  • This study was to develop a dementia prevention integration program and apply to elderly women living alone to evaluate the applicability of the program. Fifty-six participants who enrolled at local public health centers were assigned. The control and experimental groups were assigned to 28 subjects. As a result of the study, the integrated program for prevention of dementia showed that the experimental group was more effective as the self-practice program than the control group. Therefore, This program is considered to be a self-practice integrated dementia prevention program. In the future, this program should be revised and supplemented and extended to the local community, So it is necessary to seek a nursing intervention strategy that subjects can continuously practice.

  • The objective of this study was to examine the degree of job stress and drinking levels among emergency room nurses and to investigate the association between these variables. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires completed by 106 nurses working in emergency room of hospitals from 3 different cities. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 program. The results showed that the mean job stress score was 45.93±6.81 points, while 18.9% of the subjects were in the disordered alcohol use group. Differences in drinking levels were found according to the work experience of the nurses (χ2=8.249, p=.041), while significant differences in job stress scores were found according to marital status (t=-2.72, p=.008) and desire to continue working (t=-2.272, p=.025). There was a significant correlation between job stress and drinking level (r=-.147, p= .000). Measures to lower job stress among emergency room nurses are need based on the findings in the study and it is expected that decreasing the drinking level of nurse would contribute to this.

  • The aim of the study was to assess the prevalence of young adults obesity, morbid obesity and severe obesity and to identify associated factors. Data for 50,095 participants aged 20-39 from Community Health Survey 2019. Chi-square test and multiple logistic regression were used for the analysis. Prevalence for young adults obesity, morbid obesity and severe obesity were 23.60%, 5.86% and 1.31%. Aged of 20's, male, low income, low educational level and marital status were found to be associated with all stages of obesity. Current smoking, high risk drinking, physical activity, health promotion practices, subjective health, EQ-5D, stress, depressive symptoms and comorbidities increased the prevalence of obesity in young adults. Health check-up, subjective health, EQ-5D, stress, depressive symptoms and comorbidities increased the prevalence of severe obesity in young adults. Based on the results, it is necessary to develop and provide focused intervention consisting of characteristics of young adults and stages of obesity.

  • In 2016, the number of suicides per 100,000 population in Korea was 24.6, which is the highest record of OECD countries. The number of suicide deaths increased with age. Elderly people have a higher risk of completed suicide than any other age group. The purpose of this study was to analyze the panel data of the Korean Welfare Panel Study to identify the factors affecting the suicide of Korean older people. This study analyzed the data of the 11th Korean Welfare Panel Study, which was constructed in 2016. The mean age of the participants was 75.55 years and 37% were man and 63% were women. The annual prevalence of suicidal ideation was 3.4%. The effects of depression(Exp(B)=1.113) and subjective health status((Exp(B)=.767) on suicidal ideation was statistically significant by stepwise logistic regression analysis(Nagelkerke $R^2=.248$). Therefore, for the effective application of suicide prevention program for the older people, assessment of subjective health status and depression screening should be preceded.

  • This study was conducted in order to identify consumption and experience of adverse effects of high-caffeine energy drink among high school students. This study was a descriptive survey including 245 students in D city. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and ${\chi}^2$ test. In the results, 79.5% of the students had previous experience of energy drink consumption. 50.6% of students were experienced adverse effects, mainly palpitation. Among the general characteristics, there was a significant difference according to the experience of high-caffeine energy drink consumption depending on monthly allowance(p=.019) and drinking(p=.033), and a significant difference from adverse effects depending on gender(p=.001) and health condition(p=.006). Also, there was a significant difference according to the experience of adverse effects depending on drinking reason(p=.040) and drinking time(p=.005). After, policy measures are needed to limit the sale of high-caffeine energy drinks and continuous health education is needed to foster the ability of students to control themselves.

The subjects include 280 students enrolled in G university and data were collected from Sep. 6 to Oct. 10, 2018. On average, each score of smartphone addiction, sleeping hours and lack of sleep was $34.79{\pm}7.6$, $6.43{\pm}1.34$ and $10.14{\pm}3.14$ respectively. Smartphone addition had a significantly positive correlation with lack of sleep(r=.277, p<0.01) and a positive correlation with its sub-areas, such as disability in daily life(r=.269, p<0.01), virtual(r=.151, p<0.01), withdrawal(r=.303, p<0.01), tolerance(r=.184, p<0.01). The education and counselling for preventing undergraduates from smartphone addiction and further studies on them are required.

Data were collected through self reported structured questionnaire from Care givers using convenient sampling methods from May 1 to August 30, 2019. The data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 25.0 using independent t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's correlational coefficient and multiple regression. These factors together explained 42.0% of the Quality of service in Care givers(F=13.86, p=<.001). Factor influence the Quality of Service was Self-Efficacy(β=0.56, p=<.001). The findings of this study indicate that education programs should be developed to improve the self-efficiency of caregivers and that further studies should be conducted on their effects.

  • This study investigates the last twenty two years of research trends in the burnout of psychiatric ward nurses and suggests guidance for future studies. Five domestic databases were used in the literature search, and fourteen articles that met the inclusion criteria were reviewed. thirteen articles were descriptive, cross-sectional studies and one study was qulitative study. Among the quantitative study, the most used instrument to measure burnout of nurses working in psychiatric wards was the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). The individual factors related to burnout in nurses in psychiatric wards were age, marital status, years of clinical experience psychiatric mental health nurse license status. monthly income, religious status and education related to psychiatry. The most related situational factor that affect burnout in psychiatric ward nurses was experience of violence. In future research, large-scale cross-sectional and longitudinal studies should be conducted, and based on this, intervention studies should be conducted on reducing the burnout of psychiatric ward nurses.

The subject included 633 participants who visited to university medical center or public health center in Daejeon from July 2017 to July 2018 for regular check-up. The data were analyzed using independent t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficients by SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. As a result, 633 participants showed the differences in health behaviors according to age, religion, level of education, and the number of diagnostic indicators. By types of metabolic syndrome based on "hyperglycemia", there was a difference in stress management between groups. Moreover, in the group with hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia was associated with stress management among health behaviors.
