  • 전통적인 수학교육은 간단한 수학적 사실을 이해하고 활용하는 측면에 있어서는 효과적일 수도 있지만, 수학적 개념, 원리, 법칙을 학생 스스로 탐구, 발견하고 창조하는 능력을 기르는 데는 적절하지 않다. 이러한 능력을 기르기 위해서는 학생들 스스로가 관찰, 조작, 분석, 종합하는 활동을 강화할 필요가 있다. 구체적 조작물을 학습도구로 활용하는 경우, 수학 학습에 대한 흥미와 자신감을 길러 주고, 자신의 수준에 맞는 내용을 자기 주도적 학습을 통하여 성취감을 가지게 하며, 학생 스스로 탐구 활동을 활발히 하는데 도움이 된다. 삶의 질이 급격히 향상되는 정보사회에서는 사이버 공간의 등장으로 공간감각 기능의 필요성이 더욱 절실한 바, 현행 수학교과서에서 제공되는 각종 공간 도형들은 3차원 공간에서 이루어지지 않고 평면도형으로 처리함으로써 아동의 도형인지 능력 향상에 큰 효과를 기대하기 어렵다. 이에 본 연구에서는 아동의 인지발달 단계를 고려, 도형인지능력 향상을 위한 선 및 점대칭 관련 동기유발, 선수, 기본, 보충, 심화, 평가, 도움말 관련 프로그램을 개발, 적용한 결과 학습자의 동기가 유발되고, 도형 인지능력 향상에 유의미한 결과를 얻었다.

Estimation on the Interior and Outside Aircraft Noise Level of Residential House (주거용 건물의 실내.외 항공기소음레벨 평가)

  • It is important to increase the sound proof performance of building for reducing the influence of aircraft noise on the bais of actual survey of existed buildings. The purpose of this study is to propose the basic data for designing sound insulation of residential house. In this study, field measurement of aircraft noise Interior and outside noise level difference were carried out for 7 days in 2 residential houses. As the result, aircraft noise levels showed to be Leq $71.8{\sim}74.5$dB(A), WECPNL $82.2{\sim}83.4$ and indoor noise level were NC-55 ${\sim}63$ over acceptable NC-30 in 2 measured houses. Noise reduction effect showed to be $15.8{\sim}23.1$dB(A) in measured houses, and houses with double window were preferable to those with single window in sound proof performance. The outside sound pressure level for residential house was a little different according to the type of source. In measuring by using aircraft noise it was effected by angle and distance from measuring point, to aircraft, window area, and sound absorption of room, and so on.

Design of Ball-based Mobile Haptic Interface (볼 기반의 모바일 햅틱 인터페이스 디자인)

  • In this paper, we present a design and an evaluation of a hand-held ball based haptic interface, named "TouchBall." Using a trackball mechanism, the device provides flexibility in terms of directional degrees of freedom. It also has an advantage of a direct transfer of force feedback through frictional touch (with high sensitivity), thus requiring only relatively small amount of inertia. This leads to a compact hand-held design appropriate for mobile and 3D interactive applications. The device is evaluated for the detection thresholds for directions of the force feedback and the perceived amount of directional force. The refined directionality information should combine with other modalities with less sensory conflict, enriching the user experience for a given application.

The Evaluation of Texture Image and Preference according to the Structural Characteristics of Silk Fabric (견직물의 구조적 특성에 따른 질감이미지와 선호도 평가)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the evaluation of texture image and preference according to the structural characteristics of silk fabric, and to analyze the effects of texture image and sensibility on the preference. 53 female subjects evaluated fabric image and sensibility of 17 specimens of white silk fabrics sold on the market with semantic differential scale. The data were analyzed through factor analysis, Pearson correlational coefficient and t-test using SPSS win 13.0. For the evaluation, structural characteristics such as fiber contents, weave type, weight and thickness were analyzed. Factor analysis showed that sensibilities were classified into 3 categories; 'surface property', 'weight', 'flexibility'. Fabric images were classified into 2 categories; 'elegance' and 'naturalness'. Statistically significant differences of structural characteristics on the texture image were observed. Weave type affected 'surface property' and fiber contents affected' flexibility'. Weight and weave type affected' elegance', too. The significant factors affecting preference were fabric image of 'elegance' and structural characteristics of 'weave type'. The results of this study showed that the most preferred silk fabric is smooth and soft satin weaved fabric with texture image of 'elegance'.

