Structural study on storytelling of VR contents (VR 콘텐츠의 스토리텔링에 대한 구조적 연구)

  • Modern society is the era of convergence, and storytelling requires the necessity of storytelling in which two types of data types, emotional stories and information, are fused. Particularly, in the case of VR contents, the user must directly participate in the content and select the information through the process of freely searching $360^{\circ}$ space, so that the user can interact with the content immediately. Therefore, there is a limit to access to the existing storytelling method, and it is considered that the implementation of 'convergent storytelling' that meets two areas of sensitivity and information is considered to be an urgent genre. In this paper, we focus on the spatial characteristics of VR contents, and then, as a way to effectively implement 'convergent storytelling' in VR contents, We propose a custom system by organizing the type into a circle structure. Based on this, it is expected that the technology will be developed into a research of a personalized system that meets two areas of emotion and information by utilizing the context recognition process for VR content and interaction in the fourth industrial revolution era.

Content Analysis of Digital Reality Contents as a Branded Entertainment (가상현실 및 증강현실을 활용한 브랜디드 엔터테인먼트의 내용분석 연구)

  • Recently, virtual reality and augmented reality technology have been extensively utilized in brand communication. The purpose of this study is to investigate digital reality contents as branded entertainment and content-analyze its format and contents for brand communication. Coding categories were derived to examine marketing characteristics of 300 digital reality contents and key descriptive statistics were presented and interpreted. The results revealed that consumer responses(i.e., view count, like, and dislike) toward Branded Digital Reality contents vary according to types of storytelling. Moreover, perceived values of contents also varied by the types of digital reality(VR vs. AR). Based on the results, this paper discusses the academical and managerial implications of study findings.

Continuance Use Intention of Voice Commerce Using the Value-attitude-behavior Model (가치-태도-행동 모델에 기반한 음성 쇼핑 지속이용의도에 관한 연구)

  • Voice technology allows consumers to make purchases through smart devices, and the interest in voice-driven conversational commerce has significantly expanded. In this study, we explored the continuance use intention of voice commerce, and the adoption of a value-attitude-behavior model. An online survey was conducted on 360 individuals who used an artificial intelligence assistant device in a voice commerce environment. We used Amos 23.0 and SPSS 25.0 for descriptive, confirmatory, and structural equation modeling analyses. These results indicated that functional value was the highest influencing variable on satisfaction of voice commerce, while social, emotional, and epistemic values significantly influenced it as well. Additionally, satisfaction of voice commerce significantly influenced the continuance use intention of voice commerce. These findings could help us understand the characteristics of voice commerce users and the diversity value in voice commerce environment.

  • The main purpose of this study is to examines peculiar competitive advantages of Korean women businessmen(Han-Sang) in Australia. The results of case analysis are summarized as follows. First competitive advantage is CEO's excellent dynamic capabilities like wonderful adaptability, woman's unique delicate management style, mom's unique emotional leadership and showing leadership by example. Second competitive advantage is Korean peculiar sincerity and diligence, can-do spirit, perseverance and fast implementation. Lastly, The social status as Korean immigrants made them weak position in Australian society but it was found that they have made weakness a strength. They built up the solidarity with Korean immigrant society and took advantage of it for their business. Based on the results, implications for researchers and practitioners are discussed.

  • This study aims to consider the display method of the STA information that holds aesthetic cultural distinctiveness with the capability of immediate recognition of information in the relationship between the exposed time and the degree of cognition. As an consideration on the display method of information in an efficient way according as 'information attributes', the purpose of this study is to identify the visualization attributes of the STA information and to seek out display methods accordingly. Based on the information design and cognitive psychology, the cognitive features of the STA information have been identified and four visualization attributes of the STA information have been found based on the preceding studies on the information attributes in line with the relationship between exposure frequency and the level of awareness. In terms of information recognition, a metaphor, metonymy, use of indexical image and context, rhetoric, and Mnemonic have been proposed as major display methods for 'Understandable' and 'Conciseness', which are the major visualization attributes of the STA information while humor, parody, distinctiveness, friendliness, kitsch, formative beauty and newness have been suggested as the major display methods of 'Relevance' and 'Valuable', which are the major visualization attributes from the perspective of sensitive perception of information. Based on the results of this study, I'm planning to come up with display methods and to proceed with analyzing the relationship of the degree of cognition in association with context.

