[4]arene-based host 1 as ionophore, poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) as matrix and dioctylsebacate (DOS) as a plasticizer was studied. The potential responses of this membrane electrode to alkali, alkaline earth and transition metal cations were investigated. Especially this membrane electrode was turned out to be affinitive for $Pb^{2+}$ in the deionized water. It was observed that the response was linear in the concentration range from $1.0 \times 10^{-1} M to 1.0 \times 10^{-6} M of Pb^{2+}$ and its slope (26.5 mV/decade) was near to the sub-Nernstian response in deionized water. Also, the potential was maintained constantly in the range of pH $4.00 \sim 12.00$, which supports the potential usage as $Pb^{2+}$ affinitive electrode in the deionized water.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate visitor and expert responsiveness for trail facilities in the Huibangsa, Yeonwhabong route of, Sobaeksan National Park in order to provide basic information for effective trail building and maintenance. The questionnaire surveys with 125 samples in visitor and 12 experts as the special panel were conducted. Evaluation results indicate statistical difference between the two groups in responsiveness for 6 types of trail facilities. In addition, 2 types of facilities, such as stone paving and boardwalk, were evaluated as the effective trail facility types. Steel bridge and steel steps may require improvement of the design consideration for with taking advantage of natural landscape.

Loading Behavior of pH-Responsive P(MAA-co-EGMA) Hydrogel Microparticles for Intelligent Drug Delivery Applications (지능형 약물전달시스템을 위한 pH 감응형 P(MAA-co-EGMA) 수화젤 미세입자의 탑재거동)

  • pH-responsive P(MAA-co-EGMA) hydrogel microparticles were synthesized via dispersion photo polymerization and the feasibility of the particles as the cosmetic formulation was investigated. Rh-B and the functional materials for the cosmetic application such as ascorbic acid, adenosine, EGCG, and arbutin were loaded in the P (MAA-co-EGMA) hydrogel microparticles in order to examine the interaction between the hydrogel and the loaded materials. In the loading experiments, Rh-B showed the highest loading efficiency to the P(MAA-co-EGMA) hydrogels due to the electrostatic attraction between the negative charge of the hydrogels and the positive charge of Rh-B at the ionized states. However, the functional materials showed relatively low loading efficiencies because of the electrostatic repulsions between the negative charges of both the hydrogels and the materials at the ionized states. In addition, P(MAA-co-EGMA) hydrogel microparticles showed pH-responsive release behavior of Rh-B according to the external pH changes.