Effects of NaCl and Temperature on the Sensory Characteristics of Natural Flavor Enhancers (NaCl 첨가 및 평가 온도에 따른 천연조미소재의 감각적 특성)

  • The objectives of this study were to evaluate the sensory properties of various natural flavor enhancers (NFEs) and to understand the effects of NaCl and temperature on the sensory characteristics of these NFEs. Descriptive analysis was conducted to evaluate six types of NFEs: yeast extract-based NFE, three; fish sauce-based NFE, one; soy sauce-based NFE, one; and hydrolyzed peptide NFE-based, one. The effects of NaCl (no addition vs. addition) and temperature ($20^{\circ}C$ vs. $55^{\circ}C$) were also evaluated. The results showed that the overall flavor intensity and sensory properties of the NFEs differed greatly depending on the NFE source. Two of the yeast extract-based NFEs elicited higher umami intensity than the other NFEs. Addition of NaCl increased some of the savory-related flavors and the perceived viscosity of the sample. Aroma intensities, in general, were enhanced at the higher temperature, whereas flavor, aftertaste, and mouthfeel attributes were perceived to be stronger at the lower temperature.

Research on presentation of subjective tactile sensation by stiffness model of haptic system (주관적 촉감 재현을 위한 Haptic System의 Stiffness Model에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 Haptic System의 물리적 stiffness(N/mm)와 사용자의 주관적 촉감정보(단단하다, 무르다)의 상관성에 관한 것이다. tangible media와 같은 컨텐츠의 촉감을 실감나게 표현하기 위해서는 사용자가 주관적으로 느끼는 힘의 강도가 haptic system에 매핑이 되어야 한다. 따라서 사용자의 주관적인 힘의 강도와 haptic system의 물리적 stiffness간에 상관성 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 물리적 특성을 결정하고 하드웨어와 소프트웨어를 연동시켜 촉감을 모델링하는 haptic 렌더링을 통해 정량화된 외부의 자극(변화)에 대해 사람이 심리적으로 느끼고 있는 감각을 정량화하여 입력 자극과의 관계를 밝히고자 팬텀을 이용해 두 번의 실험을 실시하였다. 먼저 haptic system에서 사용자가 힘의 차이를 느낄 수 있는 stiffness의 해상도를 측정하고, 그에 따라 나뉘어진 해상도 별로 촉감에 대한 주관적인 평가를 하였다. ANOVA결과에 따르면 haptic system의 물리적 stiffness와 사용자의 주관적 촉감정보간에 유의한 상관관계가 분석되었으며 회귀분석을 실시하여 유의한 정도를 회귀 방정식으로 도출하였다. 따라서tangible media를 이용한 실감적인 촉감 컨텐츠를 재현하는 기술에 본 연구결과가 유용하게 사용되리라 기대된다.

Evaluation of Portable Slipmeter using Human Perception (인간의 인지적 감각을 이용한 휴대용 미끄럼 측정기의 성능평가)

  • The objectives of this study were to evaluate the safe criteria of portable slipmeter using human perception onto the several different floor surfaces under contaminated conditions. It was difficult to find why many different slipmeters took there's own safe criteria. It is still unclear how thres hold values established in many literatures. Two different subjective slippery evaluating methods, AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and Friedman test,were used to evaluate the perception of slipperiness of seven different floor surfaces under the contaminated condition with detergent solution. Twelve subjects worn same footwear and walked with self-selected step and cadence along the test floors. The SCOF(Static Coefficient of Friction) obtained for same test conditions with BOT-3000 was compared to perception of slipperiness to establish as a safe criteria. The very high significant correlation(r=0.97) was found between AHP and Friedman test. Also, The high significant correlation(r=0.96) was found between AHP and SCOF obtained with BOT-3000. The results suggested that the SCOF should be greater than 0.63 for safer walking. Perception rating obtained with AHP showed a high correlation with Friedman test and the SCOF obtained with BOT-3000 except for polished tile floor. The safe criteria obtained through this study were similar to ANSI/NFSIB101.1.

