The syndromic surveillance system is designed to identify illness clusters before diagnoses are confirmed and reported to public health agencies, to provide rapid public health response, and thereby to reduce morbidity and mortality. Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) has implemented the emergency department-based syndromic surveillance system. To design upgraded and enhanced functions of the current syndromic surveillance system in KCDC for the early warning of adverse disease events, we surveyed many papers. This paper describes the operation status of syndromic surveillance system in other countries and the improvement of the syndromic surveillance system in KCDC.

본 논문에서는 감시카메라의 에너지 효율성과 영상 감시의 효율성을 높이기 위해서 이벤트 기반으로 작동하는 저에너지 DIY (Do-It-Yourself)감시 카메라 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 감시 카메라는 이벤트 감지 모드에서는 저전력 경량압축 모드로 작동하다가 움직임이 검출된 경우에만 고압축/고해상도 모드로 자동 전환되어 이벤트 발생시점 이후뿐만 아니라 이벤트 발생 3초 전의 영상까지 압축하여 무선으로 서버로 전송한다. 또한, 서버에 저장된 영상은 사후에 추출할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 실시간으로 원격 단말로 스트리밍이 가능하여 원격지에서 이벤트 발생을 보고 받고 필요시에 실시간으로 모니터링 할 수 있도록 시스템을 구성하여 실용성을 강화하였다.

This paper proposes a new approach to video surveillance systems, which have become essential components in modern urban management. By utilizing blockchain and IPFS, it enhances data integrity and privacy protection. Additionally, anomaly detection and automatic video storage are enabled through object detection technology, thus improving urban safety and security. This integrated approach serves as an efficient management methodology for surveillance systems, providing city administrators and citizens with a safer and more effective monitoring environment.

The purpose of the paper is to provide policy suggestions for effectively tackling subway crimes, based on the UK and USA's crime control strategies and systems of subway crimes. The paper attempts to analyze the characteristics of subway crimes in Seoul Subways, and discovers that many of the crimes on the subways are basically 'opportunistic' crimes. In particular, crime statistics of Seoul Subways clearly show that sexual-related crimes are on the sharp increase. In this context, it is of great essence that official vigilance functions should be strengthened in order to eliminate crime opportunities in Seoul Subways. Based on such an analysis - in particular, focusing on official surveillance and response capabilities of subway passengers - the paper finally presents policy recommendations as follows: 1) an increase in the number of police officers of the Subway Police Squad, 2) an increase in the number of CCTV cameras and their effective use, 3) the development of subway riders' defence abilities, 4) strong law enforcement against minor disorder offences based on zero-tolerance policing, and 5) the reinforcement of community partnerships.

Even in the marine industry was required the looser positioning performance as compared to other application domain, a high-quality positioning performance and reliability are becoming ever more important. The high-quality performance includes not only accuracy but also integrity, continuity, and availability. However, current DGPS service is not satisfying the minimum positioning performance requirements for maritime user proposed by IMO. Especially, no one can guarantee the required integrity performance by DGPS service. This paper presents the advanced monitoring concept to strengthen the performance of current DGPS through the enhanced monitoring, guarantee and notice functions. To this, the limitations of the integrity monitoring function of current DGPS are analyzed, and a countermeasure is prepared to improve the limitations of the current integrity monitoring function. This paper can be applied as basis research to improvement of the DGPS service.

2010년11월 23일 14:00 북한의 연평도 포격사건 이후 주야간으로 원거리 적을 감시하거나 미확인 표적을 확인 할 수 있는 장비가 필요하다고 생각되어진다. 한국천문연구원은 그 동안 천체관측을 목적으로 시민천문대 및 연구용으로 60cm급 광학망원경과 위성용 적외선망원경과 카메라를 개발하여 왔다. 이 기술을 이용하여 군에서 활용할 수 있는 주야간 대구경 감시 시스템을 개발 할 수 있으리라 본다. 또한 개발 한다면 대적 감시능력을 강화할 것이며, 국방의 핵심기술을 확보하리라 생각되어진다.