Structuring of Integrated Design System Based on Emotion Process Model for Successful Brand Image Building (성공적 브랜드 이미지 구축을 위한 감성 처리 모형 기반의 통합 디자인 체계 구성)

  • With the shift of consumer’s spending behaviors further into emotionally-driven purchases, the role of brand is becoming even more important, which in turn, expands design’s role in the brand image strategy. The contact point between the consumers and the brand is the primary channel for building strong brand image through experience. Therefore, it is critical to comprehensively plan and manage the consumer contact point for any brand. Given the changing market conditions, the objective of this study is to define and structure an integrated design development and management system for building successful brand image. In order to do so, the research analyzed the characters of brand image, the conditions for consumer experience and the roles of emotion. The analysis into the correlation between images and emotion process model yields three natures of an image. The image 1) is based on empirical decisions, 2) expresses and conveys emotional aspects and 3) builds mental values through a sense of sympathy. Through case studies of successful designs that meet all three characteristics, the roles of a brand icon in building strong brand image and the needs for integrated design approach for implementation are defined. The methods for integrated design include 1) providing a focal point through brand image positioning, 2) utilizing visual themes based on brand image plot, 3) building a Total Identity Program to holistically manage brand images and 4) developing brand icons for brand image reinforcement.

Comparison Between Face Color Change and Its Recognition Difference on Asian: Korean, Indonesian and Vietnamian (아시아인의 얼굴색 변화와 인지도간 상관성 비교 : 한국인, 인도네시아인, 베트남인)

  • Various indicators representing skin characteristics such as skin hydration, sebum excretion rate, lightness, and pH are different depending on environmental and genetic factors. However, they are absolute skin indicators and are different from skin characteristics that a person recognizes. Based on this fact, many recent studies have been mainly conducting researches on perspective changes according to changes of absolute skin. This study was proposed not only to find out differences on skin colors of asian by nations, but also to find out whether there was any difference in skin brightness they perceive depending on actual skin color changing. As many as 410 subjects of three Asia nations were participated in this study, and investigated their responses on skin brightness using questionnaire, which was answered their skin color in three different levels. It was also were analyzed how actual skin brightness were changed depending on their perceived skin color changes of subjects. There was a trend showing that the brightness of the actual skin color was increased when participants felt their skin color got brighter regardless of their nationalities. However, there were some differences in color between perceived color and actual color. In addition, there was a different aspect by nations in changes of skin redness and skin yellowness. In conclusion, it was revealed that factors which help people to perceive their own skin brightness were not based on absolute skin brightness, but on different criteria depending on where they are from.

Study on the method of safety diagnosis of electrical equipments using fuzzy algorithm (퍼지알고리즘을 이용한 전기전자기기의 안전진단방법에 대한 연구)

  • Recently, the necessity of safety diagnosis of electrical devices has been increasing as the fire caused by electric devices has increased rapidly. This study is concerned with the safety diagnosis of electric equipment using intelligent Fuzzy technology. It is used as a diagnostic input for the multiple electrical safety factors such as the use current, cumulative use time, deterioration and arc characteristics inherent to the equipment. In order to extract these information in real time, a device composed of various sensor circuits, DSP signal processing, and communication circuit is implemented. The fuzzy logic algorithm using the Gaussian function for each information is designed and compiled to be implemented on a small DSP board. The fuzzy logic receives the four diagnostic information, deduces it by the fuzzy engine, and outputs the overall safety status of the device as a 100-step analog fuzzy value familiar to human sensibility. By experiments of a device that combines hardware and fuzzy algorithm implemented in this study, it is verified that it can be implemented in a small DSP board with human-friendly fuzzy value, diagnosing real-time safety conditions during operation of electric equipment. In the future, we expect to be able to study more intelligent diagnostic systems based on artificial intelligent with AI dedicated Micom.