The Effects of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation and Electroacupuncture Stimulation Therapy on the Current Perception Threshold of Orofacial Region (구강안면영역에서의 경피성 신경자극과 전기침자극요법이 전류인지역치에 미치는 영향)

  • 구강안면동통 환자의 치료법으로 널리 쓰이는 전기요법은 연조직과 신경계 구조물에 대한 치료 시 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 저자는 현재 구강안면동통의 치료법으로 널리 쓰이고 있는 전기요법들 중 경피성 신경자극(Transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation)과 전기침자극요법(Electroacupuncture stimulation therapy)이 각각의 신경섬유에 미치는 효과를 평가하고자 정상 성인 남녀 29명에게 경피성 신경자극 및 전기침자극을 시행하고 시행 전 및 시행 후 삼차신경 영역의 3가지 종류($A{\beta}$, $A{\delta}$, C fiber)의 신경섬유의 전류인지역치(CPT) 변화를 측정하여 그 차이점을 분석하였으며 이를 대조군과 비교하였다. 경피성 신경자극 및 전기침자극 모두에서 대조군에 비해 삼차신경 영역의 모든 신경섬유에 걸쳐 고른 전류인지역치의 증가를 나타내었으며, 경피성 신경자극과 전기침자극 후의 전류인지역치 변화량은 서로 유의할만한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 이는 경피성 신경자극 과 전기침자극 모두 3가지 종류($A{\beta}$, $A{\delta}$, C fiber)의 감각신경섬유의 전류인지역치에 영향을 미치며, 구강안면동통의 감소에 효과적으로 사용될 수 있으리라 생각된다.

  • A vehicle driving simulator is a virtual reality device which a human being feels as if the one drives a vehicle actually. The driving simulator is used effectively for studying interaction of a driver-vehicle and developing vehicle system of a new concept. The driving simulator consists of a vehicle motion bed system, motion controller, visual and audio system, vehicle dynamic analysis system, cockpit system, and etc. In it is paper, the main procedures to develop the driving simulator are classified by five parts. First, a motion bed system and a motion controller, which can track a reference trajectory, are developed. Secondly, a performance evaluation of the motion bed system for the driving simulator is carried out using LVDTs and accelerometers. Thirdly, a washout algorithm to realize a motion of an actual vehicle in the driving simulator is developed. The algorithm changes the motion space of a vehicle into the workspace of the driving simulator. Fourthly, a visual and audio system for feeling higher realization is developed. Finally, an integration system to communicate and monitor between sub systems is developed.

A Study on the Evaluation Metric of a Civil Aircraft Noise (민간항공기 소음평가 단위에 관한 연구)

  • The duration time of aircraft noise event is also an important factor for the evaluation of civil aircraft noise, which is considered as a notable characteristic of military aircraft noise. SEL is proved as a suitable noise metric for the measuring military aircraft noise of various flight pattern considering the duration time of noise event. This study reviews whether SEL is a suitable for measuring civil aircraft noise and study shows SEL is fairly compensating the duration time of civil aircraft noise event for the evaluation of aircraft noise. Noise metric for the evaluation aircraft noise based on SEL is more appropriate than based on $L_{MAX}$ for compensating duration time of noise event either military aircraft or civil aircraft. In this reason, current formula of WECPNL based on energy average of measured $L_{MAX}$ for the evaluation of aircraft noise impact in 'Test Method of Noise and Vibration of Korea' is recommended to be amended to formula of WECPNL based on energy average of measured SEL considering compensation of noise event duration time, if WECPNL is not based on measured EPNL, a metric compensating duration time.