Relationship between User's-Oriented Emotional Design and Elements of Creativity (소비자 지향적 감성디자인과 창의성 속성과의 관계)

  • This study examined the relationship of what kind of creative thinking has related factors for emotion design products in order to let consumers focusing on the successful cases of emotion products. For the design creativity attribute used in this experiment, the design evaluation creativity tools revealed by Kim Eun-Ju's 2007 design creativity evaluation tool development were used mostly and of the 12 most common emotion products and general product, MP3s, which have various forms, functions and sizes were selected as the target for experiment. Results of the experiment showed that for design creativeness items of all emotional products, vision creation, favorableness, convenience, practicality and being purchasable were relevant, while for MP3, uniqueness, favorableness and convenience were relevant. Accordingly, the common features of design creativeness items for emotional products were identified. When summing up the contents of the two experiments above, for emotional designs, the interest level of uniqueness for the design creativity evaluation items and the functional items for practicality had a high level of relativity. Therefore, there is a need to examine the common features between the design creativity items for general products other than MP3s in the future.

  • 휴대폰 산업의 발전과 더불어 발전해온 휴대폰 서비스는 최근 단순한 정보 제공을 넘어 생활에 중요한 도구로 활용되는 모습을 보인다. 최근 등장하는 휴대폰 서비스는 종류가 다양하고 최신 휴대폰과 결합되어 복잡해져 사용자로 하여금 필요한 서비스를 선택하여 조작하는 것까지 전반적인 사용 과정의 어려움을 가져왔다. 더군다나 휴대폰 서비스는 무형의 상품이기 때문에 직접 조작해보지 못하고 사용해야 하며, 이것은 사람들로 하여금 불안감을 갖도록 한다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 휴대폰 서비스에 대한 불안감을 줄이고 사용을 확장시키는 방법으로 서비스를 직접 만지고 조작해볼 수 있는 사전 체험을 제안하며, 이를 위한 도구로 웹사이트를 활용하는 방안을 제안한다. 웹사이트는 상호작용적인 매체로써 자연스럽게 사용자가 참여하고 개입하도록 유도하는 매체이며, 다양한 시각적, 청각적 미디어를 활용할 수 있어 감각적 체험을 제공하는데 유리하다. 또한 다른 매체와 비교해 웹사이트는 공간적, 시간적 제약이 적어 많은 사람들이 원하는 시간에 접근하도록 한다. 또한 이성과 감성적인 정보를 통합적으로 처리하는 인간의 특성을 고려해 볼 때, 정보와 재미를 함께 제공할 수 있는 웹사이트의 특성은 효과적이라 볼 수 있다. 마케팅 측면에서 보더라도 저렴한 비용으로 많은 사람들에게 정보를 전달할 수 있고, 사용자들의 행동을 측정해 데이터베이스화 한 후 후에 활용할 수 있다. 이러한 점들을 통합해보면 웹사이트는 휴대폰 서비스를 체험해보도록 하는 공간으로 적합하다고 볼 수 있다. 웹사이트에서 가상 체험을 효과적으로 활용하기 위해서 사용자들의 체험 과정에 어떠한 요인이 영향을 미치는지 알 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 현재 휴대폰 서비스 체험 사이트들의 체험 제공 방식을 분석해 유형을 나눈 후에 사용자 조사를 통해 사용자들에게 선호되는 방식과 체험 과정에 영향을 미친 요인을 고찰한다. 그리고 최종적으로 이러한 요인이 실제 휴대폰 서비스에 대한 호감과 어떤 관계를 갖는지 알아본다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 최근 가장 높은 이용률을 보이고 있는 20,30대 휴대폰 서비스 사용자 100명을 대상으로 2005년 10월 20일~30일에 설문조사와 간단한 인터뷰를 실시하여 선호 유형과 체험에 영향을 미치는 요인을 도출하였으며, 서비스 호감과의 관계를 알기 위해 이 중 가장 관여도가 높았던 17명을 대상으로 2005년 11월 10일~15일에 심층 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 사용자 조사 결과, 분류된 유형 중 체험방식에서는 개입의 정도가 클수록, 사용상황 안내방식에서는 가상공간과 메뉴로 제공하는 방식을, 사용방법 안내형식에서는 휴대폰 전체 이미지를, 마지막으로 표현형식에서는 일러스트레이션과 영상을 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 체험에 영향을 미치는 요인은 체험적 측면,정보제공 측면,웹사이트의 측면으로 구분되었으며 휴대폰 서비스의 호감과의 관계에서는 체험적 측면과 정보제공 측면은 서비스에 대한 호감과 깊은 관계를 갖고 있는 것으로 나타난 반면에 웹사이트의 측면은 서비스와 직접적인 관련을 짓지 않는 것으로 나타났다.
